      One thing all build videos miss, get an LED headlamp to focus light into your case hands free so you can see all the various connectors.
      Also get a new surge suppressor, those things do wear out. I replace mine about once every 5 years it's a $20 insurance policy for your $1000 PC.

      building my sister her first pc build it is very tuff right now because she wants to play games and she does graphic design but only has 1k CAD budget. i was able to get some sweet deals with the new 5600 and a 1660super from a friend. However To make it worst she wanted the nr200p from cooler master case so an itx motherboard and sfx power supply were more expensive than needed XD.

      @javedrahaman Рік тому

      @@joelsanchez7742 generally I'd say start what what you want the PC to achieve, that way you'd be able too tailor your parts to suit (productivity or gaming). Make sure everything is compatible - a good check for this is a site called PCpartpicker. Don't cheap out on the GPU if you're focusing on gaming. A 6-8 core CPU is the sweet spot right now. RAM and SSDs can always be upgraded in the future. When you do get all your parts. Plan at least 2-4 hrs to get it done so you can take your time and enjoy the process as well and spend some time with cable management. Jason, Linus, PCCentric and Jayztwocents have nice build videos you can follow.

    10:45 hertz means times per second
    so for instance 3000 mhz means
    3000000 times ( of transfers )
    per second.
    Transfers also suit the category of times,
    making the usage of hz suitable, therefore “speed in mgz” is not a mistake

    • @paulszki
      @paulszki 2 роки тому +14

      "Just because you’re measuring the rate of something doesn’t make it frequency."
      If you measure the speed of a car and it comes out to 6 m/s (meters/second), does the car now have 6 Hz? Because it's, as you like to say, "times per second"? If I open a valve and out pours water at 100ml per second, is that measured in Hz too? What a Hertz is, is clearly defined. It's "one cycle per second".
      What RAM manufacturers are communicating is the TRANSFER rate, which is not measured in MHz, it's just related to it. DDR4 3200 RAM would actually run at 1600Mhz, meaning 1.600.000 cycles per second which with DDR (double data rate) RAM amounts to 3.200.000 transfers per second. (or 3200 MT/s)
      Let's check Wikipedia on Double Data Rate RAM:
      "... Technically, the hertz is a unit of cycles per second, but many people refer to the number of transfers per second. Careful usage generally talks about "500 MHz, double data rate" or "1000 MT/s", but many refer casually to a "1000 MHz bus," even though no signal cycles faster than 500 MHz."
      If consumer grade QDR (Quad Data Rate) RAM existed, a RAM stick that was marketed as "QDR 4000" would actually run at 1000MHz.
      Yeah it's nit-picky but that's what he was talking about. If you want to be technically correct, you gotta be actually technically correct.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_data_rate#Relation_of_bandwidth_and_frequency

You know I ain't no engineer or nothin', but I do know my way around a computer and some of that tech lingo. And you know what, you're right my man. Just because you're measuring the rate of something doesn't make it frequency, and I can see how it can be confusing for some people. But hey, that's why we got the internet and Wikipedia to help us out, right? So we can learn and stay informed about all this tech stuff. And as for those RAM manufacturers, they're just tryna sell their products and make it sound impressive, you know what I'm sayin'? But hey, as long as my computer is runnin' smooth and fast, that's all that matters to me. Keep doin' your thing and stayin' informed, my man.

      I don't think so. Maybe it depends on where you are from, but in Europe and the US I see how I can make a better PC with less money than a prebuilt. prebuilts also use the outdated and underperforming intel gen 10 and 11, rather ryzen 5000 or intel gen 12. At least GPUs are in stock at Amazon and other local sites.

      Gen 4 SSDs certainly have come down in price, so feel free to spend a little extra. But they don't even use Sata SSD speeds currently and Gen 3 SSDs are way faster, so it will likely be several years before we see this on PC (developers don't want to cut their market short by limiting it to only new systems).

    I really appreciate all the details you put in these videos most pc channels get the best of the best and say get this is the fastest and give zero details on why and what they do. I have been a pc enthusiasts for about 4 or 5 years and these details would have been awesome years ago awesome stuff. I will definitely save myself some money from your motherboard derail video if any of you are looking into motherboards go take a look very detailed

    What's ironic is the Musetex Case and B550-E motherboard in the thumbnail are part of my brand new build. Great video though! I went with a 5950x cpu and using my old RTX 2080 with 64gb 3600mhz Corsair RGB Ram. Loving it! First time using an NVME drive and went with a 4.0 and it's astounding.

    Finally, a UA-cam video on how to build my new pc!! It's been 6 yrs since my last build, and things have changed a lot, and its so confusing. Thank you! I will look through your builds on a creative build. I guess the question arises, with the next AMD/Intel chips coming out soon, should I wait a few months, as wouldn't the previous chips go down in price?

    About a year ago, I was clueless about what a GPU was -let alone half of the components mentioned in the video-, but after wondering why our new Ryzen 5 3400G was so slow while playing games, we came to the conclusion that it desperately needed one. I did a whole year of research on my own, looking for the best one according to our budget, needs, PC components, etc., while also waiting for a sale in the midst of the GPU market crisis, lol.
    The point is, we finally got an awesome GPU about 2 weeks ago. Turns out I picked JUST the right card mentioned in the video: an RX 6600 XT for smooth 1080p gaming and streaming, for the equivalent of roughly $350 USD (I live outside the US).
    Thank you so much for the video! I'll keep an eye out for the various things I can still optimize, like the fans and XMP/DOCP!

    i‘ve got one question about upgrading the gpu. i built my pc before corona started when the prices for pc parts were pretty low. at this time the r7 3700x and the x570 motherboards just got released and i bought them for my pc build. i think that they‘re still working pretty decently but i‘d like to upgrade the gpu und ram. are there any concrete compatibility problems/requirements for the gpu and ram to work with my cpu & motherboard. eventually i have to upgrade my psu too if the new gpu comes with a different „cable configuration“ but i hope not.
