My biggest issue with color is the muddying. I don’t know if I’m overworking the area or just not getting enough color on initial passes.
I’m sure practicing will improve results but if Im practicing wrong my results won’t improve
Also another thing artist forget to tell you is that needle size is important when packing color. The bigger the needle grouping the harder it is to get everything saturated
Thank you for your incredible videos. They are so very helpful! I am learning so much from you.
would love to see a video on water useage and dynamic ink has a mixing solution and what thats used for. Love these guys and this new hobby

My issue I have the most is knowing when to let the skin breath and when spots should be more saturated than others
I'm so happy I found your channel🖤

What voltage you use when color packing?
i really loved it enjoyed your work learning a lot from you Brandon
My issue with color is not being able to see the color on real skin. So I tend to go over it again to try and get that bright color.
Thanks again bro 🤘 another helpful vid
My biggest issue is adding the white as a finisher. Whenever I add white instead of going on top of it, for example let’s say I add it on top of a red, it mixes into a pink color instead of adding a white highlight like it does on real skin, how do I fix this?
I’m looking to do some anime could you do a tutorial on how to do skin color and shading that really looks incredible please and thank you. I know it’s a lot of work and time that you invest in this. I’d be greatly appreciative
thank you
Hola gracias por compartir xo recién estoy empezando en este mundo del tattoo el problema que tengo es que el color no me queda sólido y compro los colores en Amazon porque en las tiendas piden licencia
You can try sites like Painful pleasures, EZ Tattoo Supply, & Kingpin Tattoo Supply and see if they ship to your country!
@@Tattooing101 thanks for the reply I live in North Carolina now
@tattoo101 can you explain a color wheel please
Good job 👍
I have trouble knowing when to fade to another color and what different colors to use for showing dimension
Do a realistic lion
The biggest issue I'm having is getting g the ink to take on first pass. Even with following instructions and timing hand speed with voltage , riding to tube or floating the needle, it doesn't matter how I do it the result is always the same. Barely any color takes, and in order to get the desired saturation I'm looking for I end up overworking the fake skin pretty severely... is it my machine or the ink my kit came with? I'm using a wormhole wtk 141 from Amazon
Brandon what size mag are you using in this video? Thanks 🤘🏻
Why is the color in the fake skin so much darker than the ink in the pot?
So when I coloured my design, the red ink I had mixed with the black and made it a lot darker red ... Did I do something wrong?
I tried doing the outline in black then coloring them (on fake skin), but the black diluted the color inks making all the colors changed. Is the ink’s problem or am I doing something wrong?
Hey Brandon, can you recommend some tattoo supply companies that will sell to the public? I believe most tattoo supply companies like Kingpin will require verification that all customers own, manage, are employed by, or are otherwise professionally affiliated with a licensed tattoo and/or piercing shop. Thanks for your help. 🙏 Poppy
Painfulpleasures sells to the people 🤙
How to get black and grey smooth shading transitions 🤔 its always patchy😕
Great job as always. I have a question. What is that black fabric that you use to protect your table?
It’s a dentist bib, can get them from Amazon/eBay
@@emmapenny2106 😊 thx
What speed do u run on for color packing for darkskin
Your voltage has nothing to do with color packing on dark skin. You should run it at whichever speed you're comfortable with, in tandem with your hand speed
Can you recommend top 3 good ink brands to look out for
Eternal Eternal Eternal - watch for fakes and or outdated
When I pack color the first few days after the tattoo is done the color is bright , full and solid . But towards the end of the healing the color literally just falls out .
Possibly you could not be going in deep enough into the skin. Otherwise, it could be the quality of your inks
I have a client that is allergic to black ink. What would you suggest for a replacement/alternative?
Mix purple and green
I have been having a hard time packing mom's color. I got some dynamic black and a few bottles of eternal. I'm hoping it will be better now. Do you have an email address? I did a tattoo with a lot of black and about halfway through,it stopped sticking. Was gonna try again after it healed but she found out she is pregnant so we gonna wait till after baby. Just on the fake skinz the black seems to be doing much better. Just wanted you to look at it and see if you see anything I missed
Is dynamic ink okay??
Their blacks are the industry standard!
After you use the red what do you use to clean the fake skin?
Just a thin layer of vaseline
My biggest issue with packing color in fake skin, is The color white
what ink do you recommend for fake/actual skin? I got ink that came in a dragonhawk kit. Also I got Mom's ink from Amazon 🤣 whats the major issue with mom's?
I’ve done tattoos on myself w/ Mom’s, albeit more on the minimalist side so maybe there would be difference if you used it for more detailed works, but I haven’t had any problems w/ the ink itself. I have watched a video where someone used Mom’s and said it didn’t react well w/ their skin so maybe some people are just allergic to some of the ingredients.
My biggest issue is when I'm cleaning off the color, it merges with all the other colors. I'm using real skin but so far at the end I always muddy all the colors together somehow
Make sure you are always running darkest color to lightest color
@@Tattooing101 Too add to this make sure you are wiping AWAY from your transitions > wipe towards your darker colors so you are not wiping the ink into the others.
The issue I have is that the finished color on the fake skin looks different from in the bottle.
Gotta take skin tones into thought Aswell
..."stay away from like moms"... as I sit in my kitchen tattoo a tiger on my leg with moms..... "well shit"...
I hate using fake skin because I never get to see the healed results, I can't wait to get onto human skin.
Or these techniques just for fake skin?
Brother I would love to meet you and shake you hand to tell you thank you face to face and would love to get a tattoo from you . and ? So moms ink is no good .
Dynamic is god
I bought Mom’s on Amazon when I 1st started and when it arrived the labels looked so bad that I questioned the seller if the ink was legit. I was told yes and that they are a certified distributor for Mom’s and that I could check. I contacted Mom’s directly and they did confirm. Needless to say, there ink is crap and even for practice skins it doesn’t work. Hope this helps!
Well that answers my question as to why packing mom's ink was near impossible. I got some new dynamic black for outlines and been using mom's color. I bought a few bottles of eternal,I hope they are better.
