The Guardians movies a great example of making licensed music work. The movies simply wouldn't feel complete without the songs

Not really, when I watched this scene from the first time I felt a cringe of thinking of all those experiments they did on that poor raccoon to make him the way he is so even before gog 3 featuring The High Evolutionary, it was clear to me from this scene that whatever they had done to Rocket was pretty awful.

@@manuelcorrea2365 and it's still slightly different from the comics. They show it in the game, those marks are from what was essentially a mind control device used to make rocket an unwilling assassin.
You pick what's worse, tortured and experimented on, or used against your will to be a murderer. Now that I think of it, his comic backstory was probably just too close to winter soldiers.

My ranking of superhero trilogies
1. Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy
2. Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy
3. Nolan's The dark knight trilogy
shows what type of character groot is compared to the rest of them. The others all are constantly bickering and trying to kill and betray each other while groot is the only one that’s nice and thinks about others and sacrifices himself for them all at the end.

Marvel puts some good songs in their movies. A lot of my favorites like this one, Mr. Blue Sky, The Chain, Come and Get Your Love, etc.

He never knew what he was before the experiments, just a genetically modified test-subject that was prototype meant to be discarded after they extracted all the data they wanted from him. Feeling like a freak, he thought "raccoon" was just another word to describe him as a freak
He never tried to cuz he never knew that he was a raccoon, he gets mad when ppl call him that because he thinks it's some kind of an insult

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that this scene, along with the intro, are what sold the movie. And with it, opened up the entire MCU that led to Endgame. No one knew if the general audience would enjoy watching a movie about lesser known Marvel characters. But now they did.

Growing up, I never had any interest in any superhero movies, except Spider-Man (the one with Andrew and Drew Barrymore) but, I have never liked a Marvel franchise more than Guardians of the Galaxy, my favorite one is Rocket, because of him, I was interested enough to go back/see all three movies, when the first one came out, my stepdad, who loves superheroes, was watching it in the living room one day, but, I wasn’t paying attention, only seeing bits and pieces of it, years later, he took me to see the third movie, I went because I had seen the trailers and saw Rocket and recognized him from back when the first one had come out (which is why I went to see it) ever since, I’ve been a fan, something about it, to me, just stands out from all the other superhero movies, which is also why I love it.
Drew Barrymore wasn’t in any of the Spider-Man movies.

Why is the CGI on Rocket and Groot better in GOTG 1 in 2014 than it is now… in 2023. I mean it’s minor but I have a good eye. It seems like CGI quality has decreased as the MCU has progressed. Less detailed. Anyone else see the same?
back then there were like 1 or 2 movies a year and they had time for the CGI. Now they have to produce 4 movies at least and 4 series in 1 year.
