Mine lasted about 8 yrs till fading.
The beauty of it is, if there is no damage just faded, you can just recoat right over it. I just finished about an hour ago and it brought it back to life.
After 2 years, mine in the front is the only one with damage also. Thank you for video!
Thanks, I just did this myself pre-ppf and was wondering about when it's time to re-do it. So now I know, it can be done safely!
idk if the bit about newspaper was sarcasm but way to make me feel old as shit lol
Not to mention those newspaper gave pre-teens a job delivering them so they could make a few bucks!! 😂
Car looks great!
Car looks great!!!
Thanks for the tips...
👍👍👍
I see a clear protective cover on your Mazda... that most likely made the PD peel off easier.
Love the newspaper humor👍. Curious, do you think there is a time (years) where it should be removed and done over? Will it always be peelable or will it become somewhat permanent at some point? Great vid!
I can't say for sure but I've never heard of plasti-dip ever getting to a point where it won't come off under normal conditions.
@@Killobyte I appreciate the input! I was under the impression that over time in heat like Florida that it can bake on and become next to impossible to remove if left on long enough. I don't have enough experience to argue this case and am trying to find more about the longevity. Thank you!
So I’d say for a can job that it’s held up for a removable spray. Considering it’s a peelable paint.
Agreed, 3 years right on the front is pretty good.
If done right it can last many years... My rims lasted 6 years with 8 coats.
How much time need to dry for each coat ?
My can of "Plasti Dip" says minimum of 30 minutes between coats while my can of Dupli-Color "CustomWrap" says 5 minutes. I just wait for the coat to "look" dry-ish before adding another. The nice thing about both is that you can add coats even when they have been on for long time.
Interweb.. haha
YES DO THAT . BUT WHEN U GET TIRED OF DOING IT DO THE REAL THING 😅😅😅😅
