Some of rigs we saw twice at different locations so I’m confused if this is responses stitched together from more than one call or if there are multiple photographers?

As a eastcoast guy asking. ! What's the wrecker going in for? ? Can't say I've ever seen a emergency response of a wrecker

It’s a heavy rescue it doesn’t act like a normal wrecker , 50 ton rotator used to lift things move objects around at scenes and stabilize wrecks and occasionally urban search and rescue assistance . True towing is done by fleet services using a landoll tilt bed trailer or cozad flat deck

That's because it's a heavy rescue truck they can use it to to lift heavy objects

@stevesulligan1080 LAFD has had this type of unit in service since 1948. Originally the dept called these a Heavy Utility and than a Heavy Rescue. If you have get a chance do Google search for LAFD Heavy Utility and than LAFD Heavy Rescue. This is the third PETERBILT the dept has owned. The trucks before were KENWORTH, MACK and CROWN. Crown made Fire Engines, School Buses and Buses for the SHERIFF's dept. CROWN's were made here locally in Los Angeles. The first new Heavy Utility the city bought was a CROWN. It was painted yellow and than repainted white and red. The second new truck was a cabover MACK painted red and white. The Heavy Rescue in this video is a 2016 PETERBILT. LAFD has a 2003 PETERBILT in reserve. Also CROWN made a special truck for the dept. That truck pulled a low bed trailer and hauled their bulldozer. I could only find two pictures of that truck. I have lived in Los Angeles my whole life and remember a lot of this the equipment. Have a Happy New Year everyone!

I think he's asking what's a Tow Truck gonna do at a fire scene. Honestly it's probably part of an alarm so he goes. Since I'm sure that unit is staffed 24/7 and not a hey make sure someone brings that rig on this call. Would be my guess.

@@Howard892 I live in Los Angeles. The dept doesn't use this for towing. They use it for lifting and yes this Heavy Rescue is staffed 365 days a year.

@@lafdvalley_responsevideos IF I remember correct, I believe I've seen some of the trucks labeled as "Dozer Tender," I figure that they are the same, if read right on a LA City Fire Heavy Equipment page, serving as heavy equipment command, in addition to providing fuel, (I figure manned by a Captain)?

3 hours of defensive operations (ladder pipes, outside fire attack) on a wrapped and framed 3 story house with heavy fire on 2nd & 3rd floors.
