Love the video but still big opportunities for more detail here. I have 3 JP SCS, and 2 of them are in the 300blk suppressed SBR and pistol. The SBR has a Law Folder on it, and the piece that adds the extension is right at 1oz; so, it is bumping you up a full buffer weight. So if you have JPSCS-15 and throw the Law extension on, you now effectively have an H1. With 300blk, you are gas poor a lot of the time with subs; so, I would love to see 1) even lower powered springs and 2) more advice on how to tune with low backpressure cans like CAT, PTR, Hux, etc. 300blk is pretty much confined to pistol length gas (some micro out there); so, recommendations based on can and dwell time for barrel length with a specific 300blk spring kit would be amazing. I’m not saying the only value to the SCS is the reduction/elimination of “sproing,” but that is a big reason to consider the SCS over significantly less expensive and interchangeable traditional buffers and springs. Solving for that part of an ever-growing market of suppressed 300blk short barrels seems to make a lot of sense.

If 2 steel, 1 tungsten = H 1 steel, 2 tungsten = H2 3 tungsten = H3 Then what is the H rating for the all 3 steel rings that come in the JPSCS2-15 package? I have a 16”, 5.56 non-adjustable gas block and I want rapid cycling for rapid firing without the heavy recoil. Which configuration will work best?
What setup did you go with on the weights if you don't mind me asking? I'm building a 16" and like to be able to rapid fire with least amount of recoil aswell. Thanks in advance
Ammo used in this was Hornady Black 208 grain A-Max (Subsonic) & It's a Custom Built AR Pistol I built from top to bottom. My issue is I got one of these for my 10'' 300 blk out, in H2 weight config. My plan is to suppress it at some point. HOWEVER, if you dont supress it with the H2 config (2 titanium, 1 steel) EVEN with a adjustable gas block. I could get it to extract the shell casing but not rack another round without having to manually do so. I'm guessing this is a spring issue as in spring weight is to heavy? OR is it i can use the spring that came with it and i need to use 3 steel weights so its standard until i suppress? Very frustrating day at the range. AFTER watching more of this video I'm seeing its a weight issue....thank god I ordered the SS Weights yesterday and I'll be changing those out to run subs even though at this time I'm not running it suppressed just yet. I also already have the spring set cause i bought it with the scs when i got it. So I'll start with the SCS Weight change to 3 Stainless to try and get the bolt to rack another round and achieve lock back (without manually locking bolt to the rear). If need be like you said do a 95% weight spring and go from there. THANKS!!!!! Helps out a lot!
I installed a JP "standard", My AR 15 began to "double feed - one in the chamber and one in the bolt chamber. I do have an Adjustable gas block on the gun before installing the "standard" JP..
Would that be from serious "Bolt Bounce", causing the bolt to slam forward so hard, it bounces back far enough to feed another round? Is this scenario caused by the spring being too stiff, weight being too light, or both? Did you find a solution? Thanks in advance for any replies. Cheers
I have a 12.7 x 42 .50 cal Beowulf 10.5" barrel with a pistol length gas block and an AR 15 lower, what size weight would you recommend as a starting point with one of your SCS's?
Yes, the slide passes through the rear of the bolt, so the 9MM bolts with weights will need to be removed. The weight required changes according to your setup. Give us a call and we can help you find the best for your setup. 651-426-9196
Which one do you recommend for a faxon light weight BCG? Also, would I need an Adjustable Gas Block as well as the JP buffer spring for a lightweight BCG or would the JP system be all I need?
