Bring back the build and battle show where they have a set amount to spend on the car to achieve wte goal with wte car they choose to build for the type of competition... loved seein the 3rd gen be built to try an drift with one off custom parts the guys made from scratch and not even knowin it was gonna work
The torque arm set up works really well, especially with a watts link which I think is money better spent than the 4 link kit that still uses a panhard bar.
Tq arm is definitely a better setup when you’re doing any sort of serious handling, 4 links get over complicated and are better for drag racing and stuff, and like you said, still need a panhard. Watts link ftw
Who gives a shit if the camera is shaky? Who cares if it’s the third GEN they’re showing you how to do more than a lot of people do. this goes for all cars ❤ love and respect
You guys can get gimbles or smaller stabilization stuff so you can still record one-man style (obv not a huge full size gimble but something) without having shaky cam.
The thing I hate about Hoonigan videos lately is that you get an entire synopsis of the episode before you see anything so now you hear the same thing said three times before its five minutes in. It makes me want to turn it off after seeing everything done at the beginning
All new show "hoonigan - guys face while working" not gonna add the time but guys face has more screen time than the car. Hoonigan just ain't what it used to be.
I was sitting here watching this thinking the same thing! If only Hoonigan didn't already have a 3rd gen Gymkhana Grid build on their channels to reference for this build.
Hell i need to find someone near mw that does exhaust work, because i had to chop the Y pipe connecting the headers. All i can find online is either headers or cat back, not the part in the middle that i actually need
I'd be motivated too if I had a shit load of brand new parts 😂. Try being motivated broke as hell and no parts! It's just depressing as hell not being able to afford anything
Pavement stuff is more forgiving for weight distribution(even though everyone gets are hardon for "pErFEcT 50/50" - clean sheet race cars aren't 50/50, they're more like 45/55; although the new LMP Hypercars are required to have 48.5% nose, because of dumb rules...) - a whole lot of people get caught up in chasing 50/50, but suspension tuning can making any weight distribution perform. All the record setting STIs & Evos for example, those things are around 60/40, an M4 Comp Coupe is 54/46, etc. Moving weight towards the rear(of a front engine RWD) is definitely a good move, but suspension tuning is going to get what you want out of the car regardless of where the final numbers end up.
sure is nice getting pre-fab stuff to make the process easier, any less input from assistance and most people just don't do any of those things to cars... even if the whole axle assembly and kit was only selling for $183 "too much work".
Does Dave know that his new race car was actually for Mike. Watch out Dave Mike's stealing your thunder, he has full head of hair, makes really good videos, he is a badass driver...really just overall better.
hey not to be a dick but slow down when moving that camera around in general and take some more time and a wider angles while looking at stuff cause this was near unwatchable for those reasons.
PLEASE USE A GIMBAL. PLEASE UPVOTE THIS COMMENT SO THE TALENT AT HOONIGAN SEE THIS. Thank you for everything you do for us Honnigan. Edit: I love you Hoonigan. May God Bless all the individuals and families at Hoonigan. Rest in peace Mr. Block.
Ok, I'm skipping this build... and I love 3rd Gens too. But that shakey camera holding made me sick last time. Get help. This is Hoonigan, no excuse for not having someone help record this.
I just remembered why I stopped watching hooningan and thats because of the ADHD video editing that goes on. Jump cuts constantly and video meme always being slapped in it is irritating and cringe
That flag needs to be properly disposed of at this point/ a tattered flag is just disrepectful, unless that's what you're going for. Otherwise, burning the flag would be less disrespectful than displaying a dirty and torn flag.
Maybe it was hanging in his dad’s garage and getting rid of it is the last thing he would want to do. Don’t think there is any disrespect towards ol’glory. Just a sensitive generation.

I think the title should say 4 Link rear end conversion lol
Made me watch it.
Me too! @@Paul_Tomlin
I don't think the algorithm allows "rear-end conversion" lol

Actually a cool 4 link setup I remember the old kits you had to cut out part of your rear floor and the mounts went inside the car
Who gives a shit if the camera is shaky? Who cares if it’s the third GEN they’re showing you how to do more than a lot of people do. this goes for all cars ❤ love and respect
I home built a wonder bar for my 84 T/A and it turns amazing now.

