And so many man hours spent in police, by going around checking under people's nutsacks. They could be directed into solving all the neglected crimes, like burglary and traffic violations. All the state's that borders the state I live in has legalized it and I am hoping for them to do so here.
in 2018, during Songkran I was given a cigarette "joint" and was stopped in Phuket... I did not smoke it. I was arrested- hired a lawyer and was BANNED FOR LIFE over a joint... every Canadian would see this as a an extreme punishment when cannabis was medically legal... it was a torture experience... when I was sent to a torture detention center and then deported to Canada ... upon arrival I smoked a nice joint because it is legal in CANADA for medical use - and assisted me with my emotional and psychological trauma during my Thailand 2018 experience

The UK govt are hypocripts..the MPs snort coke on the regular...yet won't legalise weed...
It laughable isn't it. ..England Scotland and Wales need to catch up with the rest of the world on cannabis legalisation
Being a cannabis patient for years, this video is mostly accurate. It's about time Thailand caught up in policy.

Nice documentary, very pleasant to watch. 👍
Get me a one way plane ticket to that temple and I'll show them how to grow.

Why one way travelling ticket, or you want to stay there forever?
Staying there forever. 😁

So outstanding. Wow had no idea the outstanding fearless fact based coverage you provide this stressed out world! Gratitude from USA Asheville North Carolina.
And I dont understand the difficulty these people experience in growing, you can literally just make an account on an online forum and have experts from around the world guide you throughout the process.

Thank you for this, I just wish that the higher ops in the government of Philippines will pass this bill already, I've been an advocate a long time, but still, government of Philippines can't accept this medicinal plant, a sad truth.
THIS IS SO B E A U T I F U L 😭 JUSTICE FOR CANNABIS WORLDWIDE
"This is bad for you, unless WE are giving it to you- then - it's a great idea"
It’s an opportunity for more government corruption.
@@stephenbouchelle7706 it hurts that its so obvious but people still buy into their propaganda.
Very nice job on this video!
They should have a grower exchange program with growers from Humboldt area to show them how it's done.
humidity bro, im a grower in colorado and powdery mildew starts at 60% humidity.. they have over 90% most of the year in thailand.. they need to go to the mountains. humboldt is a great humidity especially in aug september when there are bigger nugs that get moldy.
Sorry but you California growers think too highly of your expertise, though I believe the area gets credit for starting the seedless sensimilla improvement. I have seen way better bud in Nepal and Kerala India than I ever saw in California. There are lots of skilled growers in Thailand. I lived there in the early 80's. Genetics, soil and climate dictate a lot of the qualities so even a California grower would have to adjust as the environment is tropical
Cannabis is part of Asian culture. Laos , Cambodia , Thailand , Vietnam all use it daily on food.
More than 80% of police response is alcohol related in my country. When people smoke weed they tend to be way more relaxed
WOW, posted on sept 2020 and I'm only just hearing about it!!! This is a HUGE change for Thailand and very good news too! Sadly here in the UK they haven't got a f*cking clue!!!!!
We produce acres of weed in the UK for export, it is medical cannabis that some of the politicians are even involved in such as the drugs ministers husband and Teresa Mays husband are directors. Yet we are stopped from using it, such absolute corruption.
The UK should take a page from one of the colonies and legalize like Canuckistan
@@gedertonfc there are far more top Tory politicians involved in growing Cannabis.. South Birmingham lady Mp totally against DRUGS for instance BUT HUBBY grows acres in Norfolk then sends product to Netherlands for CBD oil production UK's Are Hypocritical about Medical use often far better than Pharmaceutical remedies..

