Silent Hill is one of those horror movies where, although it doesn’t capture the game 100%, its still stands very well on its own. Definitely a classic that I revisit often. Great video guys.
Hi You know I wouldn't have to scream so loud if people were understanding. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Yeah except they switch it all off. So your emergency button won't even work. To "help rusty" Jesus Christ" no wonder why.
You say although it doesn’t capture the game 100%, its still stands, for me the movie doesn’t capture the game at all 0 % even director said that he doesn’t know anything about Silent Hill, terrible movie, that is not classic, the classic is the the Thing, the SH game is classic
Please keep putting those reminders that none of us are alone. I need that today and coming from you guys makes me feel so loved and cared for 🧡 I know many others appreciate it as well. great video you guys! As always! 👻
Alot of movies are filmed here in our beautiful country 🇨🇦. So glad you were able to do several filming locations while you were here. I hope you had a blast here and please come back soon. You two make such great content. Happy Halloween, Canada loves you ❤️.
I worked on this film for over a year, some of the film was destroyed during devleopment and they had to re-shoot for 2 months, most of it was filmed in Hamilton at the lister block abandoned mall. very spooky place, most of the crew got sick, the mall was full of black mold, asbestos and rotting lead paint. extremely toxic and we shot in there for hours at a time. Local homeless teenagers would sleep in the upper floor, I kept telling them they are going to get sick but they kept coming back. I gave them pizza and left overs from the kraft table.
I was one of them teens age 14 😅 I was on set for both Brantford and Hamilton Ontario. There was a room with a lot of writing on the walls. Also, Three Days Grace shot a music video there as well shortly afterwards they left a lot of clocks 😂
This is amazing! We need more Silent Hill stuff. Thank you so much for taking me to Silent Hill. I am from Europe so I will never be able to experience this, but thanks to this video it felt like I am there. Amazing work! Thank you for this!
such a underrated film, im so glad the director of the 2006 film is coming back to direct the return to Silent Hill movie that is coming soon, it will be a adaption of Silent Hill 2. the 06 film was a love letter to the fans and is just a great adaption of the source material to the silver screen, they even replicated camera movement from the games which was a nice touch.
Great video Michael and Jessica. I have said it before and will say it again, NO ONE does filming locations like the two of you. Thank you so much for all you do!!😀🖤🎃
I lived my teenage years in Brantford (I've now been in Toronto for 30 years) and it's heartbreaking to see how much of downtown B'ford has changed. In case any hockey fans are wondering why Brantford sounds so familiar, it's Wayne Gretzky's hometown.
I played the original Silent Hill video game when it came out on PlayStation in 1999. Really, Really,..... REALLY loved that game. The movie was spectacular and totally creepy as well, but the video game was off the hook for its time and holds a place in my heart as one of the creepiest video games ever made. Thanks for the tour guys!
Same. I was a HUGE fan of the original Silent Hill on ps 1. Must've plated a million times had cheat codes and all. I did play some of the others but the original is the only one I really remember and have a special place for.
Incredible work as always. Michael thank you for taking a second to talk about someone who may want to harm themselves. Props to you and the Baby Ghoul 🙏 As always be safe guys. Happy Halloween!!👻☠️
Yea Hamilton! I told you there was filming locations here!!! Great to see this stuff! When we were younger we would climb over the guardrail and onto the waterfall. Also you guys JUST missed Supercrawl. A big multi day festival on James St, along where the Lister Block (Grand Hotel) is located. You guys would’ve enjoyed that as well!
That church is absolutely stunning. I really love those gates too! Excellent video, Michael & Jessica. I hope you have an amazing time in the UK in October. 💜🔥
My fave horror film. It's my Halloween tradition 😊. And if I haven't said it yet, I absolutely love you two 🥰! The suicide awareness you added in the vlog just shows your character. Please don't ever change.
wow. It was awesome. Brantford(Silent Hill) is like 20 minutes away from where I live. Hamilton is like 30 minutes away. I love those scenes. Now I will have to go and watch the movie again. Thanks for the video.
These are actually all in Hamilton Devils Punchbowl, The Lister Block and The Grand Masonic Lodge are all filming locations in this movie if you're ever down this way 😊
Silent hill one of the greatest video game of all time. Silent hill 2 had the best soundtrack can’t wait for the remastered. Keep it up with these videos
I love that you took the moment to say to reach out to someone about harming yourself...as thats such a massive topic in this world. What a wonderful thing to say and do in this video. Such a kind soul. I love your channel and have been following for some time...but really have been enjoying the filming location videos a LOT, lately.
These last few videos have been some of best as far a bring back memories for me. Thank you both for the trip down memory lane and always keep up the amazing work
It's so cool that last year you went to Centralia, Pennsylvania to explore the inspiration for Silent Hill, and now you're at the location where the Silent Hill movie was filmed. That's so cool. You just went to two of my bucket list locations.
Awesome video. Alot of people also forget that the town of Centralia was also an inspiration for the game. Really cool you found the movie location. Happy Halloween 🎃.

I know a lot of people were disappointed that the movie didn’t lineup with the game 💯. But I think that it did really well to capture the essence of the game and it’s one of my favorite horror movies. I really appreciate all of the research and time you both take into these videos. They’re very informative. I also appreciate you taking a moment to tell those who are having a hard time that there is always someone to talk to. That was such a sad and somber place and I had no idea that was there but it’s good to be aware of it and talk about mental health.
and yet again, another great and entertaining video from you guys! its great seeing the filming spots, and how they've changed. and its great how you include the movie scenes to line the shots up! thanks for all your hard work!!
The 3 original Silent Hill games will forever and always be masterpieces in psychological horror ever created and the movies with Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean were in my opinion great acting by these two individuals and awesome adaptations of the games, not perfectly accurate to the games, but still amazing in their own right.
Silent Hill is a great game & the movie does a solid job too. I love movie location videos because it always gives you a more in-depth look of what they achieved! Always so cool.
Another great video !! A bunch of great horror movies were shot in Toronto, the Toronto city hall was used in the Resident Evil movie and the Cherry Street bridge was used in Land of the Dead.
I had no idea that Silent Hill was filmed just in Hamilton! My Hubby and I were married at the Scottish Rite & had our reception there! It was so nice to meet you guys! I hope you liked the cookies!
9:44 what a view ! Beautiful area there. Nice day to jump in that creek. Building new buildings is fine but seeing the old buildings and signs I like better.

O man, this is awesome! I just utterly love the Silent Hill franchise. So cool to see the movie town for real. You guys did a truly amazing job! But then again: that is why you are the Grimm life collective.

I remember when me and my boyfriend at the time went to see this at the cinema. We were the only two people in the theatre so it was a great experience. I loved watching my brothers play the game growing up too and thought the film was very true to the feel of the game. Great video, as always!🧡
You know, for as much as I like this movie I never once realized it was filmed pretty much with 45 minutes where I live in every direction... Also, for the amount of time I've spent at the Devil's Punchbowl I never recognized it on the movie. Moreover, I don't think I ever remember that scene in the movie! Thanks for the awesome now and then! Great work again!

Silent Hill is a underrated film. The atmosphere was very close to the video game. Seeing Pyramid Head on screen for me was the most memorable moment.
Not underrated. Your just young so call literally everything that exists underrated
Pyramid head shouldnt have appeared, its a personal manifestation of james sunderland
@@diogopereira1475 it's just a monster, a nightmare image, the audience of the film doesn't care about the game