I just got mine in but now I'm questioning if it's the right one. I'm running a 16 inch with an h2 currently, suppressed and a radian suppressor charging handle. No shorty stock but standard buffer tube. The only difficulty saw was the polymer end am I wrong?
I am having issues with some rounds not chambering completely using the standard captured spring. I ordered a couple of tungsten weights to see if that helps.
Make sure your scs moreso your buffer tube is installed far enough into your lower. Depending on that info you might need to thread the buffer in a turn or two, could even throw a quarter in the buffer as a shim to move the scs so it has good contact with the BCG when closed
I have stock Tokarev TBP 12 I am look to install a JP Enterprises Silent Captured Recoil Buffer Spring Assembly. I would like to know which you would recommend.
What do I need for a DD Mk18 and RC2 suppressor and a folding Law T pistol brace? 10H or the 15H?? I ordered a sprinco blue and a H2 buffer and then saw this. I was going to use the stock carrier that is at .70 but need to know if you guys suggest an adjustable carrier bolt or something else. I want to able to run both unsuppressed and suppressed as cleanly as possible. Semi auto.
I just ordered a JPSCS2-10H2 and spring kit for an 8.6 Blackout carbine build (16" barrel). I used a Geissele Super 42 spring and H2 buffer. I didn't install an adjustable gas block. I have one so if necessary I can change out the gas block. It ejects but dents the case mouth, the case lands at about the 1 to 2 o'clock position, and the bolt doesn't lock back on the last round. I weighed the buffer and it weighs 4.3 oz. My form 4 for a Dead Air Primal is at least 6 - 7 months out based on current status info. I plan to shoot this suppressed all of the time but shooting the Gorilla Ammunition supersonic loads, or my reloads, aren't off the table. The info on your site says the weight is 6.6 oz. Is that assembly weight or buffer weight? I'm looking forward to trying your system.
My Carbine buffer (Savage MSR15 Patrol) weight is 2.8oz. My brass is being tossed closer to the 5 O’clock position than 4-4:30. Should I go to a H or H1 Buffer? All I shoot is NATO spec 5.56.
I think there's so many other companies doing the same thing but i feel with them you get what you pay for and they just look and feel cheap in comparison.
I was thinking about getting one of these SCS systems. Im running 16" 223/556 Carbine Gas System with Springco Blue & Spikes T2 Buffer (4oz). Right now it ejects at about 3oclock and as long as im not running TulaAmmo it doesnt have any feeding issues. What size SCS do you guys recommend H or H2?
You could run the Standard or the H2 for this depending on your personal preference/rifle setup. Give us a call if you want help narrowing it down more than that. 651-426-9196
@@JPRifles thanks for reply. I bought the standard. Rifle isn't complete yet but after it's built and I get it tuned ill just order the Tungsten weight if needed. Thanks
I have a 8.3" 300 blackout. Running subsonics mostly suppressed but would like for it to run unsuppressed at times. What buffer weight would you recommend?
Bolt bounce will topically move the bolt out of battery just enough so on the next shot you get a light firing pin mark on your primer and you end up with a misfire.
i have a suppressed 10.5 with a silencerco specwar. it gases me out like crazy gets in my eyes chokes me out. i have your JPSCS2-15K-H2 kit with the lightest spring installed on it. my gun runs with my adjustable gas block open 1 click away from fully open if i go 1 click more closed it dosent run. should i get a heavier buffer or put a heavier spring in it. id love to bring that gas down to where im not getting so choked out i can only run half a mag before my eyes are burning.
question , i am using an adjustable gas block and will sometimes use a supressor. its woudl be a small frame caliber same setup but for large frame, which system would you recommend? Thanks

