I’m convinced that only Nikki can apply, wipe, prep, and reapply a bazillion foundations and still have flawless skin after every foundation. What a task! The uniqueness of these videos is what makes you one of the best on YT.
I’ve brought a fake in the past, I’ve never been able to afford designer brands and probably never will but I can dream. I’m 36 and nicest place I’ve ever brought bags from is *suluxy* lol 😂
Girl! A 4 hour break down! Only you! I can see how much love & devotion you have towards makeup as well as for your viewers bec being able to remove & reapply the base each & every time makes u the real MVP!
When I saw the duration time of the video I thought it was a mistake hahah she is really, dedicated! Big thank you Nikki! Might have to watch it in sections but I'm looking forward to every minute of it
I'll be returning to this video and the drug store one everytime I'm in store, thank God UA-cam added chapters and she adds time stamps. I'll be in the store holding a foundation and thinking "What did Nikki say?" 😅
I bought a replica YSL in *suluxy* and the quality is superior, have no issues with bag after 1,5 years. My friend bought YSL bag in YSl store, after 9 month she went back to report that handle is broken. Other friend has issues with LV backpack, bracelet and belt. months of waiting for repair and listening complains that she wore it wrong. I made my decision about high brands. Not worth it
That was a lot of work. Thank you so much. I’ve never met you but I have such love for you. I’m 62 and new to the makeup and skincare landscape. You have helped me tremendously. ❤
@@leighh9319 exactly and it's a 4 hour video!!!! No way would I watch it all but why not interact with those who do ??? I am starting to absolutely not like most UA-camrs !!!! It's ridiculous of them !!! I guess they forget if WE DIDN'T WATCH THEY WOULD BE BROKE!!!!
I see over a thousand comments ladies. That’s a thousand of autographs that you have to put thought into & make everyone feel special. Perhaps we could focus on the generosity & sweetness of the original commenter? Influencers with large followings often pay for help. Would you want the response of a random employee anyway?
Estée Lauder double wear is my all time favorite. It is the only foundation I've found that will not settle into the lines on my forehead, and I've tried MANY. I'm almost 50 years old and this has worked for me, for years. The key is not using too much. I love it and I hope they never stop making it. I wish I could find a cheaper "dupe" but I haven't yet. This is great for my very oily, mature skin. You don't need much, even for full coverage so it does last. Love your videos!
Nikki, You have inspired me to be passionate again about makeup. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer and chemo was tough. I was bald and lost my love for makeup. I started watching your videos lately and you have inspired me to love makeup again. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just wanted to pop in and let you know we’re twinsies. I am also battling cancer and Nikki has helped with solutions for skin textural changes, loss of brows and lashes and overall my makeup mojo. Sending love and light to you. ❤❤❤
Jan and Daph just reaching out to offer my love support and prayers ❤️ I have a cousin battling round two I don't know what the hell kind of cancer ,lots of tumors back of stomach. Super odd and obviously we are concerned but hopeful. Nikki spreads love and warmth. And so glad her community is so supportive. Again sending prayers sisters. ❤
Me too!!! Diagnosed with stage 4 - chemo , radiation, multiple surgeries that have just ravished my hair and body and using make up again has made me feel so feminine again…
Oh Cheryl, I’m with you girl. I felt and I feel the same way. Even on days when I’m in my pj’s and relaxing, playing with makeup makes me feel in some ways like my old self! Sending you all the love and hope for wellness you deserve.
Omg Nikki !!!! This is the type of content that I always wished for on UA-cam! THANK YOU for all of your hard work and the unbelievable dedication that you keep showing us over and over again! I really hope one day you can bless us with another video like this that covers powder foundations - as an oily skin gal, those are the types of foundations that work best on me. I will definitely rewatch this video multiple times to really properly absorb all of the invaluable information. Thank you!
