    As an 'Under $100' buyer, I've been extremely impressed with the Kizer Justice (partially serrated version) as a "hard use" folder. It's slim enough to easily carry, has plenty of drop point blade, and has a large enough handle to grip comfortably. Has smooth washer opening via thumb studs or flipper and just feels great.

      @blueeyeswhitedragon9839 4 роки тому

      @@chucklee1313 :- In all fair tests to destruction where a fixed blade is compared to a folder...the folder fails first.
      The main point of failure (in fair testing) was the pivot area, then the actual lock itself failed. Yes, fixed bladed knives also broke in many tests, some bent, but all folders eventually failed.
      I'm not arguing against folding knives...they are pretty much all I carry unless out in the woods, camping, canoeing or hiking.
      I am saying the terminology is off...folders should not be called hard use knives...that classification should be reserved for fixed blades.

      Depends on your definition of hard use. I know me and a couple of my friends who use cold steel folders do not treat them nice. I'm not saying they're stronger than fixed blades. I have thumped an SR1 through logs for 2 years. Batonned it hard enough to chip and scratch the spine too. For $140 I have no complaints. IMHO its a little easier to pocket carry than the 4 max models.

      Clearly you have no idea just how tough the AUS10 really is. Furthermore, the 4-Max scout is much beefier than the petite AD10.

    • @user-nd1ku3qi7e
      @user-nd1ku3qi7e 4 роки тому

      I know enough to state that AUS10 is an average budget steel at best. I agree the 4-Max scout is beefier than the AD10 and that was never in question. If your needs require a knife as huge as the 4-Max scout, I would seriously consider a fixed blade. Ultimately, what ever works for you man. Enjoy them blades, over and out.

      Same here. I wanted quantity and quality, so I have so many ranging from Ganzo, CH knives, Kershaw, CRKT, to Twosun, Kizer, Spyderco, ZT, BM, then to Reate, Rike knives, Steelcraft Todd Begg Bodega and 3/4 kwaiken, North Arm Skaha 2, and 1 custom Hoback Kwaiback. When I look at knives online, I look at budget knives, customs, and everything in between. It all sparks my interest and it's a great time to be an enthusiast or collector b/c there's so much out there. It takes me so long to make up my mind on something b/c I want it all, lol.
