The Marquesas is our first South Pacific destination and our first chain of islands here in French Polynesia. And to be totally honest, we’re so humbled to be here…but not sure how to absorb it all.
We’re sailing from the smallest inhabited island in the Marquesas, Tahuata, to the largest, Nuku Hiva. We’re also sailing the most remote island chain in the world.
The Marquesas archipelago is wild, dramatic, chalk full of culture, history and natural beauty…especially in Taiohae, the capital of Nuku Hiva. But rather than trying to tell you about it, click the play button and join us for a few days.
🌟 Found an internet cafe near our anchorage (in Moorea), so we were able to upload at full 1080p and at a higher bitrate! If you notice a bump in viewing quality let us know in the comments! It cost about $10 to upload and only took 80 minutes for the 1.5 GB file. If anyone can tell a difference we'll try to upload here again! Decently fast internet brings me 😂 (tears of joy).

You don’t realise how beautiful the worlds his. Keep traveling I enjoy watching.
WOW..from the mix of tight and wide shots during the breakfast montage, to the very cool internal package on how intimidated you guys are there, to the awesome mix of music, to the great audio, and perfect audio levels, to the
excellent use of drone shots, voice over, and natural sound narration..and no run on sentences! Simply fantastic as
usual. To the trained eye you are two are the producers, editors, and story tellers in the youtube-asphere by far!
I know how GOOD you are, I hope you do...too. All youtubers should be tested on what makes your stories so good.
Another wonderful #Wynnday adventure...French Polynesia seems like a whole new world! And after the dingy dock moment, we've indeed seen a bit more of it! Handled with grace and a bit of cheekiness, Nikki, you accomplished the important part...staying dry! I really can't imagine how much more beautiful scenery there is to see! Stay Safe & thanks for sharing your adventures!!!
Thank you for taking us on your hike! It was beautiful. I’m impressed you brought the coffee all the way up there. Always making it a classy experience!❤️
I love when you add in the instrument panel with the wind and direction and....stuff.
Happy travels!
My Sunday is complete....watching cool stuff with the Wynns...and the Red Sox winning the World Series.. Yeah, transplanted Boston fan now outside Dallas. Jason and the goats....is that a new band? haha
I kept waiting for you to find the islands famous snake on your climb. Always enjoy your videos.
I would have enjoyed that just as much from a drone and would not have gotten as tired but then I'm 86 year's young , as long as you are having fun that is the main thing , love you both 😇
Great video, scary moving in the dark but I guess you two are seasoned salty dogs now. How many can say they have crossed an ocean, sailed the seas... amazing. Thank you for such great footage and editing.
I enjoyed your viewpoint about how you're taking in the local culture and feeling a bit overwhelmed. It's interesting because most of the time we think of a tropical paradise as a place to kick back Mai Tais on the beach while you guys are showing a sensitivity to the new places you come across.
You got me in trouble...
I'm 57 and told the wife its time to sell the ranch and buy a sailboat...lol
Did you sell your ranch yet and buy your dream sailboat so that the wife n you can sail away around the globe until your hearts content ? What type of Ranch do you own & what start are you in ? I'm o the west coast of Florida .
I have followed you for years way back to the 1st class A. You are both so awesome I love you spirit of adventure you both have. I will tell you that you have changed my life and helped fire a adventurous part of me I didn't know existed. I love Sunday fun day. Be safe and Thank you for taking us along.
Why doesn’t this channel have over 1M subscribers is beyond me. Another great at video, Thanks guys
Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Such good will, generosity of spirit, gratefulness and intelligence.
Yes, thank you.
I so needed to see your happy faces this morning...your adventures always life my spirits..the beautiful scenery and positive energy from both of you is very refreshing in this tribal climate we find ourselves living in these days...especially love when your videos show grocery shopping and cooking
you are living the dream that I am dreaming to live,
Well said
Great shot of the moon rising
You guys are the bomb! That's fantastic viewing and is a serious risk to our sedentary lifestyle... if we are not careful we might get inspired by you two into selling up and sailing off. Thanks for the joy. Steady winds and following seas to you.
Great video as always truly enjoy your adventures thanks so much for sharing
Loved your narrative Nikki. Great video.
Gorgeous moon!
Beautiful sunrise
Wow. Your videos just make me happy! I'm still at the RV stage (and probaby always will be), but every Sunday you make me antsy to get back out on the road. Thank you.
I'm loving that sailing instrument overlay..
You guys still produce the best videos & content on the channels related to sailing/travel. You are an amazing couple.
That little kiss at the end of your intro says it all 😊
If I'd eaten a baguette with jelly in it like you did, it would have dripped on my shirt LOL!
It wouldn't be Sunday without you. Thanks for the hike, the best view is from the top.
“Find myself a new skipper”. 😀
An odd phrase seems to me.
