Adam thank you for this video it really helped me a lot I got my CDL class A yesterday. Guys when doing your test take your time slow down. Practice, practice that’s key and of course pray good luck to those going to take the test.
Congratulations be safe and enjoy yourself!! And remember whoever you work for their name is not on that license! Companies sometimes they think they own you!🚛
rob robert I've been working on getting my CDLs for quite some time now and can't seem to even pass the permit test but I guess it's due to limited time of study being that I work 8 and 1/2 hours a day have for kids Etc but I won't give up I will keep trying and watching your video it's very helpful I feel like watching your video I will be ready to take the pre-trip before the permit which I know I can't do that's just how helpful your video is
I just started a cdl class. FML! This is the part that scares me most because I know very little about engine parts and components! But at least he physically touches the component or part that he’s explaining so the viewer knows what it looks like! Some vids fail at doing this assuming new drivers know what they are looking for. Will be watching this over and over till I get it
Don't sweat the names of the parts, Battlered. If you forget the name of a part during the Skills Test point to, or touch, the part you are inspecting so that you receive credit for the item. When you are inspecting an item, first observe what the item is made of-metal? plastic? rubber? Metal and plastic parts should be securely mounted and not cracked or broken. Rubber parts should not be split or cut and securely mounted. If any of these parts have a fluid or air inside of them, they cannot be leaking. Follow the flow of the inspection demonstrated by Atom. If you have any questions about backing or driving, hit us up.
Here's to the best class A pre trip video on youtube! It is one of the few complete, clear and easy to understand ones, and not only that, but it is presented so well that you stay entertained and focused.
I’m sure every truck used for CDL testing, have seen their better days. With that said. I’m glad you did this video, despite the condition of the truck. This way, we as trainees, know how to be vocal about any issues we encounter upon our cdl testing with DMV. I commend you!...
I just want to say that i have religiously studied this video for the past 3 weeks and I have passed my class A CDL pre-trip/In cab inspections with flying colors. Thank you so much! I’ll always have this videos in my favorite section. 😂😂😂
WOW!!! Not only is Atom extremely proficient, yet displays a friendly and confident personality. Love his voice inflections, he should do voice overs. I like how the Pre Trip is broken down and categorized and not hashed out all over as I have seen in some handouts from other sources. Naturally my printer is out of ink and I am tight with money so I cannot print it out, but will make detailed notes. I'll download it, but I find I learn best by writing. Thank you again for a excellent tutorial, onwards!
My fiance used this video to prepare for his CDL and was adamant aboht me watching it as well as i get prepared for my test day. I am convinced he is right because i struggled with learning the pre trip until i watched this video! So easy to follow!
I'm currently an owner operator leased on to Mercer and very happy. I still can't thank Adam enough for his chilled personality during this pre-trip demonstration. In 2017, I was struggling to get this whole thing down until I came across this video. Every now and then I look at this video to remind myself where I came from. Hats off to you guys!
I can't explain it, but the way you talk, almost happy go lucky has stuck in my head. I try to go to sleep but your voice doing this video keeps rolling through my head. This video has been a huge help for me to remember this pre trip. I have watched God knows how many of these, I start school at the first of the year and am trying to get a head start. Thanks for the video!!!
Watched this video before my CDL skills test and passed almost 2 weeks ago on my first time. Did forget to mention the dipstick but other than that i passed everything! Definitely a great video and something i would still watch to remind me of things on a pre-trip in a real world situation.
@cdlcollege Passed my CDL test yesterday. Using this exact pre-trip (minus a few things not required here in MD) I breezed through it. I watched it approx a dozen times. The break down of components makes it extremely easy to understand and remember. Absolute A+. Thank you so much Atom. 🙏🙏🙏
I passed my class A test after I watched this video and all other videos of class A such backing, offset and alley ... this Cdl college is super helper.... I would really recommend this
CDL College LLC you're welcome. im not sure if the guy in the video thats doing tbr pretrip is you, but i must say... he is soo chilled when he is doing the pretrip. it makes it much easier to listen and follow what he says
CDL College LLC yes he is. god bless him! anyways i took my pretrip. i nailed most of the items, but i failed my in cab part on the L.A.B. part. i made a mistake and said "i should not lose no more then 3 psi per minute in a combination vehicle" and the examiner had me redo the l.a.b. again. and then i quickly realize my mistake. i said "OH WAIT A MINUTE! IM NOT SUPOOSE TO LOSE NO MORE THEN 4 PSI PER MINUTE IN A COMBINATION VEHICLE " but its too late lol. so now i have take it again. crap! oh well lets try again
One thing's for sure, you'll never make that mistake again. I failed my first test, also. No big deal. Gives you a chance to show the tester that you really do know the Pre Trip. Take your time.
Thank you for your videos, they have helped me pass my testing for my Class A CDL today. I aced the Pre-Trip, Skills, and Road test. The tester kept talking about how well I did on the Pre-Trip, and also said I had “masterful” backing skills. I owe a great part of that to your backing videos as well. Thank you for all you do to help people everywhere like me.
Thank goodness for this video. Every other video was soooo long and they just ramble on . He did it awesome. I can just literally say everything how he did
Just passed my pre-trip inspection thanks to this video!!!! I shared it with everyone that was standing in line for thier pre-trip walk through. Thank you guys so much for the clear, thorough video!!!!
Daniel! Brother man! Congratulations! Very cool of you let us know that this Pre-Trip will pass in Cali. Thanks for viewing, learning, and passing. Stay safe.
You can add me to the list of self learners that passed on the first attempt with many thanks to this video as well as the guides on CDL College. I got hurt over the winter and had essentially one chance before my permit expired and absolutely nailed these tests. Thanks guys!!!!! Best video and materials by far!!!!
I got my CDL thanks to God,that he was there with me all the time, and thanks to this video,I pass the test,I just repeat everything to the DMV lady, she said perfect you pass! Seriously guys try this video,no regrets,it is absolutely a bless.
The best instructor for pre trip I've seen...Adam you rock So calm, thorough and precise. My instructor gave us a list to follow and the verbiage was not sticking but after watching your video I believe I can nail this test. Thank you tremendously.
Metal Parts: cannot be cracked or broken. Rubber Parts: no abrasions, bulges, or cuts. Parts holding air or a fluid: no audible or visible leaks, respectively. The flow of your inspection should be from the top, down and from front to back. When students start jumping around during the Pre Trip, they become confused. Follow the flow and it'll be a piece of cake, Maria. Best of luck to you! And, you're right...Atom rocks!
Passed my Class A on the first attempt. May 2, 2018. This was the only pretrip material that I studied. Tested at the BMV testing center in Middletown, Ohio. Atom (if that’s how it’s spelled), thank you! Excellent video.
You're very welcome! So nice of you to take the time to watch and comment, cdlucas4. Atom is the man and you spelled it correctly. Best of luck to you.
I watched this video and passed my CDL test back in 2018. I lost my CDL so I'm supposed to do everything all over so lm back again and I'm very sure, this is the most well explained Pretrip on UA-cam..
Love this video! Atom you did a great job in this video! Most video talk too much and cover way more than you need. This video covers precisely what they are looking for in your PreTrip Test! Thank you guys for making a video that was easy to understand and in an entertaining teachable way! Another amazing thing of this video is that in the description they have study guides! Great Job! Thanks to y’all I got my cdl class a!!!!!!!!

