I would have used some thin rubber on the sill plates as the aluminum will scratch real easy and show it, the rubber could be glued with contact cement making it easy to remove.
Gotta love old cardboard glove boxes. My '69 C10 has the original one in it, which is in surprisingly good condition. Just don't put any weight in there haha
Very well done old car I have always wanted one like that but with some of the modern updates like air conditioning and put on a newer frame . But I have too many projects now so I will just enjoy watching stuff like this. Thanks rich.
I used to listen to am 820 when it played country music and you're right the signal was strong... you could get all the way to Napanee. That car is so cool, thanks for videoing the work. That dash is beautiful. Cheers
You should be type power supply. The vibrator looks like a small metal can. they stick. Turn on the radio and tap on it if you aren't hearing the buzzing sound. Sometimes that will unstick them.
Still have it and bought an OM605 Mercedes diesel to swap into it. Planning to go a green with the wood panel kit and start a year from now. Unless you want to buy it...
Tubes are not highly durable. Fixed a TV, my father was a TV repairman, I hit a serious bump delivering, "broke" the internals of a tube. Dad said it happens often. Early 70's.

Love old stuff. Tubes are highly durable. That radio should work. Wonder if the antena isn't connected inside the radio box correctly.
Beautiful car, nice work as always Rich. I used to really enjoy listening to comedians when I had satellite radio.
We listen to funny 820 every day on the way to my shop!!!!!
Keep up the good work . Always great videos

George Wallace Wall something like this with a vintage air kit would be nearing perfection

Erated78 I enjoy 820 funny after listening to country all day. But it was better when it was a country station.
Cool car I love stuff from this era
My favourite looking car it looks amazing
AvE might be able to fix that radio just right down the road, eh.
AustrianAnarchy or completely dicker it.
The Rustiest Shackleford
Life is full of tradeoffs!
Maybe check if the antenna works properly ? Could not be picking up signal
They have AM radio in Canada now? The more you know ...
Glovebox on my 65 fastback is cardboard too! So many weird little things on these old American cars

Love the car... Check the antenna connection at the back of the radio. It may be that simple.
Buy a roll of rubber door step like for the house. Check Home Depot. You can cut to size. There several with different size grooves. RC
that is a nice car
I’ve been driving my 66 chevelle around for the last 2 years without insurance lol.
Swingy thingys
What did you do with the fleetmaster convertible?
Still have it and bought an OM605 Mercedes diesel to swap into it. Planning to go a green with the wood panel kit and start a year from now. Unless you want to buy it...

I bet the Radio is 6V and the 12V killed it
It was converted to 12V. I may be good looking, but I'm not stupid
My idea of a car!!!

Sad to see nice old cars sitting in the garage or outside not being enjoyed
Maybe something for Mr Carlson's Lab
Buy RUBBER Door Sill mats, instead of Alumimum. LOTS CHEAPER.
