The suspense is the ol cliffhanger we all herd about. He's talking E, F and G part of the story without the A, B, Cs of the initial conflict. Ol Logger Wade, YOU REMEMBER WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSE TO GO TAKE CARE OF THAT...OHH, I DON'T THINK I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT YET. ITS A PARTY🎉 🥳 😂😂😂 YEAH HAW!!!
"It worries me that how fast we live our lives, that I'm not gonna have the opportunity to be a good dad to my boy" Whew, talk about getting hit in the feels! All the stuff you share with us in your videos is cool to see, but THIS is what we missed the most while you were away. I'll follow your comment with "said every great Dad!" God bless, Logger Wade. Seem to be doing a damn good job if you ask me!
Wade the fact that nobody was in the din din when it was hit by lightning is a blessing cause if someone was in it they could have gotten temporary hearing damage or full hearing loss or temporary blindness or full loss of vision or worse loss of life
Wade just wanted to let you know, i just watched the pod cast with DP. I grew up spending time with my Dad, working at his business. He was all work no play. Or so it seemed. Hated it then, as a kid wouldn't have it any other way now. He is 77 now and still working every day. Love going to work with him every day i can. Your kids will appreciate it later in life. Would love to see those kids at work with old DAD, and Grandpa or Grandma
As they say shit happens. But we are so glad that you are back with us on UA-cam. You and your family were dearly missed. I'm so sorry for the dindin burning. Hope and pray that everything is resolved. I'm looking forward to the next video! Thanks for sharing! 😊😊
Wade, cat owns Perkins now, we were in the factory in Peoria Illinois and they were making yellow and grey engines on the same line! Perkins used to be a British company and was used in Massey tractors, jcb diggers and all sorts. When cat bought it many other manufacturers stopped using Perkins engines.
Definitely will miss the din din I watched you build her from the start. I recently had my huge 160’x80’ hay barn burn down. That was built in the 50s. I know what you mean by the puddle of aluminum. The fire department didn’t even know their was a 16’ bass tracker And a 04 gmc truck. Until I shows them the titles for everything. Nothing was left. Fire is no joke!!!
So glad you have decided to start do videos again. Awesome you that opportunity to send time with your son. More to life than just working to have something for them if they even want to take it over.
Sounds like from ur explanation that when the lightning hit the hose and it exploded the electrical current stopped with that and lit the hydraulic oil on fire. That's what I'm thinking happened. Cause the insurance guy was right it's a steel machine sitting on steel tracks on the ground so it should be grounded that way. That's what makes sense to me anyways. If it hadn't struck the hose I think it wouldn't have hurt it
Glad to see you back! It's a different generation of kids these days for sure but the one thing you don't need to do is worry too much about them boy's, you and Anne are raising them right.
Dude, I just love your outlook on life... even though you and Levi were driving like crazy, it's quality memories you were making ❤ Saw safe my friend !
nice to see ya back wade, family time is most important. take care of that, now im gonna go meet with my agent to make sure my machine has all the needed coverage.
Glad everybody was not hurt. Love watching you Tater. Keep that chin up and keep hammering down. That is how life throws you different stuff. God wont give you more than you cant handle.
West VA. Is beautiful place wade ! Glad you'll went , I used to go Stream fishing in the fall there , saw more deer ,wood chuck, than I could think of ! Herds! Glad your back buddy , and glad you took a break , we have to listen to our heart ... Be safe ...
You doing a fine job with them boys Wade. From what I've seen of y'all interacting I can tell by the way they look at you that you're a great father to them. 👍
That’s terrible buddy you have definitely been through some rough patches this year glad you got through and came back on UA-cam I have faith you will be better than ever all around things happen buddy thanks for sharing don’t overwork yourself god bless you
Wade you are right family is so important, you’re a great person and an awesome DAD! Life goes by fast! Thanks for sharing and it’s good to have you back! Kevin
Wow, my dad had a 1985 Gafner Iron Mule 5500 that burnt from a lightning strike in 1991. Had one heck of a time with the insurance too. 6yr old machine at the time !
