If you have a mutual fund, etf, invested in the stock market, use a bank, pay insurance premiums, your money is going into corporations that invest in all sorts of products, properties and assets. Who decides what money goes where and how much? Big brother? Name that person or authority that is the decider. Welcome to socialism or worse when that day comes.
What if I want to own a rental home, so I incorporate into an LLC to manage the property and income so my personal assets are protected from litigation? I understand and agree with your premise, but not all corporations are huge. The law would have to be crafted in such a way where it would be limited to banning private equity firms like Blackrock and Vanguard from owning single family homes.
Oh boo fkin hoo, you realize most of our ancestors put up with WAY worse right? We went to war over a country we objectively had less rights over back then, and on top of that our ancestors did it enthusiastically, it’s only recently that generations have started to speak up, 1970s and such. Our ancestors would’ve been total pushovers for the government lol, well maybe not mine cuz my parents are not original Americans.
The position should only be filled by straight men that have kids that are minors. Once the kids are no longer minors, you should not be in political office. You have to have something worth defending that can't fight for themselves.
@@noodles7157 no it absolutely needs to go further than that. You have to have major skin in the game and be around to see the changes that you enacted for the betterment of your kids that are unable to defend themselves. Start with 2 Trillion less to Ukraine. Vote and watch the ballot boxes and the voting machines! Get a think tank together to make this work. It should be easy to do.
Then there's people who say "You can succeed, just don't be a wage slave!" Um, excuse me? You realize SOMEONE has to actually do the work, right? That not EVERYONE can sit on the sidelines and let their money work for them? That if people stopped working tomorrow, YOU'D BE BROKE TOO?! What exactly are you advocating for? It's in your own words, 'wage slave'. You want others to be slaves for you, instead of working out a fair deal for workers. You aren't helping things by getting off the grind, you're making them worse, because rather than pay more to the remaining workers, everyone just expects them to work harder. This is going to blow up in all your faces, when money has no value anymore, because you strangled the economy.
So glad Asmon covered your video. What I said there, I will say here: I work full time, 12 hour shifts. My job pays for my college education, I have zero student loans. I live with my mom (neither of us can afford to live alone and split the bills). I don't own a car, I'm walking distance to work and school. I make $21/hr. 25% of my monry goes to taxes. We make too much to qualify for any form of government assistance (local rent is $1400/month for a studio) and I can't even dream of living alone, let alone buy a home unless I make triple my income.
I don't think people really tolerate it, to an extent. People don't even agree on what corruption is, and who is to blame. Thanks in no small part of the actual corrupt people that are intentionally creating this confusion with social divides. Sure peoples vices and fears are being used against them and they should be strong and resist, but many of them are not even aware that its happening
6:22 Mr.Bergman is right. Russel Brand stated as to why congress does business with these specific companies. ITS BC CONGRESS OWNs stock in said companies. They totally are so freakin happy the United States Air Force is buying bundles and bundles of those things for $90,000 per pack; meanwhile there’s other suitable companies that can manufacture the same exact specific components for far cheaper the price with safety Inspections made in America. CONGRESS IS CORRUPT! EVERY POLITICIAN NEEDS TO HAVE NO STOCK IN ANY COMPANY; or they need to reevaluate the budget of the Us army and make it so that they may have someone else decide where they get parts from while monitoring the budget. Us military spending is already astronomically high. These scumbags are taking advantage of everyone’s tax dollars.
I agree with this young man in principle. I’m genx and things were affordable when I started my family. So, now we need a solution. Unfortunately, what most don’t understand is power. We have none. The regular person has no power and no representation. Those who do represent us are under duress or on the take. They can’t do what they want. There are only 435 in Congress. If you had a trillion dollar budget to exploit 435 people it would be fairly easy to do. That’s only one problem. The next is the Fed. The next is media control. The next is education. The next is corporate greed. The next is the military industrial complex. The next is the amount of debt we have. Does anyone have a solution?
My grandfather was able to afford a 2 story house with a garage and sizable backyard making less than 30,000$. Don't ever tell me my generation is lazy these politicians and institutions are destroying our country. It's way past time to start holding them accountable.
Your grandfather and your father and your grandmom and your mom didnt want you to have those dirty privileges. They voted for policies that prevent you from having those things. And they told you to keep voting same way. And as loyal little slave you do
This Gen Z guys is absolutely right. My mom is a retired Highschool Principal and now cannot afford living on her pension, while owning a house and has no depts. 15 years ago she was ok. It is a global problem.
She needs a Roth IRA. My parents and me all made a Roth IRA with edward jones at least 6 years ago or more. My mom retired because, she's diabetic. My dad is still working in his 60s and is going to be starting a different job at his current company. Bed, Bath & Beyond went bankrupt and I read the current employees didn't get their 401k so, idk I'll think about it but, I'm really thinking about just using Roth IRA alone maybe if that would be enough for retirement. Plus every time you change jobs you have to create another separate 401k. And if you working 2 jobs like I will be soon after I get a second job then you have 2 separate 401ks.
We bought our house in 2018. If we wanted to purchase the same house today, we couldn't afford it. The reason is because the CPP in conjunction with various hedge funds has bought up almost half the states supply of housing, including apartment complexes. I can't afford a $2.1M house, and I can't even afford a 3br apartment, which is 2 less than we have in the house we could afford to buy 5 years ago, but couldn't afford to buy now. That's the reality of young adults now. It's worse than the Carter administration, and every bit of it is artificial.
Land ownership in America should be restricted to American citizens, period. Furthermore, land should not be allowed to be commoditization beyond a certain degree. If somebody owns a home, wants to move, feels like renting out their old place, fine. But a bank, corporation, or some wealthy _entrepreneur_ buying up entire neighborhoods is inexcusable.
@@azurephoenix9546 China is a big problem but there's a lot more going on as to why the housing prices are insane. It should be illegal to rent a single family home. Single family homes should only be purchased by the people that are going to live in it. Communities need to be built around ownership!