This isn't a video, this is a FULL ON FEATURE FILM HOLLYWOOD PRODUCTION. This is incredible! Thank you for all the hard work that must have gone into this! ❤❤❤
Never did I ever think that I would watch a 4hr video about every foundation at Sephora and only Nikki La Rose could make me do it. 😊 Plus I could have watched for another 4 hrs easily. ❤ I am amazed that your skin still looked flawless after all that. Your voice, the delivery of the information is so soothing and the time flew past. Thank you for all the time and dedication you put into this video. It was very much appreciated ❤ 3:46:47
Nikki, I'd love to see you do a video of all of the mature skin friendly foundations. I know there are other youtubers, but You are my favorite!! I trust you. I feel like you are honest and relatable.
If you are able to watch THIS video ( I realize you’ll need to be patient and have time- I broke it up!) Nikki covers mature friendly foundations as well. She always mentions when she thinks applicable for us ( I am 71, w dry skin!!)❤️
I watched this whole video!! Took me 4 days with little kiddos but I enjoyed every minute of it! Your product recommendations and techniques have seriously changed my life. After turning 27 and having 3 kids my skin was so different and none of my makeup products/techniques were working all the sudden. I was just going to accept that my makeup would be a creasy/greasy/ cakey mess forever. Then I found you! So thank you for all your advice, hard work, and dedication! 🤍
I would LOVE a follow up on this video with a wear test on the foundations you tried for the first time and loved. Curious to know if any of them don’t wear as well throughout the day like the HD and Beautiful Skin foundations!!
Nikki, thank you for remembering your mature fan base while making recommendations on these foundations. It took me a few days to go through the entire video, but I loved it & watched it twice as I took notes. From your recommendations I first want to try the KVD liquid, Laura Mercier, Dior Forever, & Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra Wear foundations, but I made a long list of other foundations I may try if & when they go on sale!
your skin is glass in itself! just stunning. new revelations to me were the kvd liquid, kosas luminous, hourglass vanish stick, armani power fabric and that la mer. damn. tarte was abysmal even years ago. just greasy, muddy sludge. blushes now seem chalky as well. have always a true blue nars girlie. and loved your joy at revisiting an old favorite
10000% Agree!!!!! I think she included a mature skin comment in nearly every single one of these foundations (well, so far, I'm only 3 hours in, so far!)
I've always wondered what that description is suppose to mean about the product (in regards to: foundation, blush, etc.) Obviously, it's aging skin but, older women have dry, combo or oily skin too so,, I'm just not ever sure what that says about the product description. Lighter weight? Full coverage? More dewy or matte? I just don't know!🤔🤷🏼♀️☺️ ~Thanks!
@@LK-lz6lk I feel like it’s the kinder gentler way of saying wrinkled lol… Same as textured. Larger pores? It doesn’t have to do with dry or oily because we know age has nothing to do with that. Although dry skin is more common after menopause it does not happen to everyone. I think she may be referring to how the foundation settles into lines - or not? Such a huge factor on whether I keep or return a foundation.
Wow! This is another fine example of your commitment to educating your audience. I’m dying to see a video later on your top 10 or maybe top 10 dry/mature skin. I can think of so many potential spin off videos from this. I’ve not bought any new foundations but I did cave and get your brush! My current top 4 is the Chanel No 1, Chanel water fresh touch, Haus Labs and Armani Luminous Silk. Thanks for all you do:)
Nikki, in case someone else hasn't already answered, the Clinique 2, 3, 4 is their skin type code, i.e., Dry Combination (Skin Type 2), Combination Oily (Skin Type 3) and Oily (Skin Type 4)
Hi Nikki. I would never spend over a hundred dollars for a foundation, but I had to try the lemere foundation upon your recommendation. Oh my gosh, I have matured 60 years old skin, with lots of texture and fine lines. My skin feels amazing and talking about blurring the lines, OMG. The Foundation is nothing I have ever felt before, so luxurious and blurred my hyperpigmentation. I absolutely love this foundation, and thank you Nikkie for testing it. WOW WOW and again thank you so much for your dedication to your craft and allows people like me to see what's available out there. Nikki, You are the greatest
I believe Pat McGrath was in charge of developing the Armani luminous silk foundation. Interesting and insightful that you immediately noted the similarities. Great video Nikki!
