"The Lucy House" a 5BR/5BA, Hacienda Spanish Style Home Downtown Palm Springs, CA

The Lucy House is located in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in downtown Palm Springs, known as "The Movie Colony".
Situated behind beautifully wrought iron gates and private 12 ft. high walls made of ficus shrubs. The Lucy House is an entertainers delight and will leave you breathless with the panoramic mountain views and lush landscaping.
OUTSIDE
Enjoy views of the mountains in the distance while taking in some sun on one of eight lounge chaises or take a dip in the home’s original 15'w x 35'l heated pool. Grill up some of your favorite meats on one of two natural gas barbecues followed up with smores over the fire pit located by the back casita. There is a table for 10 under the covered patio and a table for 6 on the pool deck.
INSIDE
The main house has an expansive living room with open beamed ceiling and large gas burning fireplace. You are able to kick up your feet and relax on the three couches and watch cable TV on the 55" HDTV or open up one of the two sets of French doors that lead out onto the pool deck and covered patio. For those who need to finish up some last-minute work while on vacation (we do not recommend this, especially at this house), there is a desk with a window allowing the natural sunlight in, that is located between the living and dining rooms.
When it comes to gathering everyone up for a sit-down meal, everyone can come together around the large custom wood dining table that seats all 10 guest. The dining room is located off of the kitchen and enjoys the same open beamed ceiling and large fireplace as the living room.
The chef style kitchen is equipped with all stainless steel appliances including a Wolf gas range and oven, French door style Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, two dishwashers, trash compactor, ice maker and microwave. If a cup of coffee is needed to start your day out, there is a single-serving Keurig and a 12 cup coffee maker. All of the countertops are custom granite including the large 6' x 5' island in the middle of the kitchen. If you would like to enjoy the outside while preparing meals or cocktails, there are three sets of French doors that open up to the covered back patio. We do not suggest this during the summer months or when you are utilizing the air conditioner.
BEDROOMS
All of the suites have private outside doors and are located off of the back covered patio and/or pool deck.
Master Suite - Includes a King size bed with a sitting area with two chairs and a love seat placed in front of the gas burning fireplace. You are also able to enjoy the 55" cable and AppleTV HDTV. The ensuite master bathroom has a non-glassed window with privacy shutters that is off of the sitting area. There is a large custom tiled walk-in shower with a rain style showerhead and bench, a stand-alone cast iron bathtub, two sinks with stone countertop and an open restroom. The master bathroom also has a set of French doors that open up to a small private patio (the patio is not a usable patio, it is just to allow natural light and fresh air in).
Suites #2 and #3 are located in one of two Jack-n-Jill style Casitas. Both of the suites include a double size bed, ceiling fan, an oversized leather chair, a 32" HDTV with cable and a set of French doors. Bathroom #2 is in the middle of the suites and feature a shower/bathtub combo, a single vanity sink, and an open restroom.
Suites #4 and #5 are in the second Jack-n-Jill style casita. There are a large double glass sliding doors that open onto the covered patio of the detached casita. You will find queen size beds, ceiling fans and reach in closets also a living area with a 55" HDTV with cable and a table for 4 people.
This is a unique opportunity to stay and entertain in one of Palm Springs most famous homes.
