The 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy featured Blue Swede's cover of "Hooked on a Feeling" in its soundtrack, putting this old classic back in the spotlight. It's actually a 1968 pop song written by Mark James and originally performed by B. J. Thomas. In 1974, the Swedish pop group Blue Swede did a cover, which included their own version of King's "hooga chaka" introduction. Their version reached number one in the United States.

Barbershop version. It's a specific style - in this case it's close enough thematically to the original (unlike the Bioshock Infinite remixes) that it might be confused for the original.

@@alecfoster4375 This is barbershop style. The voice is meant to be thicker and deeper down because it produces much bigger overtones required for the signature barbershop chord blend. If you sing it the usual 'brighter' pop way, it will not sound like barbershop.
Granted, I prefer a more pop/rock sounding approach for this song, but since it is meant to sound like this, I do not mind this video lol.
