      Create an internal sample of you playing the cords you'd like then use auto chop to lay them back into your maschine pads.

      @@Hooeyhokum only problem with this is that your using an audio module instead of the instrument or synth. so you cant adjust any of the settings as you play on the fly... been tryin to wrap my head around a work around for weeks tryin to figure this out....

    Baffling that you can’t use your own chord sets! It would be such an easy firmware update too!

    @Jef Gibbons I know it's not the same as an inversion, but when in chord set mode, I sometimes play with the white buttons on top to change the octave of the whole cord on the fly, or tease into the target chord by going a halftone deeper and then play the actual chord. It's fun! Just like your great videos...:)

    Lol. I usually just stick with minor Triads.I’m mostly making Dub and Dub techno or some sort of Electronic genre (Recently some Future Garage Hybrid) I use chords and scales on Maschine a lot as well as on my Novation keyboard.It really has changed and helped how I write tracks.I Have been trying a few more complex chords and suggestions from scaler 2 when I Use it. Still trying how to use things like this in my workflow. Its clear you really understand this stuff as a Jazz keyboardist. Thanks for the tutorial and tips! Will play around with it more on Maschine next time I start working on something.

I have a Novation 49SL MK3 connected to the Midi Ports, is that just a waste of time, or is it needed in order for them to communicate with one another? In the video you showed a M32 Keyboard/Midi Controller and you were able to use it along with the Maschine. Thank you and I look forward to hearing your response. Best Always -HFgoodvibes

Would like to export elements from cubase and M2 back to MPlus, (and if that might involve turning tracks into audio only, not sure). And maybe how Expansions might work in cubase too, as it relates to S49ll and MPlus. you may have covered this already. Well anyway.... lol you are the best!

    Hi Jef, Thanks for yet another great video!! I fully agree with your number uno request, -Maschine really really needs the feature enabling the user to define their own chords/chrodsets either from a predefined chordlist or just by pressing keys on a connected midi keyboard. It's a totally nobrainer, I would be really simple to implement -thrust me, I'm a c++ programmer myself... -I really can't figure out why these sleepy germans in Hamburg don't get it...But it's just like their car industry...They think that they are on top of everything, while they are getting overhauled by everyone.... Just take a look on AKAI, they are way ahead....Lot better chord features, better drum pads, and MUCH MUCH larger displays. But again, thanks for at super video! -we want more please! :-) :-) :-)

    I dont understand the benefit of having a major or minor chord set as in a given scale you would have both. Noth one or the other in isolation.

    • @jefgibbons
      @jefgibbons  2 роки тому +1

      There’s a difference between playing in C Major and in A minor… many chords are emphasized differently so they give you more options for the important ones… and the minor keys can have major or minor V chords. Really becomes important in the jazzier sets of chords.

    • @gorkemgulan
      @gorkemgulan 2 роки тому

      @@jefgibbons thats for the reply. What i meant to say is why are all major and minor chords bundled together whereas in any scale you would have a combination of the two. I like the option of having variety of chords but to make it useful one would need to sample a major and minors seperately and put them in a sampler and work around like you did.

    This is another reason MPC is far superior to Maschine. You can add custom chord progressions, arpeggios and midi sets. I've been wanting to try mk3 (used $300 w software incl) but even a used MPC One for $400 blows Maschine away.