Nikki, thank you so so much for every video of the “I Tried All the […] From Sephora” series. I know they are time consuming, hard work, and pretty rough on the skin but please know that they are all deeply appreciated!! You are so special and unique here on UA-cam; just wonderful, sweet, and trustworthy. 💕💕💕
True story: some of these factories are so goodt you can’t even tell. ❤ I’m sticking with the factories boo. That’s how you do it. I have many authentic bags and reps from factories *suluxy* and when I tell you they legit have them down pack you can’t even tell that’s how good they have gotten. Be smart ladies!
As a mature, oily skin gal, I'm LOVING some of these recommendations. Finding foundation that lasts, conceals large pores, and minimizes the appearance of light to deep wrinkles, creases and crepiness is a constant challenge.
I'm curious as to which foundation checks off your needs as far as a foundation. I too have the same issues with foundations. Please share your thoughts.
Same issues here!! I would have never imagined as a kid that when I reached my age that I would still battle oil and pores and acne and texture while also battling wrinkles😂. That’s not fair! The oil is supposed to keep me from wrinkles dammit😂
@@pawnerd3525 - Right? I was told as a teenager that I should be happy to be oily because I wouldn't have wrinkles. Nobody bother to mention the effects of menopause. LOL!
These kinds of videos are super helpful when I am considering buying certain products. Your detailed commentary; including your experiences, how best to apply, and who it’s best suited for, is refreshing. This “Try All” Series is amazing and my favorite videos to watch. Your time and effort in these videos are very much appreciated.
I just finished watching the WHOLE video. Thank you for doing this for us. I am so happy that you included the LA Mer foundation at the end. I have used this foundation and nothing else compares to it. I can never figure out why it is never mentioned even though it is so expensive. When you first are applying it you think that it isn't doing anything because it seems like it disappears but it really just blends with your skin so amazingly so fast that you think it has disappeared until you see how amazing your skin all of the sudden looks! I love it.
The past few years I have tried many foundations to try to find the ones that work well with my now mature, drier skin (I'll turn 60 later this year). My top three are Armani Luminous Silk, NARS Light Reflecting and Este Lauder Double Wear. Today I actually wore the Este Lauder which I had stopped using because it wasn't wearing as well as it used to on my dry skin. However, today I mixed it with a small amount of the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (suggested in a recent video by Glam Girl Gabi) and OH MY GOSH, what a beautiful combo! I have had my eye on your BK Beauty Pro Foundation Brush you were using today. So many people are raving about it so I'm just going to have to break down and purchase one of my own! Thanks for all of the work you put into this video!
So you put the Charlotte Tilbury on over the Estée Lauder Doublewear (is the CT the one in the gold pressed powder compact). How do you apply that (damp spike, BK beauty brush?). TY
@@leslieridenour2734 The CT Hollywood Flawless Filter is a liquid highlighter. I have actually replaced it with my NARS Light Reflecting Makeup. So what I do is take about 1-2 pumps of the Este Lauder and one pump of the NARS on the back of my hand and mix it together. Then I place dots on my face and blend it by bouncing a damp Beauty Blender on my skin (not rubbing it). Whatever is left on the back of my hand I use on my neck. I have found that less is best when it comes to the Este Lauder -- a little goes a long way. If I don't add the NARS or CT Flawless Filter, the Este Lauder is more cakey. I need something to make it more dewy. I also change the ratio based on my current skin condition. If my skin is more dry, I use a little more of the NARS. Hope that helps.
Omg this is the Olympics of foundation try on 🎉🎉🎉😅❤ what a treat 😃 4 h of Nikki putting her cheek out in the wild for us to see how this products perform !!! 😁 Thank you Nikki 😊😊❤ we love you !!
