Beautiful home. You did a beautiful job of restoring it. There is nothing like the older homes. I left my 1949 cottage home in Pomona after restoring it and moved out of state to a brand new home. It just doesn't have the charm of my old home. I painted the walls in my house Alabaster white by Sherwin Williams too. It was lovely.
Omg this is my actual dream home- you did an incredible job with the renovations. That bathroom with the arched shower, the tile, the floors, the little window by the shower- even the little wall between the soaking tub and toilet. That niche above the tub. Wow- it’s stunning!! It really does look like a private oasis even though it’s in the middle of a neighborhood. That yard is amazing, those oak trees are my dream home landscape. Everything is perfection.
What you have done with this home is just spectacular! Kudos to you and your husband. I have lived in the Los Angeles area most of my life, with a few years in San Diego and a few years in Riverside. I used to salivate over the homes up near Colony Heights and Mount Rubidoux. Thank you so much for doing restoration and not just renovation! Your care and concern for the Integrity of the home is evident. ❤
I remember La Paloma Design. I used to work on Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood and worked with many of these design houses. Sad to hear they went out of business. 😢
Thank you for taking such meticulous pride in your renovations. I owned 3275 Brockton ave years ago and I really miss its charm - it was built in 1932 and my home bound neighbor and her husband had actually built both of the Spanish revival style homes
It's a beautiful house! I rented at 3375 Brockton in 2020, and been a few blocks away on Locust for the past 4 years. We walk the dogs by your old house all time time.
This style home has always been my dream wish, but I’ve never been lucky enough to live in one. You’ve done a wonderful job restoring it and keeping it true to the era while doing necessary updates. I don’t think I’d ever be able to leave it!
I used to live down the street from you at the point on Beacon Way, also was a HFH Restore volunteer. I’m so thrilled to see that you are keeping the beauty of Riverside alive. I love what you’ve done with the home, great update but maintained the historic beauty of one of R.’s treasures. Thanks for some lovely memories of such a lovely neighborhood.
I'm in love with the bathroom you created too! Just gorgeous. Love the different shades of green, the same green of the trimwork. Classy, creative, restrained, happy design!
I LOVE YOU ❤️ YOU SUPPORTED AND RESPECTED THE ANTIQUITY OF LOS ANGELES REGIONAL ARCHITECTURAL UNIQUENESS! WOW AWESOME JOB BRAVO BRAVO if the pictures were in black-and-white it would look like they were from the 1920s you did such an awesome job. Congratulations I wish they were more people like you that cared about our cultural historical architecture. ❤
That is a gorgeous home a real Casa. Congratulations on the remodeling and restoration, very tasteful. It’s a beautiful area, never thought Riverside was that nice.
Love this type of home! so charming. Your husband really should be congratulated as restoring windows is a tedious process. The end result is so rewarding however. Great job! The outside is gorgeous. Good job adding a bath. good luck with the sale.
Wow!!!!! What a stunning home. Love your simple styling. That bathroom with the arched shower is amazing. The grounds would sell me at first sight. What an amazing place to entertain or just relax. I just would have had some sort of Spanish style dresser under the wall mounted TV in the primary bedroom. I am sure this house is sold and gone by now. My son lives in Temecula . Love So Cal .
One thing you neglected to show was closet space in the bedrooms. Typically in homes of this era it seems that closets were an afterthought and you just didn’t get much storage space. The bedrooms are definitely big enough for armoires but you can’t beat a great walk-in
SO glad you kept those beautiful windows and the other "vintage" features. Also great to see that you didn't rip out all the walls and make another cookie cutter open concept void! There is nothing quite like sitting on the living room sofa and seeing kitchen appliances. Open concept was okay in most of the 20th Century when the dining room and living room were partially or completely joined, but once they took the kitchen walls down, they lost me!
Crystal, this is a delighful rehab...but when I click on the description and "about" I can't see a link to your business or contact info. If it is here, it is hard to find, and frankly people just won't work that hard to find you in a world of "one click purchase" options. That would be a wise touch if you are doing this to promote sales. Just a tip. Otherwise, nicely done. Best of luck on the sale of this beauty.
Too bad that it is in Riverside. With regards to the cooktop in the kitchen; I am seeing more and more homes that have been "renovated" and some new builds that lack ventilation for the cooktop, especially one that uses gas. No hood and I presume that it is not a pop up down draft thing. In doing major work, were seismic risks mitigated?
The price will be half or less than LA. It’s hot out there for sure. I live half way from LA. Far less social disorder. I like the 1 hour drive to events in LA. And then getting the hell out of there before the zombies come out. I love the Jazz clubs.
@@jamesdellaneve9005 Mid 1980's - early 1990's I lived in Highland, near San Bernardino - military assignment at Norton AFB. Awful area then worse now as the Inland Empire is nothing but warehouses, slums and trucks. Yes, once upon a time up until WW2, the area was beautiful. Now, when I think of Riverside, I think of Riverside County and more specifically, Palm Springs. These days I live precisely 300 miles away in another state. Coming down the 15, hitting Barstow, it just gets uglier and uglier until Palm Springs or Coronado.
@@kennixox262 I don’t know Riverside very well. I’ve only been there twice. Obviously, the “nice” areas. I live in Upland, which is very nice. I like to go to Palm Springs for lunch and the Tramway, which is great. I think that you meant Corona. It’s still horse country but is built up. Highland is still horse property and such. San Bernardino City is really run down. BTW, We approved a study to secede from the state in the last election.
Great original home. Plaster, paint color and lighting choices were thoughtful. Grounds were beautiful. I really did not like the tile choice in the main bathroom, nor the wallpaper in the guest space. And the kitchen needs a complete overhaul, from layout to finishes.
agree re kitchen but that would be an incredible budget item; the stovetop placement very awkward and lack of counter top next to cook top practically non existent .... love the light fixtures , windows !
I love all but kitchen not a fan of the layout or the stove caddy cornered looks like not only a waste of space but also looks silly i love the cottage look
It’s too bad that terrible 90’s kitchen wasn’t renovated as well. The $99 commodes also take away from the reno especially when time and money is spent on other fixtures like the lighting. The home is lovely otherwise, hopefully whomever purchases it has a lot of money aside for the kitchen renovation.
The plaster work on the wall and ceiling is far from state of art craft, quite far from good actually. Still beautiful home but I wouldn’t say state of art plastering job