@zimfan101 Most single family homes are not owned by corporations or investors. They are owned by everyday people. Many who aren't looking to get rich but aren't able to sell the house for a variety of reasons. Renting the property can often be a viable option. My family has lived in several areas of the country due to my work, and in only one of them have we owned a house. Having a market for rental properties has allowed us to be in a place that feels much more like a home than living in an overpriced apartment and feeding some greedy corporation. Every house we have rented, we have met and developed a relationship with the owner. I'd much rather put money in their pocket while keeping more money in mine. Obviously, my experience has given me bias, but I just can't see the upside to your argument. The house we currently rent would be unaffordable based on hyperinflated pricing and interest rates. We are saving truck loads by renting.

No foreign entity should be able to purchase land/property, real estate, residences, period. No corporation should be able to buy residences unless they house their own employees only.
I think a tax on unused residential property might make more sense. Leaving a house empty for more than 6 months in a year and you get taxed for that. It would incentivize corporations to try to actually sell them at a price people could afford to stop the homes burning a hole in their wallets. Perhaps reduce income or sales tax to match the new revenue to help people save and prevent this from purely being a tax increase in whatever state implants it.

Not to mention congress votes on whether they get a pay raise or not. We need term limits, no dual citizens allowed to hold office, and lobbying needs to be illegal
Genuine question: why not dual citizenship holding office? Wouldn't being able to live different cultures and systems allow one to pull from a wider pool of information to make more informed choices? You need to pass multiple hoops to gain such status, prove you're worth allowing to be considered a member of that country by learning about the history, laws, ect that way you're not just going to be a mooch off of their system. Some require you living in that country multiple years on a visa before you can even try taking the test to become a dual citizen. Would the limit stop at dual citizenship, since you can be a citizen of more than two countries? Never heard this suggested before, would love to hear more!
When Thomas Edison invented the concrete house (arguably the real origin of Brutalism architecture) one of the benefits was how much more affordable a concrete house was, you would simply set up the mold, with all the embedded utility lines and pour the concrete which could set and cure in less then 2 days, making it possible to build a concrete house in as little as 48 hours (and most if not all of the Edison concrete houses are still standing strong to this day, all without any major repairs/restorations, a stark testament to the durability of concrete construction) the speed and efficiency with which the Edison concrete house could be built, made it possible to sell an Edison concrete house for as little as half the price of timber frame houses of the time, and that house would proceed to then stand for decades or even centuries without any need for repair or general maintenance saving the home owner that much more money over time.

