This quilt is lovely. I defy anyone to look at this quilt and say "they don't like scrap quilts" This quilt proves scraps of all sizes can be used to create a quilt of beauty. Thank you! Happy sewing and good health in 2025.
❤ this quilt is stunning❤ you have the most incredible designs and techniques of ALL the quilting channels I watch ( and I watch ALOT). Keep on amazing us with your beautiful creations 😊
I never ever would have thought to do it in quarters like that. I love that idea, especially for a large quilt on a small domestic machine. I'm sooooo trying this :D
I love scrap quilts. They are my favorites. I do want to point out however that you don't make blankets. You make quilts. A blanket is one layer of fabric, while a quilt is three. :)
@@MonaLeduc The size of the blanket was 90*75 inches, as the customer requested. I can't tell you how many yards of background fabric it took because we measure fabric in meters.
Hi I just found you. Very interesting how you made this quilt. I liked how you put it together in sections. Defiantly looking forward to your next video.
Absolutely fantastic how you managed to use up the small fabric scraps. Beautiful quilt! Love the butterfly fabric too. Lots of work but worth your effort. Keep it up 👍 Happy New Year to you and your family from June in Singapore 🇸🇬
With all the designs you come up with, you must have many quilts. Do you sell them or give them away? You are certainly a busy person. Your videos are the best. Thank you ❤😊
I enjoyed watching this. Is the first background block a certain size. Since it is scrappy, the measurements don't matter as much. It is beautiful! I might have to try this after I finish the project I am working on.

Beautiful work could this method be used doing it in four sections? As in four big squares? Also what did you use for the filling? How thick is it and what is it called. It looked lovely and lightweight enough to use without you struggling.

I love the butterfly fabric you used on the back of the quilt
I really like this fabric too!
Very clever! This might solve my dilemma by quilting in sections. 👍❣️
It’s a great way to quilt larger projects!
I agree. Sometimes, taking a quilt to the long arm quilter just isn't in the budget.
Beautiful quilt and and you did a beautiful job making it!! ❤
Thank you! Most importantly, I used all my fabric scraps that I had been saving for a long time.❤

@themelodyofsewing6369 looking back at your video, I wished I could have seemed how you sewed the back strip of that quilt
?how many yards of the grey fabric did you use. Also, what size did end up being. It's gorgeous

Parabéns 👏👏👏
I was so confused when you were sewing them together. I thought you were making a sleeping bag, until I noticed you were sewing two pieces together. 😎
There were 3 sections in total. I sewed them sequentially one to another.
Yes, I had to watch the joining sections another time. I get it now!
Absolutely fantastic how you managed to use up the small fabric scraps.
Beautiful quilt! Love the butterfly fabric too.

Thank you so much for your comment!❤
I love this so much! Is there any hope that all of the lines could line up? Does it matter which way you turn the blocks?
You can arrange the blocks as you wish. All strips are even after trimming. When sewing stripes, do not stretch the background fabric.
Thank you!❤
Linda,técnica maravilhosa.😊
Thank you!❤
Great quilt as you go technique! Due to the bulk, I've found that lightly glueing the sections together works well, too.
Yes, I agree with you. Thank you!❤

What type of batting did you use for this quilt? I love it… can’t wait to try this!!
I used Alpolux. The filler can be anything.

Do you randomly cut the 8 inch square the exact same way to make it come out like that
Love the use of one color tying all the scraps together. What bothered me is why you are cutting towards yourself instead of away?
I cut it this way because I can’t do it any other way. Don't worry, everything is under control!
Woah!
How long did this take you??? I’d love to make one but would need to double your time and I might be close to finishing 😂
A little. I sewed this blanket for about 2 months. The longest part was sewing the blocks, I made the assembly and quilting of the quilt much faster.
❤❤❤🙏😊
