Adam, I cannot get over the fact that you have been literally feet from me & never knew. That building in the reflection of your thumbnail, I can see out of my apartment window. I wish I would have seen you, I would have bought you a piping hot beverage. PS Hellraiser III is my favorite one & I am SHOOK to know it was filmed around here.
Love you are in my state today. My great uncle Archie worked in the furniture factories in high point nc, at a young age he lost his lower arm and hand in one of the furniture machines. They gave him a job for the rest of his life as long as he wanted it. Could have been this building where he worked...
The Hellraiser's movies are such classic movies and my favorites.. Watching you getting to go into The Boiler room brought back my favorite scene.. Thank you once again for a memorable journey through NC..
I too enjoy part 3. I like it when horror franchises divert a little... like the underrated Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2; so different from the original but still great! Also great to see these locations so many years later. Very cool!
Now you are in my town- I have loved all your NC vlogs and have learned so much from you !Thanks for spending so much time with your many NC fans ! Sorry the weather has been unusually bad! Please come back when we have some of our charming NC weather!
I was a film student at UNCG at the time, and a HUGE fan of both Clive Barker and the Hellraiser films. I was lucky enough to work as an extra on all of the "Boiler Room" scenes. I was even pulled to be the stand in for the stunt double who goes over that railing which you referenced. It was fun to see inside the building again after all this time, it hasn't changed a bit honestly. So many great memories, and an exciting time to be in North Carolina. I'd like to be able to post a still of myself from the cut-away shot as Pinhead enters the club but youtube doesn't allow for such things.
That's awesome you got to go in! I love the looks inside and that the pyramid jazz is still on the door! A lot of our old mills are now antiques shops. I can't wait to see you and Scott together. Please let me know how to reach you when you send out Instagram stories for locals but, the response messages apparently aren't seen? I'd love the chance to show you around while you're still here. :)
Thank you Adam for sharing this. I am a huge Hellraiser fan and part 3 is my favorite mainly because it had that campy vibe but it was just a fun movie. I am shocked to learn that the Pyramid Gallery front still remains and virtually untouched. I would visit NC just to see that in person and to take pictures in front of it. Again, thank you.
What shocked me about that was I have lived in Greensboro since 1998 and I always thought that had been a business, I hadn't realized, until today, that it was for a movie.
Adam, I love it that you've found places here in North Carolina to explore. It gives me hope that more people and businesses will find this state more appealing to move to and grow their brands.
Wow, Adam! This is awesome!! I love Hellraiser III! What an unexpected Filming Locations video. I can’t wait to watch this (just as soon as I get the kids off the school)
Woah! This was so good, Adam!! Great video today! The Boiler Room brought back memories of seeing that film back in '92. I'm thrilled and amazed that so much of the film locations still exists, and looks more or less the same!
Found your channel just a couple of weeks ago! Absolutely in awe of what you do! Very enjoyable. I’m going to have to check out these movies I missed all these years later.
I was thinking while you're around here, you'd love Chapel Hill. There's a lot of stuff to film there. A lot of 90's music history there as well. Was once considered kind of the Seattle of the Southeast.
It's always so strange to me, Adam, that you're this friendly, easy going, clean content creator and yet you seek out filming locations of movies that feature gory grizzly violence, impalements and amputations. I'll never quite get it, haha, but I still love the channel.
Hmm! Interesting...I never really thought it was strange at all, I think maybe it's a generational thing? I know plenty of people in my demo that grew up loving Leatherface, Michael, Freddy, Jason and Pinhead, etc, I can't speak for everyone but I don't think it's so much that we loved watching horror to enjoy the violence, so much as it was just fun to scare ourselves, laugh at the way they pull off the gore, and yell at our screens at all of the ludicrous set-ups. My main time with horror sort of waned sometime in the 2000s, sometime after Hostel 2, and then I think I finally noped out at the human centipedes, and all the Asian horror flicks I suddenly couldn't stomach anymore. Needed more camp, and I guess as Woo, says, yes, more cheese.
@@jackaction7077 "Stereotyping"? How is Old Movie Watching with Rob stereotyping Adam? I have a friend who is also a very gentle, sweet person, and he LOVES gory horror movies. It's just weird! LOL
I lived in High Point when they filmed this, I worked at Walmart and I remember the production crew coming in Walmart to buy stuff for the sets. It's so Awesome to see you going on an adventure in my neck of the woods! Thank you for amazing videos Adam, you are definitely the best UA-camr I know!!
Great detective work my friend. I shared your enthusiasm as you explored the locations and wow, what a special treat to be able to go into the Boiler Room. Your attention to detail pays off. Lots of filming has been done in NC due to the great relationship and promotion for film makers to to there. SC was pretty active and some great films have been produced there as well, but the incentives diminished, hopefully that will improve. Thanks for doing this, It is so exciting to see that so much was still so recognizable.
This was so cool. I love it when you match up shots to old movies. You are meeting some really nice, accomodating people on your travels. Lucky them, since they get to spend time with Adam the Woo. another super video 👏🤠🌟
To mention the exact recording date at the beginning of the video is very important - Thank you. :) I just watching your older video and try to find when it's made - not easy. :)
Excellent coverage. It’s wonderful to see these locations still in such (mostly) pristine condition. I was Doug Bradley’s stand-in for this shoot, and spent a lot of time at all of these sites. One thing I wanted to clear up, though. At the High Point location, you referenced one area being where J.P.’s apt probably was. His apt existed only on set at the sound stage. When Pinhead first appears at the top of the staircase prior to the bar massacre, the staircase is right in that area, but the actual apt was not.
I wish i knew you were going to do this movie my best friend back then was the prop master for this movie she used to drive around with pinhead in her car and she could tell you a lot of cool stuff about making the movie and she lives in south Carolina now she moved there from LA about the same time you left there it would be so cool if you guys met up!
One of my favorite horror series that gave me nightmares during my youth. Enjoyed the video a lot! Glad you’re able to go in for the behind the scene experience. Thanks & Safe travels Adam.
Glad you posted this video, because some people didn't get Hellraiser 3... but I did because it was from my generation the MTV generation. It was cool it was fun and it was all about a new era in the 90's 🕛🔄👍
I had no idea anything was filmed in High Point. Been there a million times to see my wife’s family and it was right under my nose. Great video as always.
I watched the first movie, too freaked out to watch the others. Thank you Adam for the great woones! Very relaxing thanks to your friendly personality!
Geez, you've literally been within a few miles of me for the last couple weeks and I haven't seen you out! I may go check out these locations at lunch today since i'm only a few miles away!!! Really good vlog!

