I would suggest a 1/4 inch foot! A scant works as well but it will mean that when you open up after sewing and press your seam your desired direction that a ever so small fabric lip will appear because the curves will want to lay at a 1/4 inch and if your seam is slightly less than that you may have areas where there's a small lip, if that makes sense. It would be super small and not noticeable but may catch and create a tiny fold when you are quilting across that seam. Hope that helps!
