Aside from killing monsters thru HR Quests,
this is an alternative way to get armor spheres with less than 5 minutes.
This video shows my comfort routine (not sure if the most optimized way) on Lava Cavern when I'm hunting lizards.
The first part of the video is where you can get armor spheres.
While in the last two lizards, you can get monsters materials.
Feel free to comment your other alternatives so the community will know!

This works for Master Rank quests too. Choose a monster in the Lava Caverns and follow the route outlined in the video for King + Heavy Armor Spheres-- then just return from the quest, rinse & repeat. Averages seven Kings per run. Don't neglect to use the Hopping Skewers with Dango Summoner as your primary dango (guarantees the lizards appear). Awesome guide, very much appreciated

I tried doing this in expeditions but realized the lizards only drop heavy armor spheres, which made the run extremely inoptimal and not worth it. after some experimentation and digging, I realized that lizards in high level anomaly investigations are the ones that drop the king spheres, so what I do is I enter a lava caverns anomaly investigation (around level 90), do this route then return from quest. you can sometimes get upwards of 10-11 king spheres per run!

huh i knew you could get three drops using your dog attacks but i had no idea you could use kunai....still learning new things damn i love this series!

Doing this while completing my sub quests nets a good amount of king armor spheres per run
There are 2 things I don't have enough of in this game
armour spheres
and
Zenny
for zenny farming, gajin hunter already has a good video about it.

I tried to follow your path and whenever I tried to find rock lizards in the same area I couldnt. While this is helpful on telling people how to get the armorsphers but the rock/boulder lizards spawn randomly so doing a video walkthrough isnt as helpful as one would like...
Hello, are you eating Dango Summoner? It increases the spawn chance of the Lizards but I don't have the specific stats