.458 socom running 350gr to 405 grain full power handloads. What product show I select for a 16" mid length .750 fsb gas block and a2 birdcage(5.56) also using areo precision bcg and as for ammo used it's. 55 for range with friends and 75-77gr when using rest of time
Where is the best place to start to get the softest shooting 3 gun rifle? Currently running 16", lightweight BCG, adjustable gas block, standard weight SCS. If I would tune this to be even better what would you recommend? Gas, buffer weight, buffer springs?
JPRifles! QUESTION! Will you eventually make one that works with the folding adapters like from Sylvan Arms and LawTactical? From the way they seem to work I didn't think they'd work with that plug being in the way. Thanks! ✊🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What spring power to go with on the jpscs? My friend has a adams arms non adjustable mid length piston AR in 14.5” with adams lightweight carrier that reduces the bcg weight by 2 ounces compared to a milspec bcg. Should they just use the ejection pattern chart to make a proper buffer weight and spring combination? He is looking to reduce recoil and is wondering if paired with the lightweight bcg if you go with h2 buffer with standard spring or go lighter buffer weight and/or lighter buffer spring as well. Any input is greatly appreciated! I’m thinking h2 with the 80 or 85 spring due to the lightweight bolt carrier?
What about gas operated ARs like the DDM4 v7 from Daniel Defense suppressed? Would the small frame 15H2 be the correct one even though it’s a gas operated rifle?
Go to Loctite's website or Google it. Since there are several varieties of Loctite, each one has its own procedure for removal. Example; Blue doesn't need any heat to remove it and is considered temporary. Red does need a certain amount of heat in order to remove screw/pin/etc.., and is considered permanent. There are other colors that represent different attributes according to environment they are used in. Example; high heat/damp/water exposure/etc.. I would start with the Red Loctite removal temperature and go from there. You can pick up a marker style pen that's called a "Temperature Stick". They are found at welding supply stores, (maybe hardware stores too), that will only melt at set temperatures, whicheavea a mark on the item once it reaches that markers set temperature. If you get a 200 degree marker, it will begin melting/marking the item once it reaches 200 degrees. They are very cheap in case you don't have a infrared thermometer or other devices to check temperature readings. I would recommend getting another temp marker that's 50 or 100 degrees less than the set temperature you need. This is just so you can have an indication of when you are getting close to your set temperature, preventing you from overheating the item any more than necessary. Sorry it turned into a book, lol, but it may help others. Temperature Markers are basically unknown to the mass majority. Cheers
Is there an option so if I'd like to swap from suppressed to non suppressed without having to switch the buffer or have another one of these on standby? Honestly not the biggest fan of the old fashioned flexing all over the place buffer springs and like how this system is a solid piece that isn't going to flop around if anyone has any idea what would work best honestly I don't care about recoil or anything like that regardless of recoil or anything else I just man handle the shit out of my rifle to the point the end of my shit ain't gonna move regardless if I'm shooting .22 all the way up to 308win. Like I said I just want all of my equipment to be solid and not warping everywhere and the way this one looks honestly looks solid enough I could cut an area out for it in my rifle case to set it in there if I need to buy 2 I guess I can have 2 different cut out sections and find a way to label which is which.
My bcg cycles, ejects and locks back flawlessly but when I rapid fire it I can only get 5 or maybe 6 rounds off rapidly before it pauses. The bcg is forward, round is chambered but I get to 5 or 6 fast trigger pulls and the next fast trigger pull nothing happens but then the very next fast trigger pull it fires. It’s like it skips a trigger pull ever 5 shots approximately. Normal shooting it fires the entire magazine flawlessly. What is causing this to happen? It’s an LWRCI 300 black out shooting 110 grain with the stock H2 buffer and spring. I’m firing as fast as I can pull the trigger when this happens. It’s a new AR so if anyone knows please tell me what I can do differently, thank you.
It eliminates all the extra friction of the standard buffer spring scraping along the inside of the tube. So, shooting with it is smoother and less noisy. It's also reconfigurable and tunable so you can dial in the buffer system for your particular rifle as well as tweak the cyclic rate to what you like.
What do you recommend for a Ballistic Adavantage 14.7 inch barrel on a rifle geared tword duty use, with Federal 55 grain Tactial bonded? Don't care about the noise. A soft shooting gun would be nice, but it's secondary to reliability. I'm assuming the barrel isn't short enough to qualify as an SBR.
Has anyone actually sound tested these setups? Assuming you’re suppressed and subsonic do we actually have data that proves the overall sound of the action is quieter with these? And like quieter enough to be more ghostly than the next guy.
Why can’t you guys just do a video showing these systems NOT explaining it because explaining it isn’t helping. I’m the type of guy that needs to see it….. also you seriously need to start with the LF rifles. You say ultimately its the users parameters I guess maybe this system was a bit to advance for me. I own the SCS and the JP BCG to for my 308 AR but I just don’t know enough about it to trust it enough. Also is it normal for a 500+ dollar BCG to have the finished come off after the first cleaning????? Because I swear I have a brand new JP BCG with 5 rounds on it I still have all the original packaging and the DLC finished came of the dam thing wth is that???? Actually I think I’m going to do a video about this issue myself.
Was supposed to be some magic you used I have a rifle length gas tube and a guieslie super 42 H, witch is the same as an H 1. Your talking about 3 Ounces? And extra springs. So it's hit and miss. This seem stupid

