Thank you very much for making and sharing these important videos. In my road test, I just did what you showed in the videos , and I passed the exam in the first test. God bless all of you and thank you very much.
I know 1,000 views are from me alone, getting down the terminology and taking notes! Hope I pass my exam!!! Thank you. This video is simple and informative
Taking my test Thursday. Remember for metals objects (BBC) Broken, Bent, or Cracked. For rubber/hoses (ABCDF) Abrasions, Bulges, Cuts, Dry Rot, or Frayed! (PMS) Properly Mounted and Secured. And for anything with hoses going into not leaking.
Did you ask the question, to your school, if you must follow Checklist. Service brake, trailer brake make sense first, due to air lose. You !must communicate what your doing... Remember it's your test, ALE, 1st on list, but should go after, service brake test.
Please again use common sense as well following instructions, ask questions according to your states requirements. Ms Felica is basing pretrip/incab on 2024 state of Il new way
A couple notes. If you mess up ANY part of the AIR PRESSURE test, it's an automatic fail, even if the rest of the pre-trip is perfect. Also you have to start with the air pressure test, not the air brake test (at least thats what I was taught by a licensed examiner). Of course, the CDL test varies depending on the state, and what I just said applies to Missouri so.... yeah. Good luck and practice until you're sick of it.
Dont forget you do not describe hoses or rubber as "cracked bent broken" The rubber is "no abrasions, bulges or cuts". Also safe start where I live is engine in neutral brakes on and chocks set.
I forgot to mention ... the Ohio CDL manual says 20 to 45 psi for the valves to pop out. Probably won't matter for the exam, but in your video you state 20 to 40.
I did a pre-trip on the girl i was with last night, everything passed except: Although It was securely mounted and not broken, there was definitely 2 cracks and 2 holes. one hole was elongated, indicating excessive wear, please advise. is this something that the DOT will put out of service or can i continue and have her repaired at the nearest facility?
Hey Felicia how are you doing, it's really great viewing your videos, I really which to come practice my trucking career over there if I can get help, am in Africa

@@remo9310 I guess. It’s simple. People should be reading their Manuel so they would know 🤯 Getting mad at this woman for free information lol. Read the Manuel people. And let me say this again. Their Manuel FOR THEIR STATE! Trying to hope on UA-cam for fast information. Mind blowing people don’t want to put in the work to drive these big a** trucks.
Hello Felicia and others who helped to make this video! It's been beyond helpful. My only "negative" here, is that at certain points in the video, I can hear someone else saying something. Seems to be just during the in cab portion. Not sure if there's a way to edit out that person talking, but it would be less distracting. But again ... thank you so much for this extremely helpful video!!!
You need to get a DOT physical done to drive a CMV. They're not super expensive but not cheap either. Some really big companies will pay for you to get a DOT physical before they bring you in for training. Hope this helps!
In my state you have to pass airbrakes in cab pretrip inspections. In order to move to yard movements skills test. You have to pass that to move to the road test then pass to become licensed in class A license.
wonderful 😍🥰 I really Love Felicia training and instruction videos . I'm an Iranian guy and computer networking engineer. But I wish i could live and work in USA and attend in her Class A training course. Her English accent for me that my mother language is Persian is clear enough to understand most critical points and her patient and professional attitude persuade me to change my job from networking to Driving heavy load trucks . i wish i had this chance to see her and fully train according to US roads policies under her supervision.😭😢I wish ,,, I wish,,,, I wish.... I do appreciated Felicia for your wonderful and informative video files. Best Wishes Ma'am🙌

Love you❤. Thanks for the video.
This might be the best pre-trip video to share with my students so far! Thanks, Oracle Lady! 💖
This is the best video on PRE - TRIP inspection (CLASS A) on youtube. Thank you so much for sharing these videos!
Thank you! Finally someone went slow enough and pointed clearly so I could understand. ( New student)
Air loss test must be first in Texas. Failed today because I did it in the order of the video, not a big deal I will pass next time!
Really? Texas person here and I have my appointment the 11 of July
Good luck next time

In Missouri did you get to have the sheet with you? I’m wondering if it is the same
For
Texas
You are by far the best keep trucking sister!
Thank you Felicia for the best and most detailed explanation.
En iyi, en ayrıntılı anlatım için teşekkürler Felicia
I haven't took mine yet but I've been told that you're supposed to put your seatbelt on as soon as you enter the truck before you do anything else
I'm studying in new jersey. they gave me 10 pages of text. and there are so many details. definitely ohio is easier.
The best video and the best instructor!
Thank you for such a good video, this was awesome, it is helping me out alot
Thank you! Your video is awesome!
This pretrip inspection was very good and thorough.
Thank you !
I fail today on first part of pre trip inspection and reason was I didn't put those leather mounts before and ahead of truck front tyre's 😢
I take my test in a couple days I've been nervous for the past few days
Great job 👏🏿

This pre trip apply for Texas too
If you’re windshield was cracked longer then an inch you would be put out of service which is important to mention
So you can carry the checklist with you during the test? I was told you can’t use a checklist!
Yes, you can have the checklist if you ask the examinar at the beginning.
check with your state, PA we were NOT allowed to (in 2021)

In Massachusetts there is no mistakes no start at beginning if you miss 1 thing u fail
This video is for Ohio read title of video.
thank you for the formal pre trip demo
man ya'll get a checklist now!?? I had no paper, had to memorize all the verbal parts 😭
They shoulda never made you do that it makes more sense to be able to look at something and check if something stops working on road
I passed today!!!!!

How is that her fault. Did you pay attention in school? Are you guys in the same state? That’s your fault for relying on UA-cam. Read the manual.

You're 100% wrong bet you didn't say air pressure was 120 to 140. Most people forget to mention that. If you don't automatically fail.
Your school should have given you a checklist to go by and it should show to speak about the air or hydraulic brake check first
If you watch this video over and over again you will pass. Also should be reading the handbook. I read page by page.
So do you have to commit that whole check sheet to memory?
Does this video help for California
Airbag are included?
Is this just for Ohio or is it for all states?

can you take the pretrip inspection and the skills test on different days like the permit tests?
nope, 3 part test, pre trip, road test and backing

Rule number 1: put your seat belt!

Doing brake leak test parking and trailer knobs has to be pushed in !?! NNO?? ...And seat belts on
No??
I was thinking the same…. Even the manual says push both valves in

Could you share with us the check list file ?