While I was on my walk, I only listened to the whole video, the instructor does a wonderful job, attitude and all amazing. Had to come back and watch the video to get the full experience.
I want to thx the instructor (Atom) for giving clear directives of the pre-trip inspection.. This has been very helpful for my upcoming test, and with the format he uses it makes for an easy review of the items to be inspected... Great Job Atom...
This is by far the best CDL Class A Pre-Trip Inspection video out there. Love all the acronyms to help you remember and the screens that show what you will be tested on - 5 Part sections (Engine Compartment, Side & Back of Truck, Connections & Trailer, External Light Check, and In-Cab Inspection & Brake Check)Again GREAT JOB on the Video!!!!
Thank you Adam, I took the CDL test yesterday. The tester said I didn't miss anything on the pre-trip. I watched this video several times. You made it easy to remember everything. Thank you again. My test was taken in North Carolina on 5/8/23.

I watched this video multiple times, to prepare myself so I could go to the DMV and get my Class A CDL. Honestly.......if it weren't for me watching this video, I would have had to study the CDL manual! So.......to make a long story short. I'm now a Class A CDL driver in the State of Kansas 👍 Big THANK YOU to this video!
Just wanted to say thank you! This video made it easy to remember. New York State has really cracked down and made it harder to get a CDL. I have had my class B for 5 years and decided to go for my class A. Thanks to this video I passed. Thank you very much
Great video with a great attitude. I drove a few years ago for a few months. Now my wife is interested in going out. I will forward her this video. It was a great mind refresher for me.
I'm Iranian and my english language is not good enough. But since I'm a Truck Lover and really interested in learning driving such a Monster 18 wheels trucks specially Volvo s, I really enjoyed and excited after watching this training video. it was so informative and valuable. I do appreciated.
Great video! Thanks to Adam and the guys at CDL College. I hope you realize how many people this has helped out already. I can’t even understand how anyone could Give this video a thumbs down!
Testing on Wednesday. Ill just be honest and say Ive been slacking on my pre-trip over the past 4 weeks. Simply put, this is the video cheat sheet to it all. Been watching it non-stop for the past 2 days and all ive got left to master is parts of the 5th wheel. Hands down, no question the best video out
Thanks for the comment, Jay. Here's a tip for you: you aren't required to know the NAMES of the parts you are inspecting. You are only required to inspect the correct parts, regardless of what those parts are called. Example: if you point to, or touch, the steering shaft and say "my brake chamber is not broken or cracked, it's securely mounted, and there is no foreign debris in the universal joints". The fact that you called the steering shaft a brake chamber DOESN'T MATTER, because you inspected the steering shaft correctly. The tester does not have a checkbox on his form for the NAME. There is only a checkbox for whether or not you inspected the steering shaft the correct way. Misidentifying parts is OK. Hope that helps.
I have my test tomorrow lets hope I pass and this is by far the best video on pre trip, It has a quick video shows everything and has a downloadable checklist to follow along. Thanks alot
Hello I would like to say thank you 🙏 so much. I watched this video 15 times. I passed my test and got my CDL license. May the Almighty Allah reward you

