Hopefully ~ They now enhance FOV slider if not then NEXUSMODS will .
There is a one hand knife in the vid.
What weapon is that?
Never saw that in World.
Using the wire bug to drop bombs was nutty I’ve never seen that
this channel has some other advanced tips you probably never seen. ua-cam.com/video/LcQoJ4Xq3hQ/v-deo.html
100% new tech
Yeah I’ve played every MH that shii so hard
i thought that only works with certain weapon like bows never thought it works on all
Bonus Tip!
Whenever you bring a Palico with you on a quest, your secondary actions bar (used with the D-Pad) gains the "Use The Felvine!" command. Using it will have your Hunter throw down what is basically a little catnip bomb, which not only heals your Palicos but makes them more likely to use their special tools for a while. The Felvine will recharge itself over time.
bonus bonus tip, if your palico has the sonic layered armor, the felvine will trigger super sonic
@@alienated8113 nice!!
Y'all are MVPs
In case you are new to monster hunter rise, the secret area in the training spot is showing a picture indicating all apex monsters in rise.
The cool fact is that some apexes weren't revealed yet when rise came out but some of us already knew them because of this little secret picture in the wall
Never knew about the secret area so thank you.
@@Roxas671 No problem buddy
This game always scared me because it seems so incredibly daunting with such a steep learning curve.
Finally picked it up a couple of days ago and am really happy to find out that it's not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. There is an almost overwhelming amount of things to learn and keep track of in the game...but the content/monsters starting out (I'm only on rank 3 quests) are challenging without being overly difficult.
I'm finding that I'm learning a tiny bit just about every new quest I go on and am slowly picking things up as I go. And it's all so incredibly rewarding. Each time I learn a new way to use my weapon, or a new thing I can do in town...it just feels awesome!
I've got a LONG ways to go, but I have a feeling I'm greatly going to enjoy the learning curve of this game. I feel like so far, the curve is just about spot on. Not too difficult and very rewarding!
I bough it at launch finished the story and dropped it without caring about tutourials or anything the game had to offer, i just wanted to slay cool monster, but now i am picking it up with a fresh save file and i just wanna learn everything it has to offa and mechanics, its so fun and i am so hooked
If you don't hide the monster icons in the top right of the screen, it also shows the capture state up there below the icon when they're capturable. I personally find this much easier to see in the heat of combat than the mini map icon, as it's a static solid icon, not a faded pulsing one layered over many other icons on the map.
The barrel bomb tip blew my mind.
One thing I've noticed hasn't been mentioned, demon drug and armour skin can be stacked with demon powder, might seed and hardshell powder and adamant seeds for even more of an attack and defensive buff,
Extremely helpful guide thanks heaps for all your effort
And armor charms and talons too. Isn't it?
I'd love to have percentages of the stacked effects.
The utility of evade extender in this game can not be overstated. Even if your weapons primary source of defense is blocking, it is incredibly useful for sticking to the monster like glue and getting in and out of range with ease. As a switch axe / light bowgun main it is a must have up there with rapid morph
Must be pretty lame to move out the way of an attack huh?
Not me though, I just block it
@@thetechrealist i use it to chase down monsters that ran away more often than not lol
I've been seeing videos about tips on MH Rise and this one actually presented many new things! Amazing work
That was straight to the point, very valuable. Thank you.
An ultimate guide indeed. I'm already at least 30 hours into the game, yet I still find lots of helpful info here. Good thing I watched it despite being uploaded a year ago
Wow, the first section of the video was enough to make me give a thumbs up! Great tips, especially about wall running! So THAT'S how it works!!
I love being a gunlance main and I love that hardly anyone else is. This was really helpful, thanks
Super helpful!! Love this 🎉
Really liked the content, everything is straight to the point.
Hey thanks!
This was incredibly informative. Thanks
Just found your channel but I'm glad I did. I'm already HR 40 and wish I knew some of this stuff sooner.
This game is wayyyy better than I realized, especially as someone who only tried World ( I didn't like it because it felt slow and tedious with tracking monsters, no palamute etc.) the QoL mechanics in this game are very top tier, the best MH game i've ever played
Love the video bro!!
Great one !!
Great work man thanks 🙏
At 20:25, the monster mural teased the (at the time of release) upcoming apex monsters that were yet to be revealed :)
Nice! I'm not a lore guy
Awesome tips. Thank you so much!
This was incredibly useful as a new player to Rise!! Thank you so much for making this, exactly what me and I’m sure many other people needed.
Just started playing MH again now that it got released on PS5/Xbox and this is by far the best guide I've found on UA-cam. I'll definitely be sharing this with my hunting party 👍
Thanks for the tips! I need to get better at attacking
Something you got wrong: the owl nest restocks every FIVE hunts, not three. Same with the meowcernaries. I know because I get both done in one trips.
