I've been using Daniel Defense Rifles for over 15 years now, so it was crazy when I realized that I had never been to the factory since I've done factory tours at other companies in the industry.
They finally invited me out to their facility to not only see where their guns are built, but they also let me shoot a lot of them.
And I mean a lot of them.
This was probably the first time I got tired of shooting but in the best way possible.

The factory tour of Daniel Defense was impressive and that plant was top notch.
🤠👍 yeah buddy!!!
looks the same as others really
As a machinist myself I'll vouch for how incredibly clean that shop is!
@@ciphergalm1174 Exactly.. Imagine extruding aluminum for a few dollars and spending a few more dollars to mill the rail out...
and then you sell it for $500. lol It's so hilarious that people buy it at their crazy prices.
I work for a gun manufacture, and this shit is always fascinating to me. Daniel Defense makes a top notch product, and you can tell the care they put into their products by the condition of their shop floor. Their care about their employees and their brand is reflected in the quality of their products and the pride their employees have in their work. I wish I could claim to own a Daniel Defense.
Which manufacturer do you work for Robert?
@@Shift1dwn5up Proof Research. I too know something about having pride in my work.
@@MTMILITIAMAN7.62 OH absolutely. My buddy got a 300prc barrel from proof research and he's very happy with the quality.Made with 416R stainless wrapped in carbon fiber.Super accurate even under long sessions of fire.Seems to cool down very quickly...Heard nothing but good things about the company. I think that is pretty darn cool you work for them.
They do not give a fuck about thier employees. Just check out their Glass Door reviews.
@@TheMsterblaster They care plenty about their employees. Best employer I've ever worked for. Every company probably has former employees who are disgruntled. The company holds employees to a high standard because we refuse to compromise on quality. There is no getting around that. But if you're willing to do the work, they will take care of you.
As someone who's company makes AR-15 lowers and handrails in a small job shop it's amazing to see how big and nice one of the industry leaders shop is.
Sweet shop for sure. I wanna say theyre down in Savannah GA. Never have worked in a shop that large.

That's what I was thinking. That place looks immaculate.
I even work in a factory, and this is absolutely jaw dropping to see inside this one.. So glorious, god bless America..
My only AR at the moment is a DDM4V7. Super proud owner of it and seems like an upstanding company.
Pretty much top of the line product.
I absolutely love my DDM4V7 and will not buy from any other manufacture.
I went with the ddm4v7p with law tact folder and is a pretty sleek gun
I want one of their uppers
Yeah, a one AR collection. No surprise there! 💲🤑pssssh🤑💲
Having been blue collar all my life I'm very impressed with how CLEAN and well organized that shop is. I also recognize that any and all improvements usually require moving a bunch of stuff around, running new power and air lines, repainting safety stripes on the floor and so forth. It boggles me how many changes that place has to have seen and still looks that good.
Worker pride in the job really shows. No wonder they sell great products.
@Mark Fergerson, the benefit of all the CNC machines is the enclosed work areas. All the chips and coolant are contained in the cabinet.
Cleanliness and order are driven from the top down and executed from the bottom up. Instilling a continuous improvement mindset in your staff combined with an accurate hiring profile of what your needs are based upon soft/hard skill sets. Their Gemba board was not shown. In my experience those boards are never up to date and are more for show.
Great products
@@MaxCruise73 although that's true they still develop leaks and throw chips out sometimes. For instance those HAAS machining centers have open ceilings by the turret to accommodate tooling. I run the same machines. That shop is squeaky clean for a machine shop!
@@dartdodge69 I started my apprenticeship running all manual machines. Towards the end of my apprenticeship I programed and ran CNC machines (MAZAK). SO much less clean up time.
You are correct though. The Daniels Defense factory is amazingly clean and shiny.
Same can be said of the Wilson Combat facilities. Several videos are available showing the operations at Wilson. Equally as clean.
It was new in 2017 so it has only had 4 years of use and changes so that contributes a lot to how clean and organized everything is.
As an employee for Daniel Defense for almost 4 years now, I can tell you how much I love working for the company and the Daniels. It is a company focused on their people first and foremost. And while I am not an official spokesperson for the company, this video represents what life is like every day at our facility. Marty makes it a point to get to know his staff and is always interested in watching each process as it takes shape. Mr. Noir, while I didn't get the pleasure of meeting you in person during your tour, we are glad you came by and enjoyed the experience you had with us.

I think most Armalite pattern parts are made in the US, it seems to be almost rare to find parts that are not.
Other rifle types its of course different but US pretty much dominates the Armalite market.