Nikki, I've watched your videos for only a few weeks, but I was so impressed by your blush haul that I immediately subscribed to your UA-cam channel; now, some videos after, and passed FOUR HOURS of this fantastic, meticulous, professional (yet sweet) and complete scan of almost every known foundation, you are one of my favorites on YT! Thank you!🥰🥰🥰
Nikki, I watched the whole thing. I can't imagine the time and effort and money it took to make this video. So impressed with your dedication and hard work (and Mitch's too)
Wow! Thank you for doing this for all of us. Organized, informative in all aspects & attributes of each foundation, well-planned and visually pleasing! The amount of time to gather your resources, meticulously carve out the hours for your purchasing journey, & then taking off the days to film & edit!!! You are the best!!! You're so awesome! A 4-hr masterpiece film - The One & Only Nikki & Foundations! Love ya!
My top three of the 37 I have tried on your list? 1. Armani Luminous Silk 2. Armani Power Fabric (for more coverage on rosacea spots or for special events/photographs) 3. I would say the Laura Mercier glow foundation but it's not on your list Runner up: Nars Sheer Glow My criteria for my mature combo skin? Light - med buildable coverage, no SPF / flashback, no strong scent, good shade match, sets down with no powder necessary. Natural finish. Not too glowy, not too matte, not makeup-y. Not asking much! These glide over lines texture and dry patchy tretinoin flakes yet still work in the oily T-zone. Yes I'm the Princess and the Pea of foundation 😊 Nars only made runner up due to the lack of perfect shade match, longevity is not as good unless used with the Milk gripping primer which is a great combo. The PML, Shiseido and Laura Mercier Weightless made it to my arsenal. Just not as good as Armani. May the Armani live forever without reformulation! 🙏 MUFE Forever HD (discontinued) was a holy grail may it R.I.P.
@@td0440 Hi! Yes but it has been about 4 years… Not sure it has been reformulated since then but I couldn’t handle the fragrance of that one. I prefer MAC Face & Body formula and color match anyway, it’s just not on this list at Sephora. Also Lisa Eldridge skin tint it’s all I’m wearing since it came out. Found my perfect shade, it dries down so you can’t feel it but it’s not matte. It’s kind of velvety, reminding me of Luminous Silk but maybe w a tad more glow and no perfumey fragrance. My skin is dry some days and combo others and it’s become my go-to either way. Pricey though!
I’m obsessed with the reformulation of the Dior Backstage foundation. It’s perfect for my normal/dry skin. I get so many compliments on my skin every time I use it.
Amazing review, what a huge effort! I tried 3 foundations yesterday and my skin was screaming at me … you tried like 100, that is commitment. THANK YOU!!
HI Nikki! Gord here. I absolutely adored this marathon you have presented here. I thank you so so much for doing these long videos to share it with us all! As a dry skin, pale fella....there are a number of foundations I want to try for a nice hydrated smooth finish! Luv ya girl! Thank you again! XG 💋 💖 🌈 💐
I don't know how useful a video like this is for someone like me who is mostly interested in how a foundation wears, if it breaks apart, fades horribly, settles or makes me look an oily mess?
Its simply not the video you need, i recommend you searching the name of the foundation you’re interested in along with”wear test” and i bet youll find very good videos with that information 😉
That is great but mature skin is not a type, I'm more mature and combo/oily , I have my texture, lines but I can only wear double wear, only this one gives me the longevity I need, my T zone is very oily 😅❤
Thank you for being 100% honest about the merit foundation stick. People only rave about it and I just didn't trust the reviews. I knew it wasn't perfect.
@@rebnae I bought it, tried it and returned it. It was awful.....and I found it very difficult to find a good shade. I do really enjoy the Hourglass and Lancome stick foundation. Just have to "learn" how to make it work...which Nikki mentions--skin prep is key.
I HATED the Huda stick foundation and all her foundations. Total cake face every time. But other than that I agree with everything you said and I so appreciate your hard work Nikki. You are incredible!!!
There merit stick in Dune is the most perfect color match of any foundation I've ever seen. Sadly I agree the texture isn't great. But I keep trying bc the color is so perfect for me.