What setup did you go with on the weights if you don't mind me asking? I'm building a 16" and like to be able to rapid fire with least amount of recoil aswell. Thanks in advance
A PCC buffer/captured would be nice. Especially if one was 1cm longer than standard carbine unit.
So much great information
So running with s 11.5 barrel i need a h2? Just play with the springs to see what best fite my liking?
Looking for a Silent Capture to go into my HBPDW for 300Blk. Any suggestions?
Thank you 😊
What about 9mm? Want to upgrade my Aero EPC for competition. Do I need a JP BCG or is the Aero EPC BCG ok?
I installed a JP "standard", My AR 15 began to "double feed - one in the chamber and one in the bolt chamber. I do have an Adjustable gas block on the gun before installing the "standard" JP..
Would that be from serious "Bolt Bounce", causing the bolt to slam forward so hard, it bounces back far enough to feed another round? Is this scenario caused by the spring being too stiff, weight being too light, or both? Did you find a solution? Thanks in advance for any replies. Cheers
Good explanation , tganks
Excuse me, my ar15 is LWRC IC-A5, the original buffer is an H2 one, which item should I choose is better?
I have a 12.7 x 42 .50 cal Beowulf 10.5" barrel with a pistol length gas block and an AR 15 lower, what size weight would you recommend as a starting point with one of your SCS's?
Send us an email to Tech@jprifles.com and we can get one of our experts to help you
ok ..do you have to remove the bolt carrier weight .. what the best weight for a 9mm direct blowback system ?
Yes, the slide passes through the rear of the bolt, so the 9MM bolts with weights will need to be removed. The weight required changes according to your setup. Give us a call and we can help you find the best for your setup. 651-426-9196
Should I get the h2 if im also getting a low mass bolt carrier for an ar-10
Semi auto.
I believe you are looking for the H2-LAW. It sounds like a specific request, reach out to tech@jprifles.com.
What spring would yall put in a maxim defense pdx with a frt trigger?
Which colored spring is considered to be called “heavy”? For a 13.9 .223 gun . Running with a h2 buffer scs
Where can I find this jp flow chart? Can't seem to find it with Google
which do I use for 10.5 300 Blk with Law Tactical folding brace
I'm looking forward to trying your system.
can i put one of these in my sig mcx spear lt?
what about a 18" SPR with Rifle Length Gas System and with a Carbine Length Buffer Tube. Start with H1 ?
My Carbine buffer (Savage MSR15 Patrol) weight is 2.8oz. My brass is being tossed closer to the 5 O’clock position than 4-4:30. Should I go to a H or H1 Buffer? All I shoot is NATO spec 5.56.
Shoot us an email at Tech@jprifles.com
Doing it right now!
I think there's so many other companies doing the same thing but i feel with them you get what you pay for and they just look and feel cheap in comparison.
These are an absolute NIGHTMARE to take out of the buffer tube!
They have their own detent to fix this
A small pick works great. Harbor freight 2.99 4 pack the straight pick just bend the end a little , and it's a breeze.
Does anyone know if the Gen2 scs screws be reversed? The only two screws on the Gen2 scs.
How about providing a link to the flow chart? The link in the notes above goes to a list of all the buffers but no flow chart (that I can find).
Flow chart is about half way down the Selection guide. jprifles.com/document_pdfs/SCS%20Selection%20Guide_880.pdf
@@JPRiflesGot it. Thanks so much.
Thanks
Look at the JP silent captured spring if you want to take your build to the next level
Not enough talk about the large platform. Cool video though. I love JP products
Do you make one for the Maxim PDW?
I have a 8.3" 300 blackout. Running subsonics mostly suppressed but would like for it to run unsuppressed at times. What buffer weight would you recommend?
you need the standard scs 15, id get the extra springs as well for further options.
JP flow chart says H1
One thing I'm not sure I understand...when is bolt bounce an actual problem on semi auto rifles?
What's the has port size?
Did you figure out your problem? If so what was the fix?
I'm looking at acquiring a 300 HMR. It mimics a 30-30 WIN. What would you suggest for a spring rate?
question , i am using an adjustable gas block and will sometimes use a supressor. its woudl be a small frame caliber same setup but for large frame, which system would you recommend? Thanks