Colion will Educate AMERICA, and hopefully "THE WORLD" !!!! Thank You AGAIN, Mr. Noir for a great education video AGAIN here 🤗😀
I'm Canadian. Was raised default/liberal anti gunner. Binging every episode of Noir was a HUGE part of my turning pro. Colion is absolutely educating us in the rest of the world.
Colion keep spreading the message of freedom brother!! Your influence on people of color is huge and you help to expand the 2A community with your influence to folks that may have never thought about picking up a gun or had preconceived notions of them. You also help to open up peoples minds to different political viewpoints and the importance of freedom, the 2nd amendment and voting. You do this by highlighting those politicians and groups that seek to rule us rather then govern and work for us. It’s not just Democrats either, there are also plenty of Republicans that are wolves in sheep’s clothing. We have a lot of work to do in America and we can’t stop fighting for our rights, our freedom and the future of this country. The media is abhorrent and out of control in this country and we need people like you to spread truth and use alternative platforms to get the message out. Thank you for all that you do and keep up the fight!!
Super cool to see the inside of DD. I've always wanted to see how the process works and how they make things, especially when I lived down the street from them, but I was never given the opportunity. Thanks for being our eyes and ears this time Colion!
Let's not forget that the NFL denied Daniel Defense a commercial during the Super Bowl boycott the NFL.
Bought my first DD rifle a few weeks ago. It’s the DD M4A1 and yeah, it stung the pocketbook a bit but damn, it is a sweet shooter.
Ya the M4A1 is sweet. That or the MK18 will be my next buy but I'd rather have the 14.5 so I can run a regular stock instead of a brace.Ive got the V7 and the V7pro right now. Both have proven reliable, accurate and smooth shooters.
@@Shift1dwn5up Right on!
I bought my first DD last memorial day. MK 18 with a few extra goodies! I agree they are pricey, but no regrets whatsoever!🚀✨🚀✨🚀
Great video! Having worked at DD for three months now, I can tell you that this is the best place I've ever worked and Marty Daniel cares for his people like most people care about making money. Our products are also quality tested to a point where employees can't even bring home trash parts... anything that doesn't meet standards is destroyed... can't leave the building.
All I can say is there’s Gazillions of manufacturers that produce the AR platform. And from a slight distance, it can be a little tricky to determine one brand from the other. But the DD is always easy to spot. You instantly know it’s a Daniel Defense as soon as you see One and that’s for a very good reason! The only thing that I regret about purchasing mine is the fact that i’m actually concerned about scratching them up opposed to my other stuff…lol like some kind of dumb ass poser!!! 🚀✨🚀✨🚀
I'm so impressed with how they just welcomed you in and treat you with dignity and respect that means a lot to me being a black shooter as well. If I can pony up the change for one of them fancy rifles I'd totally would now!! Thank you for your hard work Colion Noir!!
Daniel Defense & Marty Daniel, you guys will always have my support NO MATTER WHAT! Thank you guys for producing quality product & making it possible for me to bear
It's ironic that more of these rifles probably saved lives by home defense than taken by murderers who are gonna murder anyway regardless the tool they use.

I can attest to the quality of DD. Have only personally handled one that had an issue. The customer sent it back and ended up getting a new rifle that worked flawlessly.
My DDs are still running strong despite many thousands of rounds each.
I got to admit, it was nice to see the exterior shot of the factory and see the huge American Flag again. I remember driving by that every day ony way to my job at the Oracal factory down the street. The video does not do justice to the size of it.
I can attest to that, lived in Statesboro for a couple of years and driving buy it every day you couldn’t help buy admire they’re building from i16
I noticed they required Colion to take all logos off his shirt during the tour. I guess the CEO doesn’t want bad publicity and In a way I don’t blame him
At 9:08 you can see the shirt is actually flipped inside out with the neck logo sticking outwards lol.
Colion you progressed pretty damn well throughout the years! 💪🏾🇺🇸
It is actually possible to do a video featuring a company brand without political undertones whatsoever.

I got what I paid for with DD, I got garbage! The quad rail I bought for one of my AR-10 builds years ago was a DD quad rail. When I got ahold of DD for a replacement I was told they don't make that rail any longer and could only offer me a hardware kit. I thought the response was garbage just like the product I purchased. If that product was no longer made probably due to design flaws why did they not offer me a new different rail... Thank you for the tour sir, outstanding job
Throughout my career I have visited hundreds of manufacturing facilities around the world. Without access to their processes, simply based on this video it appears that DD is without a doubt Best-in-Class! As a proud owner of three DD rifles, I also know that their Customer Service is an amazing team. Great video Colion, by the way, your “guns” 💪🏾 seems to be getting bigger. Keep it up.
I'm surprise Colion didn't have much to say to Marty besides "yeah" "really" "ok" " that's crazy". Lol.
Remember when everything you bought was the quality of a Daniel Defense product, because it was made in the USA? And with with the declining value of the dollar, 40 years ago it was a fraction of the what the garbage we have available to us cost today.
No, because it probably wasn't. Almost all AR parts are still made in the US. Modern machining has insane tolerances at affordable prices thanks to CNC automation compared to when Stoner designed the rifle (remember he was also using plastic handguards).
Example: For $5k I can get a decent used CNC that can do large steel parts. If I insist on new machine and something smaller for my apartment well I can still for the same low $5k get a 5 axis desktop cnc (it could do lowers, frames, bolts, but more impressively turbochargers and turbo impellers since those can't be done with 3 axis or lathes). Due to the insane tooling cost reduction everyone can get an entire CNC if they wished, its no longer expensive or requiring skilled machinists to crank out parts. That simply didn't exist to this scale long ago, and because of this extreme drop in cost and lower skill necessary they are getting better quality than before, not to mention better and more consistent alloys.
Want a better example? One of my relatives took shrapnel when his M16 blew up in Nam, but to be fair military weapons only mean "made by the lowest bidder" and they don't even require sub MOA accuracy, even 3 MOA was "good enough" back then. Even the most budget options now (like complete uppers with M16 bolts) at $200 total are guaranteed sub-MOA groups.
That gunmetal Grey ddm4v7 pro with red radian parts was my grail rifle for a long time. Was finally able to get one a few months back. Still love it after about 2000 rounds.
I met the DD guys at IV8888 range day. I really liked their 7.62x51 bolt gun. Nice guys and great guns!
Nice factory, but anytime going onto a shop floor like this everybody should have hearing and eye protection on. Safety first.

@@xPRODIGYxGAMER That is what I was referring to was the guy shouting at Noir about safety while not wearing safety equipment, lol!
Obviously I know depending on the sound level, but you could clearly tell it was way beyond that, I hear you loud and clear (well mostly just from my right ear, and only sort of over the loud constant ringing...), but I get yah.