Geez these tips are incredibly helpful for ANYONE who is new to MH Rise alone. In other words, the Rise-exclusive tips makes this video insanely good
great job learned a lot
The content in this video is fantastic! Thank you for this. I will likely be able to use this video to help my brothers get a grasp of the game.
Fantastic guide! I have a bunch of free time coming up, and I'm planning on just playing this.
sick! thanks
Good stuff! I’ll be sure to check out more while I’m waiting for the MH Rise to drop on pc next week 👍
She had the sightless eyes, telling me no lies
Knocking me out with those Anjanath thighs
Appreciate any ACDC reference. Good one.
Amazing content perfect guide
Can always count on boomstick for the pro tips 🥳
Thank you for making a GUIDE that starts in the 1st 40 seconds
As someone getting into this game late this was super helpful! Thanks for the great video! Will definitely be coming back to this one lol
How you like it so far? I’m thinking of starting MH
That cutsceneskip at the end of a quest is nice
This is good stuff, I forgot a couple of these. Hopefully my muscle memory can reach the point I was at before I stopped playing.
This was a helpfull guide thanks you now im hype for sunbreak 👍
Ty for the fov tip I was tired of looking magnamarshmallows giant leg
Thanks for the tips. It's been a hot minute since i played rise so im a bit rusty!
Just got this game on steam deck and its my first MH game, thanks for the great tips! The wall running was nerfing me hard! About to fight my first big boy.
I'm a veteran from MH 1 and I didn't know you could chuck barrel bombs at monsters in this game. That's what I get from being a hoarder, I guess. Great video. 🍷🗿
Boomstick, you really are one of the best gamer youtubers out there. You made me try so many more action games and replay ones I have differently. I just bought Warm Snow because of your convincing arguments.
Awesome! Enjoy!
Love this
About the tip on lookinf for the icon on top of the monster to see if its near death, your character in Rise also verbally says if the monster is near death aside from the monter limping also
Actually good vid. Im impressed keep up the good work
ty!
This was brilliant
Palamutes have an ability to “track” pretty much any item on the map.
Select the “track” option in the radial menu and you can choose which items the palamute will “track” which will ping it on the map for you.
Palamutes are the only ones who can track” stuff in the world.
Great video, Alex! In particular, thank you for calling the hunting horn a damage dealing weapon, and not a "support" weapon.
traditionally it was
@@flatulencetheunendingii5815 we know bruh💀
It's both. Lmao why do HH mains get so bent out of shape when called a support weapon. The bowguns are support weapons yet they have same of the fastest clear times.
Calling it a support weapon is a compliment and not an insult
dude im a returning player, till hunter rank 6 without knowing most of this xD glad i watched it, very nice vid.
Bro video itself is 2 years old
I played and beat the main game of this when it first released on Switch. Just picked it up PC with the DLC ($17 total-steal!), and this has been a huge help with refreshing my memory and teaching me little things I never knew.
Great Video brother I am Veteran but still learned a lot of new stuff
Amazing video! I learned a lot! The map setting especially I'm stoked about because I was finding it annoying to find things compared to World.
nice video title rename
Great content! Thank you very much. The video isn't like other creators who plays free demo only or copied official video footage in large parts of the their videos.
Don’t know if someone already mentioned it but u can stack power talon and power charm same is true for armor charm and armor talon
Wish you explained how to get the certain skills, first MH game so I’m not even sure how to get them working. Thanks for the advice though I hope I can figure it out and apply it
Lol the title of the video says “to start in 2024” when this vid was made 2hrs ago, I guess uploaded though about this beforehand.
I played the demo and found it lacking, but your video actually made me decide to buy it regardless, what I wanted from monster hunter world seems to be realized with this game!
This is my personal favorite Monster Hunter game. Mostly because of the gameplay mechanics.
@@BoomstickGaming there's so much going on, I can't wait to get OP early and fight my way through all of it!
wtf this video was release 2 years ago and the video says 2024? wtf
Title edits, just do it yearly and he'll most likely be quite close to the top of the search algorithm because this game isn't as popular
Clickbait gaming lol
@@DillonMerk I doubt it has anything to do with that although I know people do it all the time. I’m pretty sure he’s just saying that it’s still relevant in 2024.
because steam summer is here and maybe alot of new players probably will try this game you know
18:52 - UMAI !! :D
I've only played World before this one, and I played that when it first came out. I always get confused by the hub, and what I should do. Luckily I found out where the weapon testing area is via google. I know at least the first thing you should really do is go and play with the weapons, and work out what you want to use first. I was a Hammer main in world, but I fancy trying out the switch axe first this time, or maybe even just the longsword...
Kinsect blade looks awesome though, reminds me of Toukiden combat a lot, as a lot of that is verticality and flying through the air and stuff.
…. I wish I knew I had to actually equip the buddy skills. Damn this game is so crazy in depth
wow I enjoyed the entire video
Echo Bats also detonate when you use a flash bomb.
