you should have a lot of holes around the openings to put rubber bumpers like in the glove box!!!!some may be wedge shaped.look around other cars all have them!!!they wouldn’t let me give you the thumbs up 👍 for the good work you’re doing!!!!!
A simple top to the box compartment might be a good idea, keep things from bouncing out on a bump. Could even be made out of stiff cardboard like the original.
Hey Dave, Good job on the glove box. You may want to get a pot switch so you can run it at your desired speed. You want to be able to run the fan at a speed so that it is hot/warm and if it's to fast you won't get any heat out of it. Love the plate mount but you've got to paint that radiator so you don't have it shouting out "HERE I AM" lol It really hurts the look of that beautiful front end. Later
Yes, I should have painted it when I had the chance. Saving up for the proper rad now. I have a speed controller switch on my wish list. Will probably order next pay day.
The Cooper doo hickey weld tip is call a contact tube for purposes of when you need to order. Catching up, few days behind on my watch time.. Cool video Dave peace
My 1966 car came with a carboard box instead of a glove box (Apparently quite common in the USA for classics) I am torn between making one out of metal, wood, plastic or Fiber glass, you did make this look very easy though, and thanks for the inspiration.
Great video Dave, You really need to figure out how to get window regulators and glass in your doors. Other wise you won't even to feel that new heat. What about that guy you went and visited on 1 of your videos, that didn't want to be on camera. Can he help you out with any window/door parts?
I enjoyed the glove box fabrication.
Hey Dave. Good job on the glove box. Thanks for sharing. 🍁👍👍
Back on the fabrication!!! Finally!!! Right on brother! Love the glove box and even placement of the plate!

Welding galvanised steel inside with no respirator. Genius.
Thank you, I pride myself on my geniusness.
I’m liking the glove box fix ...very nice , more winter fun when your car has heat .

After writing the above I am now thinking a breakers yard and modify a glove box from another car, weird or no? do they even just pop out that easy.

Might want to add some cardboard windows to help keep the heat in. 😀 Great progress Dave, keep it up.
There goes the cup holder lol
Nice glove box. You Could be a professional fabricator!
I just realized the old door was a cup holder , when open
Ok so what is on the bare metal to keep from rusting again