God bless logger Wade and family. Glad you took time out to focus on the important things that needed your attention and time. Take some time for yourself we are very glad that you are back and bless you Mr Wade
Welcome Home Wade. It’s great to hear you again! Sorry about the drama, but Congrats on making time with Family and big deal! Bless’ns to You and Yours, Tedd
Still makes a good parts tractor. You have a couple booms, a couple of tracks, a few cylinders, bucket.. etc.. there's still a lot there to salvage. I would bet the engine is still good too.
glad your back Wade. sorry for the hassle you have had to go through , If you can afford it get replacement cost Insurance, but still have to read between the lis and have a Philadelphia Lawer
Great to see you back you look you’re in a better place now look after yourself and don’t try to put out more than you feel happy doing we appreciate you God Bless you and your family 👍
Thanks for coming back to UA-cam and thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Great to see you back in action. Congratulations on the personal growth you made with the challenges life threw your way. Wishing you and your family the best.
Good to hear from you Wade. Sorry to hear about trouble at the mill and then the din din. Looking forward to hearing more about the summer, we missed you and even asked DP about you. He said you were having issues and left it at that.
No doubt losing a machine sucks. Good thing is nobody was hurt and Big Daddy got in safe out of the storm. When it comes to equipment fires it's hard to stop them when they start especially when they're soaked with oil and covered in grease. My Ol Man lost his Volvo 210B this past summer and was actually in it when the fire started. Biggest kick in the pants for him was he only had 1 payment left on it... again, good to hear everyone is safe and that you managed to keep moving forward even with the insurance BS and that through it all, you got some time with your boy. Be safe out there ol boy and again welcome back. 😁👍
My wife wants a new porch. The 1 I built was temporary in 2005. So she was burning trash and something fell and light the porch railing on fire. I told her that's not the way to get a new porch. Lol. Wade Glad ur back.
New river gorge is a really neat place I hope you got a chance to check out the little visitors center there. The history there was pretty dang cool! Glad to see ya back Wade!
Just listened to your explanation about the hose that was hit by lightening Wade. There is SO much current in that strike, it instantaneously boils the Hydraulic oil and the rapid expansion of the fluid blows the hose to smithereens. Of course as the vaporised oil comes out of the hose it is ignited by the lightening and results in a massive fireball! Its called a BLEVE. Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion. Poor Den Den!
I live in Charleston and have worked a lot pipelining.....and fishing up around the new River gorge. That would have awesome to see you. Im not a logger i move dirt for a living. Love your stuff and glad your back.
Wade im here to tell ya bud each every day your able to wake up and spend time with family and friends is a blessing and you will never be able to replace that ever!!!! And this world is getting worse off you and i both know so just keep your head above water brother, your a great person and a great dont ever question that. Hope you have great day and god bless you and be safe out there
hell wade if it wasn"t for bad luck you would have none good to see you bounce back keep doing what your doing it will come right thanks for sharing and keep smiling 👍👍👍
Sons a biscuit, yall came right by my town of Clifton Forge VA, I sure as heck would have treated yall to a meal at our restaurant. Maybe next time. Great video, thanks for sharing
How Powerful Is Lightning? A typical lightning flash is about 300 million Volts and about 30,000 Amps. In comparison, household current is 120 Volts and 15 Amps. When the lightning struck the boom that many amps generates more than enough heat to set the hydraulic fluid on fire. Yes, the lightning amps did ground to earth but their was enough heat to ignite the hydraulic oil. If the lightning had struck anywhere on the machine where there was no hose, probably no fire.
Please make more videos on this truck. I loved this series and I don't know anything about heavy equipment but I loved watching you getting the old girl up and running.
Wade , Sorry to hear about the succession of problems you’ve had. It’s just the natural course of things. Hope you’re on the way back and just enjoy the small things of life. Those become the most important and memorable in the end. Take care and keep having the Craic (crack) . It’ll get you through. Remember everyday’s a school day.
Fist fight?! What? Wait, you can't just casually mention that and not explain what the heck you talking about Wade. You got to tell us about this.
Maybe he got his butt kicked???
Maybe dirt perfect can add some clarity
Bummer ya lost the Dindin. I'm sure you'll recover just fine. 👍💪😎.
Glad you and the boy took time to create some memories.
Did Dirt Perfect beat you up? You’re a big ol son of a buck, I hope he packed a lunch, it’d be an all day affair

My mom is from falling rock WV. Those hollers are so much fun! Totally different than being born and raised on the big island of Hawaii.
So glad you have decided to start do videos again. Awesome you that opportunity to send time with your son. More to life than just working to have something for them if they even want to take it over.
Man you shouldn’t worry about being a good father. It’s extremely evident that you are a great one.