Sharpening on dogback is cool, but I like my two gathering cats
wow thx
Greatest guide
You forgot to add the change to raw and elemental that now due to being able to change skills weapons like the great sword can now use elemental versions much more effective due to changing skills often come in three flavours.
Multi hitting but low damage (Benefits Elemental damage)
Low hitting but big damage (Benefits Raw damage)
Mixture (Naturally what you start with)
This was designed to deal with the issue in world/iceborne that some weapons for example the great sword being locked into raw damage rendering almost all elemental weapons as being a nurf compared to just taking a raw damage weapon.
To skip that end quest cutscene, you can also stand on an object that's destroyable, like those rock piles or withered huts in the Ruins. The three structures in the arena also do this.
Honestly, I'm surprised not very many people seem to point that out.
Or if you have an insect glaive, you can stick it into a wall and hang there
Im just glad there is a demo ngl
8:09. How do you keep the minimal zoomed all the time like that? I have to hold down left bumper constantly
What is that blue armor set you’re rocking? It’s bad ass
Barrel drop ftw!
1:59 wait, huh? i played through the entire game, now coming back to play again,I never knew you could do this, they always knocked me off in a few seconds if i didn't do smth
while choosing a weapon is based on preference, imo the best beginner weapon to learn all combat-related gameplay is Sword and Shield.
It has the right tools to teach you everything. It's fast so it has minimal amount of commitment per attack. Short reach teaches you how to manage distance while having a shield reduces the punishment if you make a mistake.
It also has both (3 if you consider aerial/mounting) damage types, so you could learn where to hit a monster and with what.
Plus, it's also a powerful weapon once you've become accustomed to it.
I'm not saying everyone SHOULD start with SnS, you can decide for your own, but if you're new to the genre, try the swiss hunting knife
Idk why none of these beginner guides tell yall this but tranq the monsters FIRST then trap them. Sometimes you might be too far from the trap or other monsters might get in the way of you tranquilizing the target while they're in the trap then they break out. If you tranq them first then thrown down a trap, the second they go in it theyre immediately captured
How long does the tranq last?
Cant wait! Just under a week until pc release!!!
3 days mate :D
Chug one. My good dude. I chug a many. And yes I concentrate on village now as I’m l arming before online. But hot damn I’m excited for online.
How to use wire bug on weapons? I can only do the L2 triangle then the weapon slam
How do I perfectly beat the bosses blindfolded like Queen?
What weapon was he using at 6:53
Do the perma buffers stack? Like so i could go grab every single one then go and own the monster in my hunt?
Who else is a dual blade user?
bravo sir. well done. very informative. well made. everything i was looking for! 5 stars!
I felt so dumb, but when I realized you can hold sprint to just keep climbing it changed everything, It's funny how you can climb most cliffs by just using your wirebug twice, and theres often an extra wirebug near higher cliffs, but wow sprinting is so much better, especially for smaller narrower peaks.
What changed my life was that your dogo can jump with zr and clamber up smaller cliffs, not big ones, but it helps while chasing a monster through rocky turain
This was a nice refresher as I haven't played in months.
I want to play through the game with a new weapon come PC launch, I already played through Rise mainly with HBG and dabbled with Lance and Hammer (my first loves from older titles). Anyone have a recommendation for what weapon to play this time?
I'm doing the same, playing the weapons I'm worst with on PC. Hunting Horn and later game SnS is really fun.
@@BoomstickGaming Hey what was that SnS weapon you were using that was just a katana and no shield? Was it a layered weapon or something? cause it looked awesome, and might make me consider SnS as a weapon to play
@@Ecruben636 that's the Ninja Sword. You get it from a quest called Kagero's Trial in High Rank.
@@ratz30 cheers
So can someone explain why it wouldn't let me pick certain plants? I had room in my pouch and did not have any of the plants I was trying to pick. I put hundreds of hours into world so I know I should have been able to pick them up unless something has changed in this game
Hey was looking for some gameplay of Monster Hunter World and Rise and bumped in your video...idk which to play I'm torn lol.
They're both fantastic. I'd think it depends on whether you want a mostly cohesive and engaging story (World) or just want to hunt for the sake of hunting and enjoy the tight gameplay loop (Rise).
My problem with the game is the same as my favorite thing about it. Being able to just jump in blind, get smacked around by monsters while I listen to the “tutorials” thinking that’s all there is to it…just to watch a simple video and find out about 18 more BASIC things I’ve never even heard of yet.
Long sword all day every day.
Watching this has convinced me to just replay MHW
What weapon is that small sword? ( I don't see a shield or second blade)
why do you get 5 def from your perma buffers? i get only 2, is this locked behind MR or some sidequests?
hold up, you can throw barrel bombs in the air?! how cool is that!?
I use to play this every chance I got. I think after the last ice dlc I got the ice dragon armor maxed out and stopped playing the game. Now with the daybreak dlc idk what button does what. I m having to re learn everything
Is the akuma event still on?