I actually bought one and hated it at first--gave me heinous texture when I applied it with the brush. Then I gave it another try for spot concealing mainly, dotting it on and melting it in with the heat of my fingers. Now I like it a lot; the shade is a good match for me, and it has a very natural satiny look that blends in well with the rest of my face where I haven't used it. Not saying it couldn't be improved upon, but I'll definitely finish the stick and possibly buy it again.
Great round up. As a 57yr old combo girlie with rosacea I am loving the Rose Inc even though its expensive. I cant use high end with fragrance so happy to pay for this formula. Wears nicely & doesnt upset my skin. Laura Mercier was awful. Stayed tacky & didnt set down & didnt wear well.
You are amazing. I used to be in love with makeup and buying makeup 10 years ago. Jaclyn Hill made me fall into love with makeup. But i had lost touch with it. You brought my love back. Not good for my pocket but I am excited again. Thank you for being sooo detailed and so dedicated. Your videos are the best.
Nikki, I cannot thank you enough for you insight, attention to detail, and time! Watching you swatch one foundation after another is soooo exciting. You are unbiased and are candid about each and every product you test. I know that every product you like has your seal of approval, and please know trust your judgement blindly! I am happy to follow your suggestions because you're honest, authentic, and extremely critical. The fact that you put together a 4-hour video is just astonishing on its own! Thank you SO much for providing insight into so many different options for everybody. Your video is beyond amazing! Thanks again for your honesty and your hard work! P.S. KUDOS for being such a great makeup artist and person! You've been a makeup inspiration for me since I first found your channel. I AM THRILLED TO have seen this video. I relished every single review, and I know I can rely heavily on your pointers, taste, and preference! Thank you SO SO SO MUCH!
Well, the lack of shades goes in a couple of directions. There are lines that don’t include enough shades in the darker colors, and lines that are too yellow with no neutrals or pinks. The lines that don’t include anything for us pinker peeps are MUCH MORE NUMEROUS than the lines that don’t have enough deeper shades. It’s a problem! Many of these lines I can’t even think about because of how yellow they are. 🤨 Nikki mentions that with Too Faced, but so many only have pinker colors in the very fair shades. As soon as you get into the slightly darker shades, there are often no shades with pink undertones. It’s sad….
@@debrap5758pinker undertones used to be far more popular in the past especially in drugstore. That used to be why I couldn’t wear foundation almost ever from drugstore or many brands. I need gray green. Me aside I find quite a few people have been saying they cannot find pink undertones anymore. I don’t know what happened.
Yesterday I wore the NARS light reflecting foundation and I was literally shook when I looked in the mirror after a long day of work that it literally looked just as good as when I applied it in the morning. It didn’t move at all but wasn’t cakey at all. 😍
i just have to say, you are a soldier a real trooper, to make this unbeliveble long video, spend so much money, so much time wouwwwww i am trully impressed, and i just can tell you are such a good good person, to your core good, honest, wonderful person. Thank you Nikki!!! I mean THANK YOU NIKKI !!!
Wow!!! I loved this!! I cannot imagine the time, effort, money and passion this was. You and Mitch did an absolutely fabulous job!!! Love you so much!! You are the best!! ❤
I am very excited! Nikki, did you try the Sephora ColorIQ service where they take a snapshot of your skin and from then on, everything complexion (foundations, concealers) will show you your IQ match? I did it and it is amazing - no more guessing! But I wonder how accurate it is, so wanted to know your take. I am surprised more people aren’t talking about it.
Thank you for your hard work, Nikki! And let’s not forget Mitch for editing it! I can’t imagine the hours of footage you both had to watch through before posting!!
I LOVE YOU AND YOUR CONTENT !!! I ain’t never gonna stop loving you lol ! No seriously, no one is doing what you are doing in the beauty community! You are amazing ! Bingeable . Show stopping !!!