What's the lightest buffer weight you can configure it? I'm currently running a 1.7oz buffer. Rolls the brass out in a nice neat pile about 2' from me at 4:00. I have run a .59 oz buffer but never could get the bolt velocity low enough to feed reliably.

What would you guys recommend for a 6arc, 24" +1 gas with adjustable gas block? A standard 3 SS mass version?
What product show I select for a 16" mid length .750 fsb gas block and a2 birdcage(5.56) also using areo precision bcg and as for ammo used it's. 55 for range with friends and 75-77gr when using rest of time

Where is the best place to start to get the softest shooting 3 gun rifle? Currently running 16", lightweight BCG, adjustable gas block, standard weight SCS. If I would tune this to be even better what would you recommend? Gas, buffer weight, buffer springs?
Hi, I'm wondering what setup you ended up with if you don't mind me asking? Building a 16" aswell thanks in advance
JPRifles!
Yes the 15H2 (JPSCS2-15H2) is the model we would suggest for that rifle with a suppressor.
Is there anything that makes this family of rifles not annoying when using earpro. I HATE boinging bullets.
Thanks for a very helpful video. What temperature to heat the allen head screw to melt the loctite?
Cheers
**SPELLING CORRECTION**
"melts at set temperatures, WHICH LEAVES a mark on the item...." ** NOT "whicheavea a " .lol. wtf? Sorry bout that. Lol

No need to switch back and forth, you can tune the gun to run with or without the suppressor.
what about .45acp suppressed with an 8in barrel?
Has anyone ran this system with a enhanced LMT BCG? I have one already and didn't want to buy another bcg if not needed
What about adding weight to the bcg? In combination with the buffer system
We already have that option with our VMOS bolt carriers.
Did you ever figure out your issue?
I wonder witch one works for MR556..

What actually does the buffer do , what are the benefits ??
Thanks 👍
It eliminates all the extra friction of the standard buffer spring scraping along the inside of the tube. So, shooting with it is smoother and less noisy. It's also reconfigurable and tunable so you can dial in the buffer system for your particular rifle as well as tweak the cyclic rate to what you like.
@@JPRifles ....I may check 1 out and I'll call for expertise help with my rifle specs ...
Thank You
What do you recommend for a Ballistic Adavantage 14.7 inch barrel on a rifle geared tword duty use, with Federal 55 grain Tactial bonded? Don't care about the noise. A soft shooting gun would be nice, but it's secondary to reliability. I'm assuming the barrel isn't short enough to qualify as an SBR.
Are these really worth the money?
Yes
Can i run one of these in a HBPDW from SB tactical?
Look into the maxim pdw brace / stock. Jp and maxim have a proprietary silent capture spring system for that.
What about rifles with an A5 recoil system?
We make an A5 spacer that you would use with the Silent Captured Spring system.
I can't find the flow chart!
This should help!

Has anyone actually sound tested these setups? Assuming you’re suppressed and subsonic do we actually have data that proves the overall sound of the action is quieter with these? And like quieter enough to be more ghostly than the next guy.
We test everything!
Sounds like a lot of issues. Heating bolts. Multiple parts. Screwed together. 😩
Interesting. Make the video. I want to see this.
Why does it have to cost so much? $50 tops. What do these cost to make, $10?
what configuration to replace a ar-15 rifle buffer you recommend?
Was supposed to be some magic you used
I have a rifle length gas tube and a guieslie super 42 H, witch is the same as an H 1. Your talking about 3 Ounces?
And extra springs.
So it's hit and miss.