Your video is absolutely awesome! Thanks again.

Properly mounted and secure. Not cracked bent or broken. No abrasions bulges or cuts. Great video. My favorite of all I have watched. Thank you for making this video
Probably the best video out there for helping someone pass their test. He uses a rhythm that makes it easy to remember everything.
This is the best pre trip I've seen online so far. I like the way he breaks it down into sections, much easier to learn.
Hi, Orlando! Nice of you to take the time to comment. Thank you. Atom is the man, you can learn a lot from him.
Adam thank you for this video it really helped me a lot I got my CDL class A yesterday. Guys when doing your test take your time slow down. Practice, practice that’s key and of course pray good luck to those going to take the test.
Great advice, Martin. Students have more than enough time to complete the test and slowing the pace does help ease some student's nerves.
Illinois gives you only 25 min to complete the pre trip if not they'll fail you.
Thanks for the info
@@jesserincon8262 30 mins in Ohio. Learned that the hard way.. Don't take your time, if you're taking to long, you haven't practiced enough.

rob robert I've been working on getting my CDLs for quite some time now and can't seem to even pass the permit test but I guess it's due to limited time of study being that I work 8 and 1/2 hours a day have for kids Etc but I won't give up I will keep trying and watching your video it's very helpful I feel like watching your video I will be ready to take the pre-trip before the permit which I know I can't do that's just how helpful your video is
Till this day I recommend this video to all of those friends that want to get their CDL. They all have passed the pre trip test. Thanks to you guys 😊
Watching this 3times a day really helps me a lot it prepared me for my test .I passed .thanks so much !
This is the best CDL pre trip inspection video on the entire internet. Thanks to the creators.
CDL College, LLC thanks! Will do!

Great
One of the best video about pre trip inspection. Thanks ADAM Thanks CDL COLLEGE.
Here's to the best class A pre trip video on youtube! It is one of the few complete, clear and easy to understand ones, and not only that, but it is presented so well that you stay entertained and focused.
There is another that is just as well My CDL Buddy is a very good video clear and concise.
No need to find other videos, this is the one. Thanks, i passed my test with following the directions given. 2018!!! Thumbs up!!

THIS!
I just want to say that i have religiously studied this video for the past 3 weeks and I have passed my class A CDL pre-trip/In cab inspections with flying colors.

Best class A video I’ve found. I have my test tomorrow and I feel so much more prepared for this one than my class B thanks to you guys!
The inspection is easy when you follow the FLOW. Top to bottom, front to back. Thank you for watching and commenting, Edward. Best of luck to you.
We're all warm and fuzzy inside over your comment, Miguel. Thank you very much, brother. Stay safe out there.
Thanks for the video!!!
this is the best pre trip I swear everyone else just talks they don't point
That's a great compliment, JJTOP. Thank you. If you perform the pre trip similar to Atom, you'll be fine. Best of luck.

this is by far the best pre trip video that i have looked at. This video is a huge reason why i retained alot of information about the pretrip
Thank you for your comment. Be safe out there!
CDL College LLC you're welcome. im not sure if the guy in the video thats doing tbr pretrip is you, but i must say... he is soo chilled when he is doing the pretrip. it makes it much easier to listen and follow what he says
That's Atom. He's very happy-go-lucky. A great find.
Out of all the pre trip videos I’ve watched on UA-cam this one is by far the best one Ive ever see thank you
I hope maintenance was taking notes

Thank you for your videos, they have helped me pass my testing for my Class A CDL today. I aced the Pre-Trip, Skills, and Road test. The tester kept talking about how well I did on the Pre-Trip, and also said I had “masterful” backing skills. I owe a great part of that to your backing videos as well. Thank you for all you do to help people everywhere like me.
When inspecting the trailer don't forget to check your registration & verify that it is up to date & for that trailer.
Thanks, Roberto!
The examiner should check all your paperwork before doing the pre-trip inspection

The best instructor for pre trip I've seen...Adam you rock
So calm, thorough and precise.
Shoot out place in Illinois makes us say way more than that...crazy amount of verbiage that's hard to remember
I used this video to pass test here in California. Thank you. Received my licence yesterday.

Thanks alot
