It's nice to see a sit down and sharing of information. Letting those of us who watch get to know you all a bit better is a gift. Privacy is so important and it is kind of you to open up as much as you do. Don't worry Jason, it wasn't too long (in my opinion) and you guys kept it going at a good enough pace I never had the desire to skip forward (not that I ever have with one of your videos).

I am a fellow Texan (#Friendswood) and have been building my own company for the past five years in an effort to untie myself from having to work in an office and live a sedentary life. As my kids are growing up and making their way into high school I am fast approaching a point in my life where I will be ready to go out and make memories like yours. Until then I want to say THANKS! you two for sharing your adventures and your dreams. It is truly beautiful how you capture both the good times and the bad times on your adventures. I firmly believe that life cannot be beautiful without the ugly along side of it. We can't appreciate joy without sorrow. One means so much less without the other. I just love your joys and your sorrows. Together they weave a tapestry of adventure, fear, love, sadness, hope and hopelessness. So many of your episodes have left me in tears and so many have erupted in laughter for hours. What you are doing is very special and I really appreciate every moment you share of it. I am not a sailor or boat person, but I love your videos one thing I love about them how upbeat and happy, at least on camera, you two are. Even in bad weather you guys keep a positive attitude.
Also I like that you both share the work load. Most people, excluding myself, can only dream about being that brace and living out our dreams.
I ride a motorcycle, I would love to take a year or even 6 months off and ride around the country. I have a million excuses why I can’t.
I did that as soon as me and my best friend graduated High School, had a big fight with my boss and thought I'd lost my job but in the end he understood I'd probably never have that chance again until I retired so we made up, I got my job/career back and I wouldn't trade those moments for anything now. I too love how upbeat they are, makes me happy to see this on youtube not drama or politics, it's a nice escape watching their videos.

Found you guys with your first video of the boat shopping... well I gotta say... I did not give you guys a chance in hell of making it.. BUT... you proved that intelligence (and you two are surprisingly smart folk) and a willingness to learn can make it.... I have a lifetime of travel and fixing stuff and this is one endeavor I have not taken on yet.. I can not imagine someone with no mechanical experience even starting to try this.. but again.. ya proved me wrong... Congrats and hope to see you some time in the future.. Will be the guy asking for chili... :P

I love the dynamics of Nikki and Jason. When his Mum answers about meeting Nikki and she says about them being meant for each other, it's really true. A lot of people have beat up on Jason for not being "manly" enough. But to me he is a true 21 century man. Someone who is comfortable enough and strong enough that he respects Nikki and knows that in some situations she is better at being the leader. That is a true loving relationship.
I agree with Jason's mom . I think Jason & Nikki compliment each other . They are both strong & very hard workers . I would like to meet all three of them some day real soon .
There is nothing unmanly in supporting another person. It take a man who is sure of himself to let others have a bit of sunlight too. I concider Jason manly. If I were married to Nikki I would want to do things to support her and make her happy; just like Jason seems to do. She definately gives back.
The dude is literally sailing around the world. How more manly does a person have to be?! does he have to disrespect his wife and be rude to people to be considered manly? I've never known a real man who did that.
The men who would say Jason is not manly are likely insecure in their own manhood.

Thank you SO MUCH for answering my question! It was a perfect answer (made me, Carlie, tear up) you only live once, don't let anything hold you back! It is so true and something I know but helps hearing it from a third-party, family situation! And family will come if it is important to them and we will soak up time with those who can't travel, while we have it, before we set out! My husband (Brady) and I sell everything and set out March/April 2020 to hike the Appalachian Trail and then the world is our playground from there! We were already addicted to travel and adventure but thank you for showing us that it is possible and giving us additional courage to dive in - life is too short! - HappyGoLondons (Brady & Carlie)

I loved the Q&A and the advice for couples to go experience life, such great advice I only wish I had been given that advice when my wife and I were starting out. I spent my life pursuing money thinking my wife and I would have time when we retired to see the world. I'll be sixty this year and I lost my wife to Cancer in March of 2018 and we had only been to Europe a couple of times. Listen to her, life is too short to wait to do the things you want to do tomorrow, do them today believe me, do them today.