Oh Nikki, I just love you. I was so excited that I never slept last night and stayed with you the whole time. My very dry and mature skin thanks you! Here are the foundations on my bucket list! 1) Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin 2) Dior Forever Glow foundation 3) Lancôme Care and Glow foundation 4) Givenchy Prisme Libre And so many more. I’m a fairly new subscriber and you’ve been responsible for my makeup since watching you. Will make a “live” soon! Thanks again for all your dedication, hard work and heart. ❤️ ❤❤
I'm 60....Balanced leaning dry at moments. I just finished a sample of the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin, very nice!!! Took a bit of time to dry down but I felt like it gave "life" to my skin (not full coverage but I really enjoyed it!!). It's on my hit list for the VIB sale!!! Have you tried the Nars Sheer Glow---Wayne Goss introduced me to it about 6 months ago, I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!
Hi Kemberly! Thanks so much for your wonderful reply! I love a good medium coverage so I think I’ll definitely try Danessa. So glad you liked it. I’ve never tried Nars’ Sheer Glow! My skin is so dry and it sounds perfect. I almost never hear anyone talking about it! Wayne Goss has never steered me wrong!
Another fan here!!🥳 Nikki I’d love to see you do a review of your favorite professional foundation you use in your kit, RCMA, Kryolan, Graftobian!? And what skin types u use them for and what skin prep with them!! Keep it up!!🥳
I've been waiting for this video for so long! Thank you so much for pouring all the time and money to do this video because it's so helpful for those of us trying to get into foundation, but the options are very overwhelming.
Nikki, only you sweetie! Such an amazing, in😊~depth foundation review. Thank you so much for all your amazing reviews, honesty and always thinking of your U Tube family. I love you bunches and thank you for all the work, determination and commitment to all of us ladies. You are my fav U Tube Beauty content creator. You’re the best. Prayers your left cheek didn’t get irritated from all the amazing foundations you applied for us. 🙏
Thank you Nikki!! Super interested in the Shiseido Synchro Skin and the Lancome Ultra Wear. Also I made it a point to let all ads run full length as appreciationn for your hard work!! Love these videos ❤
This video couldn’t have arrived at a better time! My husband and I and our cat are driving from Georgia to Massachusetts this weekend … perfect time for long form sensory content 🥰✨
I love these informational videos. You really help me make good buying decisions. I bought the Haus Labs foundation, on your recommendation, and I will be buried with it. Seriously, my husband even commented on how nice it looked and how undetectable it is. So, thank you. I know these videos must take a lot of time and effort to produce and I greatly appreciate it. ❤❤❤
Nikki. You make putting on your makeup look so easy. You look like you have beautiful skin. You can tell you are an artist 😮. I would love to spend a day with you to learn all your tricks 😅
Not only was this a great guide to foundations but it was excellent guide to application for us new to makeup! I’ve learned so so much about brushes; which to use, when and how. Thank u Nikki! Ur the best!!
Nikki - I used to be a Personal Consultant for Clinique, the numbers on the foundation (2,3,4) coordinates with their 3 step skincare. 1-dry skin 2-normal 3-combo 4-oily. I hope that helps! Btw, they have a zero that just takes out the alcohol.
I love these videos! I’m not sure if you have videos/content where you pick your favorites from all of the ones you’ve tested. But I’d love to know whatever your personal favorites are after reviewing so many products💕
Nikki you are gorgeous and so talented. This video, this video has been the most informative video I have seen in a long time if not ever. I even got my 77 year old Mom to watch it. Thank you so much for all the money, time, and energy you put into this. We truly appreciate it❣ The La Mer looked absolutely flawless as did the Armani Power Fabric, well so many others did too. Those are the two that really stand out. The Hourglass literally looked as though you were airbrushed when you put it on, that was truly amazing to see. I, a 50 year old who wants to cover pores, am definitely looking into the La Mer. My Mom, who wants to diminish wrinkles and add some luminosity (she feels her skin can look dull), also wants to look into the La Mer. Neither of us would have before seeing this video. Now, we can see the value in the product. The Armani Power Fabric also sparks our curiosity. Mom is going to also look into the Gucci. I am not going to lie, the packaging for the Guerlain really grabbed me. Again, thank you so much for doing this!!! You are truly amazing💖💖💖
Nikki, I so appreciate the time and commitment you put into this series where you try all of various product offerings at Sephora. I’ve heard you mention before that your skin eventually starts to react negatively to the on/off to showcase each item, which I suspect any skin type would begin to scream ‘enough’ at a certain point. I can maintain the same routine at night with the same well proven products and still wake up with red annoyed cheeks for reasons unknown to me. I hate dealing with it as it is uncomfortable and visibly frustrating. Experiencing those days gives me a hint at what your cheek starts to feel like and, no doubt, you are taking one for the team to do it anyway because you want to help us. So I truly am thankful to have your channel and your video catalog to refer back on as often as need be for advise or guidance.
