Absolutely beautiful, man. This has been inspiring me for months now. Just started to do similar work. Any tips for colour grading this kind of stuff? Any luts or something specific that you used? Thanks man!
Thanks much! Just trying to observe people and perspectives. Great organization! For color I am really not great, sometimes I use various LUTs to get the right contrast and basic color, but here I probably worked with it a while until it seemed right... hope that helps!
Beautifully shot and edited, dude. You found the right soundbites, the right corresponding footage. Your composition's great, the color grade is great. Ugh! Just everything about this is great! I was kinda sad it was only four and a half minutes long lol.
Absolutely brilliant! Your work is such an inspiration for the style I try to achieve. I was wondering what your approach was for audio? I saw you used a Shure mic. What was your post-production process like? Definitely some of the crispiest voice over stuff I've heard in a while. Any tips on recording or and/ or mixing? :) Thanks man 💪💪
Tama, thanks for reaching out! For this I used that Shure 55 (old school mic) and focused on getting it placed close to the source. I am not the greatest mixer but always think capturing the best signal is number one... hope that helps!
Bobby Pitts thanks! Looks like this was filmed handheld? So clean and great feel...Have you found any success in shoulder rigs or stabilizers for the c200 in your time with the camera??
Tosin Oduwole thank you! It came together nicely without a producer. I filmed and edited solo, great opportunity to work with the incredible people in this film
Sorry if this has been asked before but what mic are you using for the interview audio? The sound in this video, as well as the visuals, are incredible! You’re very talented
wow thanks! super nice im glad you enjoyed. I used a Shure Super 55 microphone. Its fairly unconventional for something like this, but because I was not using a normal interview shot, I just set it on the desk in front of him...
