    Your video just save me from taking apart a piece that I had worked on for a long time so thank you! I thought my piece was hopeless but as you pointed out there was looseness because I needed to set it all the way up the sides. I didn't really understand setting until now - your close ups are just great. Merry Christmas!

    There's a diamond tip attachment that makes a gorgeous texture. I absolutely love my foredom hammer hand piece. Like you said, it really makes setting bezels a breeze when you don't a lot of hand or arm strength due to injury or whatnot. Thanks so much for the video! :)

    You make excellent graving tools for this handpiece using tungsten tipped darts. Just cut the dart body to the required length, then drill and tap a 3mm hole in the end opposite the point. then screw/loctite an m3 grub screw into the hole, allowing enough screw length protruding to screw into the handpiece. Drilling a small hole through the dart body allows a Tommy bar to be used for tightening….grind and polish the dart point/shaft to the required shape…easy peasy

    Is there any way you could do a video on how to get the back plate on a bezel that deep dark black I’ve seen on pro pieces? I’ve tried liver of sulfur, jet, Midas black and another one but so far nothing gets the silver that super rich dark black. I’ve tried asking other jewelers but they are stingy w sharing. I’ve tried heating the metal, the los etc. thank you and bless you for all you share! You’ve helped me and others so much!

    Does the polishing compound get the scratches out ? I am learning how to polish out the scratches on a piece after assembling it. However there is so much info out there I don’t even know where to start 😳 Help !

    • @GomeowCreations
      @GomeowCreations  4 роки тому +2

      Yes it does to a point. If they are too deep you will have to clean them up with some sanding wheels and then polish it. 😁

    I really appreciate this video, so thanks!! Have a question: can you use the original tip that the hammer hand piece comes with to set stones, or do you need to have the bezel-pusher tip?

    • @GomeowCreations
      @GomeowCreations  3 роки тому +3

      Yeah you can. I like the bezel tip because it is bigger and leaves less tooling marks,

    And brass? I am having a hard time finding anything other than Silver or Copper. Gold is too expensive.

    2)also, earlier in the video you showed a small Nick created from the hammer hand piece And you said that it could be polished out.?

    What head did you use on the hammer? Also, what is the name of the disc that you used to polish the metal? I still haven’t figured out the polishing technique! Every time i think I’ve got it I end up using the wrong disc and I end up ruining the piece because the disc was to aggressive!
    I just purchased the hammer and it came with one tip. It’s not the one you used. (I haven’t used mine yet but want to make sure I use the correct tip).
    Thanks!

    Hey i wanted to ask you about this hammer adapter, if you know. They say on the foredom site i think or Rio Grande and in the jewelers tool shop in my area, that you should better buy the flex shaft that it is for the hammer tool because it has less power and starts from 5000 rpm i think i dont know. Because with the usual one even with the foot petal its too difficult to achieve that slow speed and if you use it in more than that, its likely you break down your flex shaft. So i was thinking have tried it with the usual foredom (i have the SR cause its 220v i live in Europe) or could possibly connect it to a dremel flex shaft or other brand that you could lock the speed at 5000 or even less and get on with it? What's your opinion, thanks in advance. (my take is they all say the same thing, so that they can sell you the second shaft, too much expence for now)

    Me again ~ could you possibly do a video on cleaning up your metal from start to finish? Maybe pointing out each individual disc as you go? It would be a great help not only for myself but to others who struggle with the same issues. There are a ton of videos out there but none walk you through step by step.
    Again, thank you so much and, thanks for sharing!
