- This machine is sturdy and it's turning can prove helpful in tracks like Drift Highway. BUT some of its benefits are largely overshadowed by other factors hindering it's true potential. In fact, it may even feel weaker than it should be.

Kind of a random comment, but I love the dynamic music in this game and how it changes/ramps up on the final lap to a climactic version of the music that was already playing. More noticeable with some tunes than others, but still, just another example of the attention to detail that went into this great game... no wonder it is the favorite for so many.
Dang, man. He really meant it when Mr. Zero asked him "How did you win?" And he answered "I killed everyone else."
I did this exact thing on F-Zero X...I got so good at it that I could literally finish most races as the only one left. It was like "Highlander", heh. Even before that, Wild Goose can help to win a lot of cups, because it's exactly as the lore goes--he may not be the fastest or most agile racer...but he can target the ones with the most points in the Cup, and knock them out of the entire race. Literally an assassin. Wild Goose and Pico will forever be my favorite racer. :)

Has always been my favorite designed machine in the series. I was extremely surprised when I first used it in GX (basically everyone who tried this machine was surprised at how it handled) and I've come to enjoy piloting this machine.
Seems that they were trying to create a deathmatch battle machine with the Wild Goose, but what good is it when it can't even catch it's prey properly.
When unlocking Pico's video I didn't actually win any races. Just KOed anyone else who started growing in points.
Many forget that being 1st in races isn't everything. It sometimes pays to take out the competition.
@@custom-r Kind of funny since in the interview, if I recall (it's been ages) if you ask him the secret to his success he says something along the lines of "I knocked out all the other racers!" so basically I think it was intended for you to win that way.
Watching this, I feel like the way this machine is built is to use small boosts to line up with victims instead of going past them. I guess it makes sense, but it really is just bizarre to pilot.
But hey, with 30+ racers, I'm sure we can afford the variety.
Wild Goose’s boost duration is abyssmally low which is actually what contributes to its boosted speed being slow. Its boost strength stat is also lower than Blue Falcon’s.
Oh, yes. The perfect example that some stats in GX are a lie. It should be a Fat Shark with better grip, but nah. It turned out to be one of the worst machines in the game. A disappointment as Pico is one of my favorite characters.
This thing is hard to get first with on higher difficulties
Yep, they made this war machine real bad. It does fair better than a few but it's still not great.
I hate that this car also has the same fixated camera issue as the White Cat. It really screws up your turns alongside that awful cornering. Might I mention some cars that are heavier than Wild Goose can turn better??
