    Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

    A lot of misleading and wrong information in this report:
    It shows cannabis food and processed products, this has been legal for quite some time already in Thailand. However only if there's less than 0.2%THC, the 0.2%THC rule still applies for food and processed products.
    The flower can be sold in high THC strains, but only in flower form. Great news still, but the first half of the report focussed on food products. Nothing has changed in that regards.
    Most catastrophically wrong in this report was the notion that recreational use is still illegal. Wrong! Recreational use is absolutely legal. The health minister has verbally recommended to use it for medicine, but legally you can do what you want with weed, and no prescription is required.
    If you're smoking it in busy public areas you could get a small fine for public disturbance, but that's it!
    Weed is legal for recreational use in Thailand.

    As someone who lives and is thai, let me give you a little insight. A lot of people use it for culinary purposes. Even in Laos and Cambodia it is common in curries and has been in centuries. In Thailand it is mostly used in the North and northeast (Isan) and it is believed to help with a lot of things. Bit strange how the law is changing again. For years the police detain all those who even have a tiny amount of cannabis and now promoting it. Even in Laos and Cambodia it is still illegal except you can still find them using cannabis in food in rural areas.

    The loophole for recreational marijuana is intentional by the government. Me*th is a more serious problem for Thailand. Legalized marijuana is one way to deter people from using me*th. @@frankwaldeck2359 I understand it is difficult for some people to accept the developing science around Cannabis. It is all there via Google Scholar. Nothing at all contentious in my remark. The UK Parliamentary Committee on drugs has recently taken evidence on it. Even a spokesman for the UKs most active legalisation lobby group was heard to say "Cannabis is much more harmful than we thought". The figures on birth (teratogenic) defects in legalising States are a horror story. Colorado is said to have 4 times the general US background rate of birth defects. Autism, Atrial Septal Defect, missing or small ears, limb defects. Gastroschisis etc. Then there is the extraordinary increase in testicular cancers linked to cannabis use. Typical onset 32 or 33 years of age, assuming a mid teens regular habit taken up.
      None of this means of course that in some circumstances, Cannabis dervived treatments might not be useful. After all Thalidomide remains in the pharmacopeia despite the huge damage done by it.

      No they should not legalise any recreational drug on the level of cannabis. legal drugs such as Alcohol and smoking cause enough hardship and suffering for many. Legalisation will allow unregulated consumption which could have devestating effects on the whole country, Cannabis is strong and highly addictive. Its effects can be relapsed years after someone has stopped its consumption. The cannabis trade is associated with violence, murder and exploitation but legalising it is not a solution, the public should be protected from it.

    • @zaspalia
      @zaspalia 2 роки тому +1

      @@TheAnnoor “Legalizing it will allow for unregulated consumption” 🤔 Pretty sure the government regulates it’s consumption in places where it is legalized. Canada has had it legal now for 4 years, it hasn’t lead to any increase in consumption that didn’t already exist. If anything it made it more difficult for minors to get it from dealers as the store bought quality and price matched or surpassed that of the black market. You would rather stigmatize and punish individuals over your outdated and disproven beliefs about a plant instead of moving on to the 21st century like the rest of us.
