    Your tutorials are excellent! This device comes with no instructions so for a beginner you can imagine the frustration of trying to learn how to use it. Looking at all sorts of videos that are useless at explaining in detail. Good work. This helps.

      ogb0ldsoul a.k.a BillyTheButcha Yeah I picked one up in the end! Figured out the basics but haven't dived deep yet, it's endless, but lots of fun to play with. Recommend it for beginners after all, its fairly easy to get to grips with and start making things, and having it hands on with the controller rather than using mouse and computer is great.

      How is it going for you? I’m in the same boat, and I’ve yet to find any beginner tutorials that I can follow. I’ve been desperately searching for months, and no one seems to have produced any primers that explain things clearly and comprehensively, from the very beginning. Even the tutorials that profess to be beginner-level are excruciatingly confusing and frustrating. Good luck with your quest to learn Maschine. I’m nearly ready to give up, I’m afraid. I wish that weren’t the case, but I’m getting nowhere here. Good luck!

    Man that was a thourough breakdown and explanation of the unit. One thing i would love to know if yourself or anyone can answer: can you/are you able to rip audio/bits from any movie/music track, audio or video recording and use in the MK3 with the Maschine software?

    • @DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert
      @DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert  4 роки тому +1

      You can but you need to think about how it's routed and set up an aggregate.
      I personally would just use something like AIRY and then import it into Maschine to edit.

      @@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert yes exactly. I'm very new to this so i cant explain my problem well. When one first starts testing out the sounds on pad mode, i switch to keyboard to get different pitches from the original sound. But when i go back to pad mode, it is the original sound that plays and not the pitch i last pressed.

      no worries just wanted to make sure I had the issue correct. Once to found the note you like in keyboard mode, go back to pad mode, press the Instrument you want and at the top you will see octave and semitone + and - when you press these you will see on the left hand screen "base note" and voila :-)

    Is there a way to see the names of the chords? I play let's say Main scale, major harmonized type 1-3-5 pad no1 that happens to be the root, also. I can see the lights indicating what notes are played, but I can't see the name of the chord anywhere. Also in Chord Set mode, I can't seem to have the option to select to play only diatonic chords to the scale highlighted on the pad. Do I miss anything..? A way of figuring this is to actually go on Harmonized, recored the chords one at a time, then drag the midi into LogicPro and check there the names of the chords....they are accurately formed in Maschine, but it's such a pain to figure their names...unless, again, I miss something...Cheers!

    Excellent cohesive tutorial. I look forward to watching the others. Given that I have 128g on my Mac I notice some clicks and pops and wanted to load the sounds on my Glyph drive. It’s a few years old and has an esata as well as fw400 and fw800. Would you know if loading and running the samples from an external drive, or in this case utilizing an esata to thunderbolt adapter on my glyph would work proficiently? Would love to see a tutorial on creating ones own sample banks.

    great tutorl. Just bought mine and im using it for live performances not really beat making. using the groups to store the stems of my tracks. having an issue though when I hit a certain pad it plays the stem on top of each other, then it sounds like 5 drums stems at once, instead of it triggering like a one shot. how do I fix that?

    • @DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert
      @DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert  2 роки тому

      Thanks Jeffrey.
      You must have the groups set up the same so they all trigger at once. Change it so the stems are in their own group and that should fix it

      You can always drag and drop using the mouse but this will move it instead of copy. But it's none destructive so you can reload the group and it will go back to normal.

    Great tutorial mate. But use a proper sound to demonstrate the chords/notes. All the kicks sound the same. Thank you got a great tutorial. 😃👍🏽

    I think it would be better if you flip-flopped the windows, it's difficult to see exactly what you're doing on the (Maschine3).
    Also, the money we spend on this - $599. ,plus all the sounds @ $50 a pop. one might expect some better quality instructions.

      Hi John thanks for your comment. I agree about the picture in picture and that’s why I changed it in the later videos.

    Explaining Keyboard mode and Cord mode with a bass drum, it couldn't get any clearer...LOL Why load not up a piano?...Also your MK3 is way over exposed. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial!

    Why not use something other than drums to explain the keys, chord and step function. This video could be very confusing to beginners.
