Iloilo City is super clean and very well-organized. No tricycles or trisikad in major thoroughfares.
Iloilo City will become one of the prime cities of PH in the near future for sure. When they get to at least 1.5 - 2 million residents living there.

Watching other provinces quickly catching up as well. Siquijor having paved roads, heard a large store opening in Bohol. Just hope it does not get too much expensive in these islands as they develop so the locals won't suffer.
Last time I was in Iloilo was 2010 when I was in college and Megaworld was not there since. But now, I was blown away by how much Iloilo has changed. Amazing

The old main street of Iloilo City was JM Basa. We called that Calle Real. In early 1970’s there were cinemas and bookstores and small restaurants and clothes shops. JM Basa starts from Capitol to Freedom grandstand. And in late 1937 the domestic airport was opened in Manduriao. So many memories of Iloilo City.

Ahhh thank you for visiting my home city. I visited in July before that the last time I visited was 6 yrs ago in 2017. There has been so much development in the past 5 years it’s unbelievable. Iloilo is so unrecognisable now.

st. dominique/honore near the parking building 1 have the best-looking exterior and interior. units are a bit standard though. megaworld did good with this township. ayala's development nearby is so meh. it's nothing to scoff at but compared to MW...eh. they do have a bigger land on the outskirts bordering the next town...something to look forward to. however, to anyone actually interested in getting a unit in iloilo and not in a hurry, wait for a local developer's project. it's in a very very prime location across s&r and sandwiched between sm, mw, and ayala. crazy good location. unfortunately, no concrete dates yet despite it being released a few years ago. but afaik, it's still on.

Grand Hyatt Manila stands 318 meters including the antenna on its rooftop with 66 floors count. its just only 66flrs. since its ceiling to floor height is at 4-5meters high but if they adjust it on the standard floor to ceiling height Grand Hyatt Manila would probably houses to 75-80stories respectively.

In from Leon and I'm proud to tell that we have Bucari known as a summer capital of Iloilo , and lately I'm proud that miss Alexi Caimoso Brooks came from our town ... The new place where Festive Walk is, was developed by Megaworld. It used to be the airport but converted as a business park while the airport was transferred outside of the city the old airport was closed in 2007. Afterwhich construction of the Iloilo business park started. Just can't remember when it opened. It is 72 ha of land that now housed the iloilo convention center, mall, condos, hotels and offices.
The boulevard iyou saw from the balcony used to be a runway, Megaworld iwas the old iloilo airport before.

From Iloilo city, you can hire a boat to go around Guimaras Island. You can go to Bacolod City from Iloilo city.