I think I need to add something to my comment: The real mistake my generation made was we didn’t realize our understanding of consequences was not inherent. So, what exactly does this mean? When I grew up (I was a teenager in the 70s), corporal punishment was the norm. My parents, my teachers, even my neighbors, if it was perceived as necessary, was willing and able to dish out physical punishment for bad behavior! So it was crystal clear to me there were consequences for the choices I made! As a result, regardless of what I did when I became a young adult, I knew if I went too far there would be a consequence. And maybe a really painful one at that! Anyway, for me and I’m guessing for many others, we decided to not be as demanding with our kids as if they would just inherently know right from wrong. Why should my kids get their behinds whipped for doing something wrong? I know they know when something is wrong and they will show their maturity and automatically correct themselves! Bullsh*t!!! So, yep, many boomers messed up on the parenting thing. Many of the truly ridiculous things young people are saying and doing is probably a result of their upbringing. That being being said, please believe this message: It may be another’s fault but it will be your pain. If you choose to live your life assigning blame, it will be your life that was wasted. And I can assure you that, provided you survive your mistakes, you will be old before you know it. And looking for someone to be accountable will mean diddly squat if your life sucks…
Wow I’m a boomer and did none of your things. Got a ER doctor son and a manager daughter and 5 grandchildren so alls good here. Speak for yourself not me. If you screwed up your life and your children’s, that’s on you not me.
I've been watching political content for the last 5 years, and I don't think any video has spoke to me more than this one has. I think you beautifully summarize the main issue that we should probably all focus on. Literally every generation below the age of 40 should be uniting to fix this sh*t.
Yeah but in the 1950s houses were what? 24× less expensive relative the the average wage as they are today? And that average wage was easier to attain and didn't require a degree.
lol, no they didn't. Not a single boomer I know owned a home at 18. The men, if they were out of the house, were sharing an apartment with 3 other guys, the women were still living at home if they weren't at college. The boomers could absolutely afford single income homes in their mid and late 20s, yes. Because the moron Feminists hadn't flooded the market with corporate workers to make it so home prices more than doubled and you had to have a dual income to afford a house. Boomers lived through the 60s, two wars where poor men were sent to die in foreign lands. They lived through oil crisis, stagflation, and other economic problems. You people thinking boomers had it so damn easy are pissed at the wrong people. The 1% of the boomers who control our government and most mega corporations are responsible for this. This is no different from saying 'all men...' when it's just a tiny percentage of men. Sincerely, someone who is Gen X, not a Boomer.
@@Okunniger_Volker You think the average wage 70 years ago was the same as today? My mother, in the 80s was being paid about 10 grand A YEAR. At the same job today she would be making 45-55k a year. You young guys have no clue what you're talking about.
Yeah, and imagine how much it would cost if we had to do nother ukraine because China thought we were weak? Bro you crybabies don’t understand aiding our allies is a wise business decision right? It’s not free help either, we receive deals and future revenue because of the aid we give these countries. Ukraine feeds like half the world bro, and Taiwan has the chip manufacturing industry on lock, Israel obviously is practically america in the Middle East (for the most part comparatively lol), literally all of these Allies benefit the us In positive significant ways, but ofc all you read is the headline, not caring about the fact we spend about 8 times that for our own military spending💀 the hypocrisy is real.
@bigrichie6766 thank you, finally someone gets it. Besides that 95 billion would have been used for other military costs if not in the aid of Ukraine and Israel. Its part of budget. People have a severe lack of understanding of how the government spending and budget works. We should rather look at the insane rising debt we have because of social securities, that's in the trillions yet everyone's so focused on this 95 billion.
I feel this. My bring home is around 1400-1700$ and I have to have roommates just to live on my own. I work 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week sometimes on call for weekends and I'm about to lose my car if I don't get another job, I can't afford food as 8 food items is 100$. Lunch meat (2), cheese, cereal (2), milk, toilet paper and water. I'm spending 300-400$ a month just on food that gets me through the week. The price of living would put under most businesses if we had a real minimum wage and that needs to change. But it wont

Corporations shouldn’t be allowed to buy homes
Yet, they're buying up homes and land across America...... 😢
If you have a mutual fund, etf, invested in the stock market, use a bank, pay insurance premiums, your money is going into corporations that invest in all sorts of products, properties and assets. Who decides what money goes where and how much? Big brother? Name that person or authority that is the decider. Welcome to socialism or worse when that day comes.
the fuck do they even need homes for?
To rent to you duh wtf? You think you deserve to own land?
What if I want to own a rental home, so I incorporate into an LLC to manage the property and income so my personal assets are protected from litigation? I understand and agree with your premise, but not all corporations are huge. The law would have to be crafted in such a way where it would be limited to banning private equity firms like Blackrock and Vanguard from owning single family homes.

Its really not y'alls fault. You guys were just living life in a great era. Anyone else wouldve done the same. Are some boomers annoying? Yes. But youre just human beings and i hate to see people hate an entire generation of other people, for what?
I think I need to add something to my comment:
The real mistake my generation made was we didn’t realize our understanding of consequences was not inherent.
That being being said, please believe this message:
It may be another’s fault but it will be your pain.
