@@johnh8705 I traded my 2018 Navigator for a 2020 Aviator. The Navigator is nice but it's like driving a tank around town. The only issues I had were with the entertainment system. I would be more at ease in a newer vehicle. I wouldn't consider a 20 year old vehicle "reliable."
@@Timmy_Magnificent I own a 2001 and I love it also. The motor is smooth and powerful and the body is timeless and beautiful. I've owned it since 2003 so I know its reliability. Hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned.
I have a 2002 Navigator, and I noticed that mine has a couple of options that your 2001 did not have. Mine has power-folding mirrors and climate-controlled seats. Aka, heating and cooling. Just so that folks know what other options the 1st gens came with. I envy yours though, for one reason: It's not missing a floormat! Mine is missing the rear passenger's floormat... Good review, though! I especially liked your camera panning reviewing both at the same time in the same area. Very clever!
Nice review! I have had the 1st gen and 2nd gen. 2nd genlooked exactly like the 06 black ultimate in the video with black seats...loved that thing until a tree fell on it 😔
I have an 03 Ultimate with only 82K original miles!! I absolutely LOVE my Navigator!! However, with the release of the 2018 design.. I may have to pull the trigger! Prior to the new redesign, I believe that the 2nd generation was by far the best Navigator. It SMOKED the Escalade back in 2003. It had a power liftgate, power running boards, heated and cooled seats, the gear selector was NOT on the steering column, and it had a POWER third row that folded flat to the floor and could comfortably hold adults 6 feet tall!!
😇 thought they new had in back coat clothes carrier.. wine chiller or cooler in back as well. Plus the lumbar massage seats ... plus the automatic step to get into car.. SUV.. for nitpickers
I think you are referring to the concept version. Those were purely for show, and didn’t make it to production for obvious cost and manufacturing reasons.
Whats next for the new vehicles? Dildo seat massages? 🤢🤮😂🤣 Stick with the older models. Plus on the new navigator's, the tail lights look like a damn Dodge. Some older things will always be better than the new
The new one is impressive, but the older ones are simply good reliable vehicles. I don't really know how will a trubocharged v6 will last, tho we'll see...
I love the 98-02 navigator. My mom had a 01,02,05 navigator these cars are just great
2001 navigator all the way, They are very reliable
So you would buy a 2001 instead of a 2019?

@Aví J I won't keep it long enough to find out
Love the '01 and I personally believe that a vehicle that size needs that v8 maybe the v6 can do the job but it will be Working
I agree
A perfect review
Thumbs up
Great work!

I think the combined MPG for the 2019 model is off, it should be 17mpg if the city is 16 and the highway is 18
is a 2003 navigator an intech or triton?
2003 is when the InTech was dropped for the Triton. So, 2003 is a Triton.
It’s a intech 32v 5.4 ran in the navigator from 1999-2004
I like the video although .. I'd like to correct u in one fact.. the 2019 comes with 22" wheels not 20s.. thx u for a great video..
+CDM You are correct in that the Navigator shown DOES have 22” wheels, the standard wheels on the Select are 20”.
2nd Gen Navigator and 1st Gen Aviators are my favorite
the 1st gen Aviator is basically a little toy Navigator bot OK.
@@Perich29 ok an a ford Taurus is basically a little toy crown Vic?? See now I sound retarded too everyone look at meee

And now we know. They don’t hold up well in other applications
I want now 2019 😍 I own 3 98 2001 2006
I wan't the old one the early Navigator is more beautiful than the newer ones, I'd take the 01 model over the newer ones.
2019 is unibody
My 2001 Navigator currently at 251,000 miles still running strong as a daily driver. Great review on both trucks !!