City girls find out early, how to open doors with just a smile
It’s official, I’ve subscribed. Thanks for letting me share in your travels. I really like the video work: drone footage, underwater clips, zero-dark commentary. It’s awesome. I like it that you’re respectful of the journey: the animal life (for the most part), the French Polynesian culture, and your sincerity in the travel. It really is enjoyable watching, and you’ve opened up a whole side of the planet I didn’t know much about. Be safe and fair winds.
Welcome aboard!
Nothing in the world like a sunrise and/or sunset at sea! I miss that part of my Navy days! Safe sailing!
Your videos seriously do make my week. Thanks for documenting and can’t wait to see more
Me too it makes my day
William Roach-Barrette it’s like that for me to.
so....................relaxing...............beautiful.............i wait for these videos................thank you
Thanks for watching? You are overwhelmingly polite Jason! Thank both of you for the wonderful, one of a kind quality and beautifully photographed vistas, which equals or betters similar National Geographic programs. As for the High Commissioner? I hope he get the wind, what a public figure and YT celebrity you both become. For example, this latest video posted today, and there are already more than 23 thousand viewers watched it by mid-afternoon EST. In other word, you are a serious asset for popularizing the place you visit. He better appreciate that.
Love the overlays, maybe you could leave them up a little bit longer. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Hope your still out there in a few years so we can run into you.
We're moving slow...so I hope we see you out here too!
LOL at Cleo's 4-point stance at 3:05
Thanks for that beautiful hike. I don't think I could climb like a goat. Have fun and as always great video.
Excellent....which does not do you videos justice!! Always a very pleasant escape for me for some place so majestically beautiful! Thanks for sharing
Another beautiful hike. I am so glad that you take us with you on this journey. The night sail looked pretty calm. The drone footage was incredible. The island looks like paradise. Thanks for sharing
Just awesome overall.
Wow, Ever since you said you were going to French Polynesia I’ve been hoping for this video . I wanted you to find the remotest place on the remotest island of your journey so far. And it looks like you’ve done it. Awesome, Loved it guys,
And once again I’m living vicariously through your adventures.
Keep em coming...
Bob, time to quit living vicariously. There's an Eagle's song called Already Gone and one great line: So often it times it happens that we live our lives in chains and don't even know we have the key;-)
Love the Blue pokadot dress!
"Don't love your dingy too much"... this is great! Some great life advice there!
Wow how super interesting the large island of Marquesses ❤️🧡💚💙💜🤍❤️🧡💚💙💜💛💛💛🏝️🏝️
Oh man. I was sure she was going in the water.... nice save
SkyroofNova72 that’s what I thought to.
Im sure you guys know this but, Leave the dingy rope once around the cleat while you drop into the dingy. That way he can keep tension on the dock, then pull the rope from around or through the cleat or post once you're safely on board.
My heart still pounding from climbing the goat trail. Thank you for allowing me to tag along.
“The fun part is getting down”
Yes it is. Thanks for sharing the trip up,,, and not the trip down. I love the idea of not backtracking.
Editing was great! The time flew by, I was so captivated!!! Thank you 💞
as always, thank you for sharing your adventure
That moon Is beauticul, I remember driving from Inuvik nwt and tuktoyaktuk nwt in the winter on an ice road in the eighties on a cold clear night and the full moon would come out and we could turn off the headlights and drive by moon light and it would be magical. Great times in my twenties working all over the Canadian arctic and Alaska.
You know, as I watch these types of videos, I am awestruck and saddened. These places are so magnificent. Yet, I realize that in my lifetime many of these towns will disappear due to the oceans rising and the world changing. I must remind myself to appreciate what I have and live in the now knowing I will not have a chance to see them in person. It's one of the things I love about UA-cam. A record of our world and our lives for eternity. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all in UA-cam land. Oh, and Happy Halloween from Boston. 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Gorgeous islands and wonderful video ty guys ... btw how do your cats handle being at sea??
Don't know if it is your camera or its settings....but my screen comes alive when viewing your channel. The views in this episode are so beautiful, I can't help feeling that I'm missing so much by not being there....thank you both!!
Great views, and sites! Thanks again for taking us along with you.
Love those graphics that show wind, SOG, etc. So cool!
three minutes into the video before I received the UA-cam notification email. This has become the thing I wait for on Sunday mornings.
Part of how I rate your videos is by the length of time I feel it's taken to watch them. As it happens the time always seems to fly by since every place you go is interesting, mysterious, colorful, uncluttered by mess, and fascinating. I started watching this one and before I knew it you were signing off. I look forward to each and every one. Please give Cleo and Singa an ear rub from me. Merci. Bon Soir!