Thank you for such a detailed video. Took me 3 days to complete it but was so much fun! You are such an amazing human being for helping all of us swatch and try foundations on. I don't really watch UA-cam or even makeup videos, but since discovering you, I literally only watch your makeup videos here! Much love and support Nikki
I think this shows that there are fantastic foundations at every price point. It depends on what you want for your skin type. Nikki had some really good things to say about the affordable ones as she did for the overpriced ones. You don't need to overspend to get a beautiful complexion. Thanks for the hard work Nikki and Mitch 💚💚
She said she doesn't use self tanners (except for her legs in the winter, she said she uses a gradual self tanner to match the rest of her body). This is her natural skin tone
Would love to see a bridal look for olive skin tones (photography friendly) with products that give a flawless/filtered finish - clean ingredients would be a bonus! Thank you so much for this, waiting on a top 10! Currently looking for a higher end foundation/base for when I get married next year!
As always, super helpful Nikki! Curious, you used the BK 106 brush with the Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation instead of your foundation brush, was there a particular reason for that decision? For example, the BK 106 brush is better for the viscosity of the foundation..?
My top 3 foundations that I have currently are Pat Mcgrath, Dior Face and body, and Haus Labs. You've continuously influenced me into wanting to try the Armani Luminous silk and the Nars Light reflecting as well as the Nars Light radiant foundation but I need to use what I have first before I move on! Loved this video though, as a Sephora Employee these videos are so fun for me ✨
Congratulations Nikki & Mitch for the investment in terms of money, time and patience in this video! Still going through it, marked a few favs on my Sephora wishlist. Great video
And this is the difference between a professional mua approach and an influencer review. So objective meaningful and on point. Just wow. Thank you for all this hard work it was fabulous xo❤🎉
I love the Too Faced Healthy Glow foundation. Love! Been using it for over a year. It hasn't gotten enough love! So happy Nikki reviewed it and loves it. She had it with her in London, if I'm not mistaken. ❤
@@lauratheclaireI definitely find it more light coverage, it is actually a skin tint. I have other skin tints that have a little more coverage but I really love the too faced one
Thank you for the detailed information you provided. I realized why some foundation shades didn’t work well after you shared how some brands label the opposite skin tone. I appreciate how easy the chapters and links were listed. 💗💗💗
Your skin is amazing, and you don't need foundation; any foundation would look gorgeous on your skin. Additionally, I respectfully disagree with you on the Armani Luminous Silk foundation. As someone with mature and dry skin in my 50s, I found that this foundation did not complement my skin well and, in fact, looked rather unflattering. Have you tried any of the Chanel foundations? I would love to hear your thoughts on Chanel. Thanks.
I loove this video and thank you for the effort, but a wear test is so important. Some of the ones you tried go on beautifully but the wear tests on other channels show they might not be recommended. The Kosas for example looks so makeupy after a few hours. I recommend noting down what you liked and looking for in depth reviews. Thank you for this, I wrote down a lot of ones I want to check out ❤
I’m convinced that only Nikki can apply, wipe, prep, and reapply a bazillion foundations and still have flawless skin after every foundation. What a task! The uniqueness of these videos is what makes you one of the best on YT.

Thank you for mentioning the fragrance (or lack of) and who it’s best for - and you did not overlook mature skin. Awesome content 🙌🏼 Thank you ❤
10000% Agree!!!!!
