I discovered your channel a few days ago.. Truly stunning content. I really love your surreal landscapes videos. Thank you for sharing your awesome work.
A drone is no more cheating than auto-focus on your EOS R5. Drones are flying cameras. You and I use it for that reason. It's a great new technology for artists such as us.
Those blue/yellow drone shots came out pretty nice.. regarding your comment about using a drone or „cheating“. I’ve felt somehow the same way but the views are just so good that it is well worth having a bird’s perspective. Being in Iceland in a very remote place where you don‘t disturb the wildlife or people, I got a comment from another photographer passing by just before starting my flight, and she said something like „there always has to be a drone, isn’t it?” It was not a nice feeling at all to hear that but there are rules and as long you stick to them, one should not worry about those kind of comments. Anyway.. as always.. another well done vlog man..!
That was an great area for a little bit of everything.. i have the DJI mini 2 and think that DJI set the standard for drones. i love the stability and the image quality. thanks for sharing i cant wait to watch you other video tomorrow morning with coffee! Do you remember the Cost of the cabins nightly?
I was just there this summer. I need to stay in the red cabins next time. This is such a great location for photography, and this year I shot a bunch of video there. Those rivers are my favorite thing to photograph. I shot them from an airplane which is like sticking your head out of a car going down the interstate.
I'm going to iceland this summer and am debating on whether or not to bring my drone. How was it figuring out where you could fly? I had a part 107 license for the US but it's expired, but I have a mavic mini 2 so I'm hoping that makes things a bit easier.
I would absolutely bring it, especially if you're planning on venturing into the highlands and surrounding areas. If you do, know that the wind can get very strong, so keep that in mind when flying.
Don't feel guilty about using a drone! It's a tool, like your camera, car, airplane and everything else that got you to that spot and let you photograph it. I'm going to that resort in a few weeks!
just got back last week. now it is a RESORT. It's so nice.

Hey, Todd. What's your protocol for drone flying abroad? I have been hesitant to bring my drone along up to now. Thanks.

No issue with licensing or flying rules?@@dominey