My dude this is awesome! Hellraiser 3 was one of the first movies I watched with my dad, amazing video!!! I love how everything is almost the same 😍😍 small world for sure!!
I wonder if the flaming Boiler Room sign outside was original and not made for the film, since the location is actually named The Boiler Room? It really looks like it could have been some awesome punk venue or something
Love filming locations because I thank filming on location makes a movie or tv series more realistic that’s why I can appreciate every time you do a filming location video because it really gives me a sense of all that the film production alone with the actors and actresses have to go through to film in each of the locations and your photos you show always help with understanding each scene also you lucked out when that super nice lady aloud you to go inside that building which by the way was quite fascinating from all the stuff you showed and you were so right Adam that area looked so much like a backlot filming location also the buildings in that town were like stepping back in time thanks now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next Adams Big Adventure also please be safe out there
Adam I like how you do different locations that are kinda culty not super mainstream films it's awesome! Ive been watching you and herve attia for sooo long
Hey Adam! I realize this video is over 2 years old and I commented when you originally posted this, but I was just there and noticed The Pyramid is now a bar called The Quarter and seems to be based on New Orleans. I will check it out soon!
Man I loved this video, thankyou so much for uploading Adam… I always thought part 3 was when the franchise went Full Slasher genre & less gothic. Fun fact. An old high school buddy of mines brother worked on the special effects for this movie & went on to work on the Underworld movies & also Avatar

If you come to New Jersey come down to the pine barrens I’ll give you the location for the cabin in the movie the fallen. No one knows where it is and you be first to document it. It still stands today and looks just like it did 30 years ago. It is also abandoned could be a cool video.

You should see how silly a lot of the directors and actors that make the movies are. It’s surprising at times.
Stereotyping people only shows ignorance.