Hi Nikki. I would never spend over a hundred dollars for a foundation, but I had to try the lemere foundation upon your recommendation. Oh my gosh, I have matured 60 years old skin, with lots of texture and fine lines. My skin feels amazing and talking about blurring the lines, OMG. As a mature, oily skin gal, I'm LOVING some of these recommendations. Finding foundation that lasts, conceals large pores, and minimizes the appearance of light to deep wrinkles, creases and crepiness is a constant challenge.
So, which one met those challenges? No, I haven’t watched it through, just getting started. ❤️

My top three of the 37 I have tried on your list?
1. Armani Luminous Silk
2. Armani Power Fabric (for more coverage on rosacea spots or for special events/photographs)
3. I would say the Laura Mercier glow foundation but it's not on your list
Runner up: Nars Sheer Glow
My criteria for my mature combo skin? Light - med buildable coverage, no SPF / flashback, no strong scent, good shade match, sets down with no powder necessary. Natural finish. Not too glowy, not too matte, not makeup-y. Not asking much! These glide over lines texture and dry patchy tretinoin flakes yet still work in the oily T-zone. Yes I'm the Princess and the Pea of foundation 😊
Nars only made runner up due to the lack of perfect shade match, longevity is not as good unless used with the Milk gripping primer which is a great combo.
The PML, Shiseido and Laura Mercier Weightless made it to my arsenal. Just not as good as Armani. May the Armani live forever without reformulation! 🙏
MUFE Forever HD (discontinued) was a holy grail may it R.I.P.
@@AllyKit have you tried the dior backstage?
How does that rate for you with your criteria?
@AllyKit thank you for your response.
MUFE HD is not discontinued because I just recently bought it and wear it.
@ The original was discontinued. What is out now is a reformulation. It is not the same.

That is great but mature skin is not a type, I'm more mature and combo/oily , I have my texture, lines but I can only wear double wear, only this one gives me the longevity I need, my T zone is very oily 😅❤
I have to give your face props for taking on all of those foundations - watching this makes me want to see your skin care videos! ✨
Thank you for being 100% honest about the merit foundation stick. People only rave about it and I just didn't trust the reviews. I knew it wasn't perfect.
I bought it after loving their lip oils & wanted to try more of the brand and...I hate it. I hate it so much 🤣
@@rebnae I bought it, tried it and returned it.

I relished every single review, and I know I can rely heavily on your pointers, taste, and preference! Thank you SO SO SO MUCH!
Nikki, thank you for speaking out about the lack of shade ranges some of the cosmetic companies continue to offer.
This was by far the best makeup video I’ve ever seen! 4 hours that totally worthy it! Congrats for the incredible work!

If I have to take breaks watching this, I can only imagine the amount of work you've put in. Thank you, Nikki!
Now THIS is my kind of movie! Thanks so much for taking the time and the investment to make this video. SO helpful! Keep up the good work ❤
I think this shows that there are fantastic foundations at every price point. It depends on what you want for your skin type. Nikki had some really good things to say about the affordable ones as she did for the overpriced ones. You don't need to overspend to get a beautiful complexion. Thanks for the hard work Nikki and Mitch 💚💚
Nikki I would love a video of self tanners that you use. Your tan is always so on point!!
I didn’t think of it but, YES!
Would you agree it’s more light to medium? I’m looking for a good light coverage foundation
@@lauratheclaireI definitely find it more light coverage, it is actually a skin tint. I have other skin tints that have a little more coverage but I really love the too faced one
Probably one of my favorite foundation videos. I love how you did it by price point thank you so much!
You are the legend Nikki! Super appreciate this comprehensive review!
Wow, this is incredible. Nikki has definitely taken one for the team. Please could you do a top 5 for foundation, blush, highlighter, concealer etc.
Can you do a follow up and pick your top 5 or 10?
Thanks.
I didn’t like the Armani one either.
This ginormous haul deserves a million views! Thank you very much for the amount of work and effort you’ve put in!! ❤😊