There is 1 question to be asked: Did it help your insomnia? 😴
as a journalist who probably had to go to others countries and saying she took cannabis may put her on legal troubles on said countries...
we will never know...
I have insomnia so when i took cannabis it knocks me out to sleep so for me it works.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaha!
Of course!!! Indicas are my choice.
Yes but when it wears off your mind can go into overdrive.
GABA seems helpful. Melatonin gives me some wired dreams. Valerian is good.
Rain sounds.
good dosier. well done.
This is so cool. Thailand has some progressive drug and healthcare policies.
Thailand is a wonderful country with lovely people.. Being able to enjoy cannabis same way as tea, coffee in Thailand would be wonderful. I am already sold on Thailand but if I could have a peacefull smoke along with my coffee.
Also countrys like Vietnam should also consider decriminalized cannabis.
you cannot get high in Thailand, THC can only be a maximum of .15
@@dregnar85 that's incorrect.
Great to see, go Thailand!!🙂👍
And I thought I could never love Thailand more....
Give the people the herb, and all humanity will be saved. More fire and keep blazing them grades....and always give thanx to The Most High for the special herb. And big ups to the farmers out there who have been able to make people happy. Happiness is the only reason why we should live
The plant has been around for 30,000 yrs .has the finest oil and the strongest fibres, and the human body has THC receptors .
May not be legal but easily found. Spent month in Thailand and had no probs finding it in every city I went to.... Bangkok was was most difficult tho.
What ever happened to that gentleman with cancer in the temple?? Can you guys do a follow up?
If he continued to use the cannabis and eat healthy then I am sure he is fully cured. I know because that is how I cured my stomach ulcer and severe gastritis, I couldn't even swallow my saliva that is how bad I was. Cannabis saved my life.
Good to see how the government has made marijuana part of their healthcare system by providing it to those with limited resources so that patients can get access to new modeles of care they wouldn't otherwise have at their disposal.
Here on koh lanta where I live since 8-9 years even the police, not all of cause, smoke weed. And the local bars pay the police and... Corruption can be a beautiful thing when it benefits me 😊
What happens if a payment is not paid?
@@mortenfrosthansen84 you go to the police and tell them what you want to do. Then someone will come and check what kinda place you have, how much you sell and they give you a number. It's not much you can do. If you don't pay, they'll take you to jail. But because I'm not Thai, it's very difficult for me to know exactly what's going on. Even if you're "white" and open place you have to have a thai front figure. The last seizure I heard of because of not paying was 25 kg weed and 5 years jail. Probably a whole lot of money too. But it's usually worth to pay the police. They're not joking around but they rather seek a friendly solution. That's my own conclusion. Somehow it seems to work 💚
@@heavymeddle28 I was essentially being critical about the corruption situation.
Now when these cops, stand to loose their steady income of dirty money. What's gonna happen then?
Will they start to peddle heroin instead?
On the other side... I live in Denmark. We have something called Christiania here.. where I also suspect a lot of cops make a little extra on the side.
And I've been on the legalise team for years.
So much money and influence is going to some bad people.
Why not spend it on stuff that matters more. Activities for the youth comes to mind instantly.
And so many man hours spent in police, by going around checking under people's nutsacks.
They could be directed into solving all the neglected crimes, like burglary and traffic violations.
Perhaps a good idea, for the Thai police also.
Still it's definitely gonna ruffle some feathers and take some adjustments.
Really hope it works out as well as we've seen in Holland, Canada and the states.
Best wishes and take care in this already troubled time.

@@mortenfrosthansen84 thanks my friend 😊. The only thing I know is that meth and heroin is a no no. Only weed and mushrooms. But yea, my friends dad who was the "over seer" of the police here on koh lanta got shot dead when he exposed 5 cops selling heroin and weed. 15 years ago. The police are the real "mafia" here. I'm more scared of them than any others.
Denmark?! 😀 I'm Swedish. I only been to Denmark 1 time when I was 6. Back in 1977. Don't remember much. And christiania has always been a talking thing in Sweden. Cool. wow Daddy Dam is such a wise man. love his take on cannabis. He totally has it down. people need to learn to grow and share and enjoy cannabis. It truly is a gift put here from God. It shouldn't be about money.
the Philippines must learn from their gentle Thai neighbor.
I doubt that'll happen. Philippinos seem to've fully absorbed the "drugs are bad" mantra put forth by the government.
Afaik, there's no cultural history of using the plant in the Phils. Maybe it was the history of usage that allowed the Thai government to make this change.
The world needs a class action lawsuit against all governments who banned weed for the pain and suffering that they caused by not allowing people access to nature.
My Thai friend has Parkinson's and he does the oil. It is amazing to see the transformation after he takes it. It is illegal where I currently live and have used it in the past for my pain and PTSD with success with no side effects except I tend to eat more, ha ha ha. I like it for helping me sleep as well without the after effects that the pharmaceutical medicine caused. All the state's that borders the state I live in has legalized it and I am hoping for them to do so here.
How on earth can you ban a plant from being used..
good job thailand from malaysia
in 2018, during Songkran I was given a cigarette "joint" and was stopped in Phuket...
Oh god, such a shame.
If Thailand legalize weed there is no reason left not to move there ❤️

So when they legalize it, will they free all the prisoners whose lives they ruined? Or just pocket the huge profits they generate for their friends and ignore the suffering they have created?
cannabis helps my severe PTSD anxiety
Just knowing and seeing cannabis seeds with my own eyes a few days ago. It's only takes a day to germinate 😅. Thank you Thailand 🇹🇭.
So I had booked a flight to Thailand, on April 3th ... and when I wanted to board I got refused ... I am banned for life ... of course I had paid the hotel, the tests and I had a COE ... why I am banned I do not know ... I asked the Embassy in Brussels and a few of my friends asked this too ... but no reply ... now one month later I will just try to get a refund from the Quarantine hotel and the flight because this is pointless ... I contacted the Immigration Division by email and they told me to visit them personally in Bangkok, which is impossible, because I can never get there ... anyway ... I think Thai people are making fun of me ... that they enjoy destroying me totally ... all this stuff is not normal ...
@@TaraVanhonacker situations in Thailand is not so good either. Covid cases is on the rise, the demonstration is not stopped yet, and Bangkok is locked from what I've heard. About immigration, personally I have not so pleasant experience with it. There's no normal thing around the world though 😕.

Natures medicine not just for physical disease but it's psychoactive and good for mental health, so moderate recreational use should be legal also. Decriminalisation the way to go globally. Counting every leaf, root and stem is ridiculous. Anyone should be allowed grow a limited amount tor personal consumption. Did the reporter try the oil? Her personal opinion would be nice. 😎🧡
