I'm in Ohio, and I have to admit that I am envious of you Californians and your rust-free suspensions and undercarriages. I put all new suspension under my son's '89 IROC, and it took a torch and air hammer... Next, we will be upgrading the rear end with something stronger, before it explodes like the transmission did.
Recently restored the rear suspension on my 84 Camaro Sport and realized it didn't come with a rear sway bar. Although I want to keep it factory as much as possible, this is one area that I'm going to go beyond the build sheet and install a kit like that one. Great video! Thanks for sharing.👍

We did the rear suspension in 6 hours, but it would have taken about 3 hours if we were not recording the videos. Recording takes a lot of time when you’re starting out. 😉👍
Lol. Its true. Even though California is a city. The roads are worse than any other. I even met a couple that came from mexico who stated the roades are actually worse.
Still my favorite vehicles. I miss mine so much

We totally understand. It is very nice to have an IROC that’s spent it’s life in California.
I’m in Gilroy! Gonna have to check out the shop. 👍
Awesome guy and awesome fabricator and shop. 👍
I love the Detroit speed 1 inch swaybar in my 87 . It wonders in cornering.control arms been replaced long ago with solid unbranded item.
Your car “wanders” in corners? Or it did wonders? If it wanders, have you checked your steering linkage joints?

Nice! Are you in the Bay Area?
@@CamaroFamily Visited the Bay Area on occasion but actually sending you greetings from the Midwest. Home of hot rods and cold winters!

Looking good and great quality install video
Thanks! I wasn’t able to be onsite, but Scott and Jason did a great job!
Great vid, others mentioned that relocation brackets was something to consider...any thoughts on this?
thats going to be so awesome man
Thanks 🙏 It’s fun!
I’m scared but I will attempt to diy this, safely like y’all said. 😂 Great video.
Thanks 🙏 It was well worth the effort.
one thing at a time,no worries...
It's not difficult at all. The front part is much more "difficult", especially because of the spring.
Yay 3rd gen stuff! Makes me wanna drive mine.
You're famous!
@@CamaroFamily no, no I am not. haha

Can you please show a video on how to install rear side spoilers
Good thought. Are you installing one on a base-model Camaro?
Great parts! DSE is some great stuff!
Yes! They make awesome products! 👍
great vid guys .. parts looks great..
Thanks 🙏
You state that the stamped pan hard bar is a “little bit weaker”. Why is it weaker, what makes it weaker, as opposed to the tubular bar? Thanks
Hey hey, loving the Detroit speed!
They make awesome parts! The car handles so much better and smoother now. 💪
@@CamaroFamily fantastic. I’ll remember that!

89 formula here but I love the vids
Thanks! We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. 👍👍👍
Does the springs need to sit on the perch the same way as the other side?
Yes. There's a correct position for that tang.
@@CamaroFamily what is it?
How do you tighten the bolts with the car on the ground, I can't fit under there as my car sits lower
You could just drive it on a ramp or put the hack under the wheels.
I would love to find another Socal F body. Please let me know if you know anyone selling. Im in Corona
Informative video... but jeez, that looks like alot of work! How long did it take you guys to do it?

anything good requires effort, being lazy is like admitting you are stupid and unwilling to change.
How much does this cost ? And where can I get it for my 89 camaro rs
You’re looking at about $1,250 for this awesome rear suspension from Detroit Speed.
@@CamaroFamily not bad but what about the front ?
@@Ncinsured I guess, it' about double the price or even a bit more.
Pot hole city lol 😂 you should see some of the roads here in NJ looks like a war went down with grenades and land mines on the roads lol

Nope. Tubular.... nah. Solid better
