Make Claypot Rice Without A Claypot! - with USA Calrose Rice

Craving Claypot Rice but don't have a Claypot at home? Do not fret!
In this video I share with you a recipe where you can cook Claypot Rice in a normal saucepan! The secret lies in how you achieve that crispy crust! I also share how to prepare the salted fish to add that extra umami boost to the dish!
For the rice, I'm using USA Calrose Rice - (bit.ly/LazOkomeUSCalroseRice) It is a medium grain rice that is very versatile. It is plump, moist and great for absorbing the flavours of the chicken and lup cheong.

Can you use a rice cooker to cook this dish?

You can. Just cook the rice until it fluffs up a bit, then dump the ingredients in. I wouldn't oil the bottom of my rice cooker though if you have the fancy expensive ones, might ruin it. If you really want the crispy bottom, let it finish, scoop up the rice and give it a quick pan fry on another pan or pot.