I have to say of all the places you have traveled , I am most envious of your stay in these islands in French Polynesia!!! Absolutely beautiful and so fascinating....wish I was part of your crew on his one❣️ Wishing you happy travels ....
Beautiful job on this one Jason❣️
Wow! Fantastic video. Love seeing the exotic produce.
Sailing at night just offshore in unfamiliar water is very dangerous. You may get away with it 100x, and that 101st you'll wind up on a reef that the locals will tell you "everyone knows about" but isn't marked properly on any maps. I've seen it happen.
Fantastic video. Thanks.
What a wonderful place! Thank you for showing us!
Hey Nikki and Jason. When you visit Tahiti remember to be careful about letting your crew get too familiar
with the locals. Don't forget what happened to captain Bligh.
On the way home have you considered following The Bounty's course and visiting Pitcairn's Island?
That is where Mr. Christian ended up settling with his mutinous crew. It did NOT end well for most of the men
in the end.
Nikki I am glad you made it into Minion OK. If you had fallen overboard with all that coinage in your pocket you
would have sank to the bottom.
Tahiti's on my bucket list .......can I send you my bucket !
@@LAPGOCHINSTRUCTOR Tahiti isn't that great anymore, getting way too homogenized. And Moorea and Bora Bora are not too far behind. Wish I was there back in the turn of the century.
A little mountain goating builds spirit. Great vlog.
Great view of the anchorage while enjoying a beverage on top of their world. Great episode 👍🇺🇸😎🥇...
breathtaking to say the least !!! I love you two !
Nature is so beautiful
Such a beautiful life. Love your videos :)
That looked like a great hike the view at the top was gorgeous. Enjoy!
Great shots of moon rise and sun rise. I enjoy your videos, which are well done.
Tye a couple foot loops in your dingy dock line to make an easier way down to the dingy when there is no ladder. Don’t skin up those legs!
Nice effort on that hike...!!
You guys make this look so easy... I'm sure its not easy at all.. I really enjoy all your video's.. Thank u so much for sharing them♥
The scenery is just exquisite! Thank you for sharing!
Just wanted to tell you both how much I enjoy your vlog! I love it!
@Nikki Definitely the most fashionable stylish outfit I've ever seen for a dinghy ride 😃 Only the high heels are missing 😃
Terrific! Spent some time as well on your website. Appreciated the gear review on the products that have made your “cut.” Texas Jack
My favorite thing about Sunday mornings! I think anyone would be hard-pressed to find any video on UA-cam or other similar platform with a higher production value than those of the Wynns. Just LOVELY AND THOROUGHLY ENTERTAINING!
It's been said before, but bears repeating...
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Glad it’s you doing the climbing on goat trails and me sitting on my comfortable sofa enjoying the beautiful view. I don’t think my sore foot could do that. Now all we need is the breeze and the smells and I would have the full experience. Wouldn’t that be great?
I think ive watched just about all of your videos over this pasted week. Very nice 👌🏻
Loved the spectacular views Thanks so much
Thanks for another generous and magnificent view into your world. You’re doing life right kids.
How do you begin to "capture" it? I think you did a pretty good job of it.
Another great adventure and Jason, keep your hands off your dingy in public....lol
Living my dream! Some day I'll be a sailor like you two!
Woww,unbelievable content, thnx for sharing👌👌👌👌
Love your post! FYI: Love your bread recipe from a few post ago. The two teenagers in the house gave it a thumbs up! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing your incredible footage.
This is going down as one of my favorite videos. ♥️ crazy cool.
that guy on the horse was the best thing ever, the way he smiled was great :)
Seriously, been dreaming of this place since 8 years old. Now 52 and working on joining the ranks of circumnavigating sailors. Until then, please keep sailing… I will keep following your adventures. Marc from Montreal. Love you guys.
Thanks guys few videos behind so a wynns binge 😊
Can't wait for more you two!!
Nikki - you should put together a recipe/cookbook! Everything looks delicious...maybe add all the cocktail concoctions as well? (;
Wow guys... Your adventures give me the chills! Thanks for continuing your amazing adventure and sharing it with us!
Very nice update! Thanks for shariing.
Beautiful place guys it’s amazing the exploring you guys get to do very blessed couple you are , nice “little” hike huh ?lol but got the shot very nice view from on top ! Wow The adventures are endless with you guys 👍
That moon, was, as you said 'So cool!' Great shots as always, thanks for that...I appreciate and respect how organised and tidy you both are, you keep a very tight ship/sailboat, I think I watched one the other day where you utilised the morning dew on deck to clean it down :) I am now going through them all again as I forgot to like each of the ones I've watched, so please bare with, if I continually leave a comment here and there, it's the least I can do after all the effort you have put in to creating these informative and visually stunning mini masterpieces....
We love comments! Keep 'em coming.
Fantastic production as usual. Stay safe.