Thank you. Skip the first 20s and it's perfect
All new show "hoonigan - guys face while working" not gonna add the time but guys face has more screen time than the car.
Hoonigan just ain't what it used to be.
For angle, Alex Grimm made an angle kit for their old third gen build
This is so rad. If the trucks are strong I can’t imagine how badass this rig will be
Someone sponsor my boy with some shop fans lol
My man needs that Big Ass Fan sponsorship for suuuure
Im working on a 3rd gen drift car project with a turbo vortec 4200 - love it
the OGs that have been watching since 2015 aren’t the ones complaining about shaking cams😂😂 I remember watching the first daily transmission
They already figured it out and building battle remember I believe they use S550 Mustang front knuckle strut and steering arm components
I was sitting here watching this thinking the same thing! If only Hoonigan didn't already have a 3rd gen Gymkhana Grid build on their channels to reference for this build.
It was stock knuckles. Grimm welded up a custom angle kit. Only mustang parts they used were the coilovers
bring back build breakdowns pleeeeaaasseeee
Love the build, feel like this gen Camaro design is aging well, looking forward to seeing the final product...
I forgot about Detroit speed.. man that kit is crazy great....
How do you like that big swamp cooler for your shop? Does it help? I just built a metal shop in a hot arid climate.
It’s like the Alan Parsons Project, but with Darrin, there’s a reference no one will get
Wow that chassis is clean!
That's a nice rear kit .
Great series so far, good work man 👌🏼
Bring on the 3rd Gen content!
The editing in the eBay ad was epic boys. Well done.
Hell i need to find someone near mw that does exhaust work, because i had to chop the Y pipe connecting the headers. All i can find online is either headers or cat back, not the part in the middle that i actually need
4:00 Bracket Brian dosent watch these videos because he's also busy looking for cars, maybe car parts
I'd be motivated too if I had a shit load of brand new parts 😂. Try being motivated broke as hell and no parts! It's just depressing as hell not being able to afford anything
Get working save money
So I take it Darrin is taking Scottos spot since he wont be finishing the AE
Let's Go Hoonigan's!
Need to see this when its finishhhhed❤❤
the v8 supercars essentially made independent rear 9" axle that was trussed to the hubs
So much for the engine reveal. 😂
Needs an SLA/extended front wheelbase setup...
This guy must be working during an earthquake. I can't focus on anything but the time lapse shots. Send a videographer 🙏🏻
take a drink every time he says Detroit speed

It's so hot he's actually just welding with a magnifying glass
PRETTY DARTY CAMERA WORK I AM DIZZY FROM I WATCHING ALL THE MOTION TRY HOLDING STILL
who's this with the shaky cam?
Call the Dr. That Camaro is going to be sick.
Sweet
The amount of time and money he put in he coulda got the IRS kit
and replace the steering box with a rack and pinion. I mean if he plans to build a drag car then it's spot on, but as a track car? Not ideal tbh
Detroit Speed quadralink kit w/o shocks is $1900 - you're not IRS'ing a solid axle car for $1900, not unless you're fabricating everything yourself.
@RyTrapp0 True but these guys get a slot of sponsorship
@@RyTrapp0yeah then you also need to remember the diff he has is 4k or more lol
Not first but sweet video.
That Detroit Speed makes a 3rd Gen F-Body drive and respond amazing. They really knocked it out the park with that engineering.

4-link front? 🤔 Not sure that’s right.
cant wait for more. keep up the great work
"4-link FRONT end"🧐
Says a lot about how much effort was put into the production of this video
Let's go
Shake cam
the problem if I had a 3rd gen would be spending 50k on a roadstershop chassis with IRS lmao
Heidts has a bolt on IRS kit for a fraction of that. But I think if you want IRS you should just buy a Corvette.
@@lb9gta307 it's the whole chassis not just the irs lol.
@@WildEngineering yes, but you can get a similar effect for a fraction of the cost which minimizes the "problem" 🙄
Did I miss something? Who is this guy? How is he related to Hoonigan? Or did they hire a random guy in the middle of nowhere with a shop?
Does Dave know that his new race car was actually for Mike. Watch out Dave Mike's stealing your thunder, he has full head of hair, makes really good videos, he is a badass driver...really just overall better.
4 link rear end setup not 4 link front end ya doofus
so now it's not even at hoonigan...
😐

Minus the 2 minutes of inserted BS, less then a 12 minute video for a virtually bolt on seems to be a long stretch for ever y'all
This guy doesnt even feel like hoonigan
Zzzzzzzz
Nice build, awful camera work

Some people weren’t around for the shake cam era of Hoonigan and it shows.

K bye

if there was a prize for being first like lol
I hate 3rd gen Camaros more than Camaro owners hate Hondas.
