Looks great. Nice job!
This looks fantastic man.
Thank you. (nice nickname by the way :). Cheers Rob/slashCAM
If anyone was wondering what classic canon colors look like. Here you go! They don’t make anything like this anymore.
stand out! pumped up!
That looks amazing.
Hi Jake - thanx. Cheers Rob
Nice colors organic tones Cool
Very impressive. 👌🏻
Hi Morgan - thanx!
Al día de hoy me recomendarias la C200 sobre la Pocket 6k?
Clarification on exactly which LUT you used would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Hi B. it was the official 64 grid LUT WIDE DR from Canon - the super exact LUT (long name) is in the English review: www.slashcam.de/artikel/Test/Canon-EOS-C200-review---skintones--Cinema-RAW-Light--Dual-Pixel-AF--handling-and-more.html - sorry - copy paste does not work at the moment here ...
Does this do autofocus in 60p?
Nice stuff. Did you convert the raw file using the Canon SW or you just dropped the clips into Resolve? The color space of the raw videos should be RAW gamout and the gamma is RAW gamma (from clip info in the canon software). The profile settings in camera do not affect the raw output (whether you shoot in log 3 or BT.709 you get the identical raw file). I have asked the technical support at Resolve and they believe that the Profile picture settings are just an in camera LUT for the raw files.
When Resolve debayers the raw file, the source gamma is not log 3 nor log nor log2. It is probably raw gamma, which is similar to log2. You can verify this by comparing the as imported raw footage with pro-res files exported from the canon software (try the three gamma options). Have you done any tests in this direction? Because of this, I believe the closest LUT that should be used is the one from log2 to BT.709. Things should get better as soon as the resolve developers make the raw panel available for the C200 files.
I'm in the early stages of finding this out too. Resolve does not seem to interpret the raw properly.. Well, not like the Canon developer anyway.
does dualpixel autofocus work in 4k 60p?
yes
Yes. :)
amazing colors and skin tones, just to know, how much the footage "weights" ?
Song name/composer?
CAN ANYONE TELL ME does dual pixel autofocus still work when shooting in 60fps??? ANYONE?
I would love to know. Definately didnt work in the original firmware from what i gathered...
yes
Yes it does
There are a ton of canon luts. Did you use the 1d lut that is 10 bit c log 3 to bt709? When I use that one, it comes out oversaturated and contrasty. Did you change the opacity or % of lut application?
For LUTS used and more have a look at our C200 review in English: www.slashcam.de/artikel/Test/Canon-EOS-C200-review---skintones--Cinema-RAW-Light--Dual-Pixel-AF--handling-and-more.html
I prefer the skin tone of C200 over the terra 6k
really it is matter of taste i like kinefinity colors more to the movies style . here c200 we did not see color as such.
Try Ursa Mini 4.6K Pro.🤔?????????
Jose Oviedo I sold mine for this - the DP autofocus is to die for
Good Lord this cost more than my kidney.
It might sound really crappy of me to say this but damn you have an almost 10,000 camera and cheap lenses. Definitely not the way I would go. Yes, you can produce beautiful content with the cheapest camera or cheapest lenses but i would definitely choose glass over camera.
marco abraham in the case of today’s sensors - all you have to do is use Google - still be Cinema (the top DPs can’t tell but they have MANUAL features such as aperture etc that’s really all - I own canon still lenses and Otus and Canon Cinema Primes... you won’t better a significantly better image then above us in any other lens.
He is using kit lenses with this camera which kinda suprises me.
Mo Sabri why he is using “stm” lenses made for Dual Pixel Autofocus - I use L series primes but STMs are the way to go
you're right. I forgot they're the new kit lenses.
sorry Anand... just a question ... why "stm" lenses are the way to go?... It´s DPA performing better with stm than with the L series?
She looks ill
The Canon color science to me looks muted. The colors aren't vivid.
You're looking at a log image that's why it's muted. It's not really graded.