Stunning, old California Spanish, updated to perfection!!
I have ALWAYS wanted a Spanish house like that. I just love them.

Lovely. A total package and meticulously restored.

You made a lot of nice investments with finishes. Love the old/new. A stainless steel fridge would go a long way. I love the home. Great work.

Great job! Your renovations are really beautiful!
Very beautiful home, well done and I do appreciate you providing your resources.
Stunningly Renovated and Respected Home. Amazing!
You are so blessed with this property!! This has always been my dream style even though I live in MN
This is one of the most appealing properties I've ever seen. Nice job!
Great restoration of the house but the mature oak trees and the surrounding outdoor spaces makes it complete.
Very well done! Love the green!
Gorgeous house. So nicely done. And updated heating cooling!
Great work restoration!. The layout of the outdoor, oak trees are amazing!.
That is a gorgeous home a real Casa. Congratulations on the remodeling and restoration, very tasteful. It’s a beautiful area, never thought Riverside was that nice.
It’s stunning- I would put something infront of the air conditioner box outside to hide it better.
Fantastic! Nice work describing the process behind the property. Love that this video is not narrated by an architect!
that rockwork is amazingggg love itt
Been looking for a Spanish Villa single story! Love it.

Superb work!
I agree! Hope everything goes well and it goes to the right person for the house.😊

I love this house!
Dream house! Love everything about it. Thoughtful renovation and opportunity for airbnb or longer rental.

This is a Spanish-style home renovation done right.
Not sure which I like better; the house or the grounds!
Groundbreaking
I'd always be worried those boulders would come crashing down
Was wondering what they did to that house
Love everything except the kitchen island, something Spanish ,wooden and chunky would be gorgeous
Beautiful, cost?

It’s nice to film it at night.

the house was lovely but I couldn't take the number of "ands" in the tour
Was this the house in lady dynamite
The home architecturally is amazing but the furniture and some of the details make me think of Midwest tacky.

Stoped watching at Restoration Hardware mention. It's a modest home. Not sure I would feature it as an inspiration or STUNNING home.

RESTORATION HARDWARE MAKES A FOOTREST FOR THE SHOWER WALL FOR WOMEN TO SHAVE THEIR LEGS. THEY ARE MADE OUT OF PORCELAIN.
THE FURNITURE IN THIS HOME IS NOT RIGHT! VERY BORING THROUGHOUT
There's not much that looks spanish/mexican anymore.

According to both the Cambridge and Oxford Dictionaries, both pronunciations are correct.
