My second knife ever was the zt 0450cf and since then, I love them so much and they have a soft spot in my heart. So true they say that it's built like tank and ready for hard use no matter the size.
0640 has quickly become my favorite, and I have 4 on your list. It truly is the most solid and precision built ZT. Hard to explain but it is very different than other ZT knifes in terms of build and action. The thumb disk is just a bonus at that point.
Great video. I have ZT 0300s that are still bulletproof after over 10 years of use, and I just added the 0308; I have to say, it is a worthy follow-up to the classic. It's smooth, fast and solid as a tank. I've always told friends that the ZT 0350 was one of the best values in the knife world. If the 0357 is the same kind of upgrade as the 0307 is, then my recommendation can still stand.
Great vid, many thanks. ZT remains my favorite knife manufacturer. I have a couple 400's that aren't even close to being worn out after well over ten years of hard use and EDC. Fantastic build, quality of materials, and reliability. Love the newer ones but won't be replacing mine any time soon. Super nice people at ZT if you ever get a chance to meet them at a major show. Customer for life.
These give me the warm tinglies... first integral G10 flipper on the market and it has an excellent blade geometry for everyday slicing: kcoti.com/3eVs2XL
ZT 0022. My friend had a couple of nice cuts in each palm from that little fellow. I really wanted one till i saw his hands lol he sold it shortly there after.
Well I have the 0562CF, I still don't know, I have to put it to work, surely is well built and strong, but handle is slippery when I take it out of the poket and the ball bearings...are really needed? I need more time to understand if it worth the money. If you knife lovers have already experience with this knife, share it please. Regards from Italy, stay safe. Leo
Saving up for the 0452 CF before it is discontinued. Also, the 0452 has been hailed as the best smooth drop-shut production knife, if anyone had experience anything as smooth or smoother, please let me know.
There are many models from many manufacturers with "drop-shut" actions these days. In my opinion, the 452 CF is a classic for other reasons. Fantastic quality, very compact carry for its length, and very elegant styling. It does have some flaws: The handles are slippery. Pressure on the lockbar can make it resist opening. The action is super super snappy, but the detent is so strong that it can make your index finger sore quickly. Also the screws of the pocket clip can interfere with thick pants.
I'm about time that I see a knife that I love that 452 CF will a 4.1 inch blade is just perfect! I'm going to otter one as soon as I can. I know David doesn't like long blades but I love them sincerely Bill boil

David does such a great job with his perfect explanation of each knife so much so that I'm going crazy trying to decide which one?? I have decided I'm going to go with the ziti 452 CF I'm ordering it today. I love David even more because he finally showed the big one 4.1 inch blade I just love it! Thanks David now I'm out 240 bucks plus please put me on the knife Awards Rewards I still can't figure out how that works. Dave keeps me entertained all day he actually Mellows me out as I watch him go through tons of knives thank you again David sincerely William Boyle
I agree, and the 0640 Emerson design (thumb disc) is pure awesome. I'm hoping they can hot one out of the park again like this with thumb stud in future.
Ball bearings are nice but as beefy as these are, it would only take 5 minutes to gum them all up with dirt and grit. I want one bad and I use knives outside every day for work but man, I have my doubts about the bearings reliability doing outside dirty tasks.
Great video thank you! Have to put some ZTs on my buy list now!! I really love these videos, I can’t watch your competitor’s videos they are just obnoxious, I mean absolutely appalling.
More pocket friendly and less aggressive looking. Some people are uncomfortable when someone whips open a large knife to open something even those it’s clearly being used as a tool. More importantly some state have law prohibiting blades over certain lengths. California for example has a strict 2 inch blade limit and that’s a big market not to accommodate.
Also, knife companies have less material in a small knife and can make more money. That’s probably the biggest reason actually. Rarely ever do you see a sub 2 inch knife sell for less than a bigger knife with similar attributes.
I hope that Zeo Tolerance have nicer packaging now. I bought a 0095BW one year ago (what a knife !), and for the price I was very (!) disappointed with the packaging :/ it is like you buy a jewel in a 'garbage bag' :/ I compare with some chinese 4 or 5 cheaper and for me some 'lessons' must be learned ;)

@Patrick G Marginally, I do not know. But the difference between the item and the packaging 'shocked' me

Yeah, I wish he showed it here. He mentions it, but I think it needs to be highlighted, it's a near-perfect EDC.

What a fabulous video! Thank you! You're a really terrific communicator in all of your reviews. Very helpful; thank you!
Interesting, no mention of my favorite edc...the zt 0450.
Please kill that background music. The knife information is the entertainment. Thanks for the video.
The RJ Martin is a *great* EDC knife! Just gotta "tune" the pivot to get a nice smooth action.
Agreed 🍻
Has ZT fixed the problem with the liner lock closing on the fingers?
Nice video, I would like a vid like this for other brads
Good video, love your work Big Hands! 👍
How you doing David, you seem a bit down, hope you're good mate 🍻
Not big, just slightly larger than average :P
Doing well Steven, thank you for asking! -DCA

why dont you like the 0350?
Fidgeting the 0308 while watching. Oops, now I need 12 stitches.
I felt the same way about the 0022 because I was also bit by the tip of the blade the first TWO times I opened it...
For some reason or another, I STILL want it..
The only zt I own is the 0770 and I like it pretty good but I really want to try a 0562 or 0393.

You will love it. Its so good im getting the smaller one too.
Would recommend a Protech Malibu. Button lock flipper and a useful blade shape.
@@Cry42 speaking of button lock flipper, have you handled the Drop Ferrum Forge Mordax, also made by Protech?
My brother has the 0452cf and it’s pretty dope. Too big for my taste but he loves it :)

No need for both really, so no.

I just received the 0452 cf as a gift from my son. Extremely hard to open at first. Broke in quickly though. It truly is a Wonderful piece!
i thought ur thoughts were thoughtfully thought out .
Got 2 of the 0456. The pivot got me lol...
You forgot to mention the actual purpose of the "pass thru" behind the pivot on the 308. Or did I just miss it?
As far as I know it is just decorative, unless I am missing something... -DCA
@@knifecenter Yep, that's what I thought... Thank you sir!
Why wont ZT make a decent thumb stud knife?
Flippers are their brand. Sister brand Kershaw is for thumb studs, I'm guessing.
