I completely agree. Why is there so much negativity towards content creators who monetize their platform? UA-cam is a demanding job, and creators deserve to be compensated for their hard work. We're not obligated to buy anything, but supporting creators we love is a great way to show appreciation and help them continue creating content.
Good video. I run a military channel and an Indian content channel, and people are always wanting to know who I supported in the presidential election. My answer is always the same: I’m not broadcasting my political views on social media, alienating half my audience!! lol 😂
Glad this is dropping on my Birthday, as a creator, I seriously needed to hear this. So many times I've wanted to share my opinions then I just have to stop and think whether or not, some people are going to be offended by this. The standards for most content creators are unreasonably high and it's so unfair, considering mainstream celebrities do farrrr more horrendous things with nowhere near as much hate.
As a viewer I noticed across many channels I follow and those that I occasionally stumble upon there is always some degree of hate but these are in minority. There is always much more positivity. There will always be people who is going to hate no matter what you say. You can't please everyone and if you try you will lose yourself. I think you must be yourself and just try to be a better person. As a content creator I received hate for no reason at all, when I stopped giving attention to it it goes away. It's no use in debating, that's a deep hole with no end.
I don't know this guy who was speeding while potentially distracted in making a video but next time you see a quadriplegic struggling to manoeuvre his / her chair through an entrance way - consider that there is a high probability that the circumstance arose because of someone else's carelessness and / or irresponsible conduct. Anyone who would stake their whole livelihood on one behemoth corporation called Alphabet Inc. hopefully knows what they are doing and the risk they undertake.
An Indian channel of 7 years age with 2.35 million subscribers got deleted with 3 strikes. It is viral all over India now. It is in Hindi, today's release. Search for the tuber Technical Yogi and see his interview in Hindi with the victim, to understand his pain or his mistakes. The one who lost has already started a new channel again now courageously and with a vengeance with even more vim, vigor and vitality.
There's this funny thing called fast forward. Lol I don't like the ads or sponsorship stuff but every media has some sort of advertising or way of making extra funds on the side. It's totally unfair that social media works that way with the canceling of people, etc. That said, I can decide whether I want to stick with my favorite UA-camr or move on. Great thought in this video! (I'm a tiny channel but already have had over a million impressions, then boom 💥 almost nothing now) UA-cam is actually fascinating...🤔🤷
It's not about not wanting to see the channel grow or whoever's running it make money, the issue is a lot of the things they advertise or w/e you can tell they don't really use in their own day to day life, their just pushing a product now. It's also heavily influenced by advertisement fatigued. We see it everywhere, I paid for UA-cam Premium to escape all that and enjoy a video, not for the content creator to suddenly become another advertiser to me, especially when it's disingenuous. Now channels that find creative or funny ways to create there ad section of their video like for example "the Why Files" the way he blends into it, the way the commercial will make you laugh, this works. But so many of them are just like AND THATS OUR SEGWAY, go get gamer sups, you need GAMER SUPS, GET MORE GAMER SUPS... We live in a world filled to the brim with advertisement, 90% of it for things we don't need or want, it just gets to a point of where you're just like "please stop what's even the point any more, I ignore you, even when I see you I mute or look away". Advertisement has failed, and yes I see the irony since the UA-cam platform we're both running our channels on pays us based in the end on advertisements. Not only that there is also the huge distrust of ads on certain platforms, even UA-cam sold out to those hackey games that don't even really exist Ads. The very malicious over insistent pushy nature of advertisement pushed away the audiences about 1980, and it's only gotten worse from there....
Ol' Snout is used to gettin' cancelled. My new series is already at risk because of the low-viewership. The network finna put me out on the streets again.
It takes years to build a reputation, and seconds to ruin it, we've all done bad things that's a given, but sadly today if millions of people see it online all of a sudden you're the worst person in the world while all the hypocrites sit back and virtue signal from their holy temples, I will say this however Marques is a millionaire, he pulls in roughly $100,000 per MONTH with adsense revenue ALONE, (based on stats) not to mention his affiliate links and sponsorships, truth is people are literally fed up of these rich people constantly throwing more crap in your face (sponsorships: the most skipped part of their video for obvious reasons) so that they can just keep raking in more money for themselves, there is a line between integrity and just straight up greed, sadly MOST Big UA-camrs all sell out in the end to the point of even scamming people, look at Mr. Beast and Logan Paul, KSI etc. they are amongst the WORST of the lot, so yeah the Marques situation doesn't surprise me at all, and he won't get "cancelled" he'll just ignore it and move on like the rest of them when $hit hits the fan
I think there is a part of jealousy. When you get that big, you inevitably have people praying for your downfall. I launched a travel UA-cam channel 3 months ago and I have less than 300 subs to this day. Even though I don’t even show my face or talk there is in average one to three people disliking the video 😂 People hate successful people, and also people who try to be successful. It is in human nature.
I have that other channel where some (not most) of my videos are about political stuff. Let me tell you, I always have MAGA coming in drove to 👎 my videos. Talking about how great MAGA is, i'm a democrat shield. I'm not even a Dem. It's so frustrating. 😒 I'm done with political stuff. Even though they perform well, views wise, but not worth the headache. I'll keep posting about entertainment stuff. 🙂

It only takes one thing to kill your reputation. It isn't rational and a lot of times its just built out of envy or jealousy.

I like how you comment on various topics that others ignore. This was a good one!
Thank you... AS A content Creator this makes sense. For me the money I will earn will help my ministry

A very mature approach, thanks for sharing.
Another great video, Kevin. I love your channel and this is a very great view point!! I agree with you
Kevin, I love what you have to say. Awesome channel! 😊

Good luck fellow UA-camrs! I wish you all success 🎉

@ice_ryda you could have a good content but if reported by viewers youtube could delete Your account channel. But they go hand in hand
