Wow Iloilo. Choose Iloilo. Travel Iloilo. Been to a lot of places already and i think Iloilo has found it's way on the top of my faves. I just arrived from a 5day vacation from Iloilo and the stay and experiences were exceptionally amazing. The food, the people, their accent/tone (which is opposite to my town's accent. lol), the old churches, the city proper itself is highly urbanized much to my amazement. It's clean, sleek and trendy and a lot more. Will surely love to go back. Palangga ko na ang Iloilo. (Hope it's right. lol)

Iloilo is the first Queen's City of the South. It is so clean, peaceful and just simple. I am always proud to talk about Iloilo to my foreigner friends at work. I tell them to visit Iloilo before going to Boracay or Aklan. Ilonggos are sweet people too. Great city Great people.

I am not an Ilongo but I can say that Iloilo impresses me. I think it's really the people that or who shapes the place. The ambience of the place reflects the culture of the people there. I just hope that they would be able to maintain the charm of that place because here in Manila NCR, I don't know if we can still bring back that old Manila vibes. I know Ilongos being very keen on cleanliness, which is the strict culture there, would be able carry that out as it is the main ingredient of their charm. If I should go there and stay I hope I am welcome and I would really uphold their culture. Hindi baboy.
That "most shabulized city'' in the country was a political condemnation coming out of some issues way back the campaign period of the last presidential election. There is more of a personal issue other than the nature of drugs that brought about such statement coming from the present president. I have also thought of that but then during the night all the birds in the city proper actually rests/sleeps in the wires. I was quite amazed with it and before i go back to our hotel at night, i spend a few minutes watching the birds 😊

Which is a derogatory connotation towards us that we are poor but what they just said is exactly what a nouveau riche kind of being would say. @@meltingice5697 I know what "buki" is. I still have to meet a group of people who think Ilonggos are buki. From my experience ang impression towards Ilonggos is their tendency to be socialites. I went to U.P. Diliman and the Ilonggos I met there are mainly 'sosyals' and they never seemed to run out of money. I even had a dormmate who sends his laundry home to Iloilo every week and somebody picks it up EVERY week from the airport to be brought to him in our dorm in Quezon City. Another Ilongga brought her yaya in their dorm paying an outsider's rate to attend to her needs like fanning her during brown outs. Grabe. Ilonggo lifestyle in U. P. Diliman campus was always a conversation piece to other students. That was in the late 80s and early 90s.

Hahaha yes. I've been there in Iloilo. Yes maluwag nga yung kalsada kasi may service road sa gilid. Yes, malinis nga ang ilog nila and that's so amazing! Pero sa downtown nila, mejo hindi malinis eh. It was like a Cebu downtown when I was there. Marumi, mapanghi, at masikip.

@@estebanlipa6320 honestly, i just think ilonggos just know where to spend or invest their money in. Marami naman kasi ditong rent to own which by the way kaya naman ng pangakaraniwang pilipino. Disiplina lang talaga sa finances.implwensya naman kasi ng dating mga mayayamang sugar barons at chinese dito sa iloilo na maging financially knowledgeable and by the way marami na rin ditong koripot hahaha but when it comes sa pagkain or sa entertainment medjo picky mga tao dito. When its not worth their money hindi talaga sila babalik. Kaya maraming negosyong na paranga kakaiba na nag silabasan dito at marami ding banko.
@@meltingice5697 True. Ilonggos have been exposed to the finer things in life early on. With simple food they innovate and give it a twist giving it a refined edge. Also, Ilonggos are sanay sa pera so they do not get excited with money unlike the other provincial noveau riche who splurge mindlessly. You are right. Ilonggos know what they want and only indulge if they find it worth investing in.

I know exactly what you mean that they always call us "buki" because the way we dress ourselves even my friend from that place admit that they call us names like that and they always say; dito sa amin ang pera pinapala, sa iloilo kahit pala ibenta pa. Which is a derogatory connotation towards us that we are poor but what they just said is exactly what a nouveau riche kind of being would say. I know all of them are not like that though and they even recognized our progress and apply to their place which is a good change of pace from the long hatred we have towards one another. So peace😆
@@meltingice5697 I know what "buki" is. I still have to meet a group of people who think Ilonggos are buki. From my experience ang impression towards Ilonggos is their tendency to be socialites. I went to U.P. Diliman and the Ilonggos I met there are mainly 'sosyals' and they never seemed to run out of money. I even had a dormmate who sends his laundry home to Iloilo every week and somebody picks it up EVERY week from the airport to be brought to him in our dorm in Quezon City. Another Ilongga brought her yaya in their dorm paying an outsider's rate to attend to her needs like fanning her during brown outs. Grabe. Ilonggo lifestyle in U. P. Diliman campus was always a conversation piece to other students. That was in the late 80s and early 90s.

Hahaha yes. I've been there in Iloilo. Yes maluwag nga yung kalsada kasi may service road sa gilid. Yes, malinis nga ang ilog nila and that's so amazing! Pero sa downtown nila, mejo hindi malinis eh. It was like a Cebu downtown when I was there. Marumi, mapanghi, at masikip.
