Hi. I signed up to Paul's paid membership a month ago after a lot of debating back and forth with myself: Is it worth it, will I enjoy it, will I learn?' And the answer is yes! So, if anyone else is on the fence about buying the paid lessons, do it! And here's why: I am a SpanishwithPaul youtubevideo watcher for almost a year and am now a paid member. 1. Don't worry, what he is teaching works in Spain too. (I live in Barcelona, Spain). 2. His program is laid out beautifully and skillfully where each lesson builds onto the next. 3. The categories are broken down into bite size lessons so you can stop when you need and pick back up easily. 4. After a lesson: there are lots of examples helping cement the topic. 5. If you watch his free weekly lessons and don't know if you will get anything from his paid membership - yes you will. His free lessons only touch the surface of what this program has. I am kicking myself "Why didn't I start sooner?!' My Spanish has grown more with his lessons than it ever did living right here in Spain. Thank you Paul!
spanishwithpaul.com/ click here. Enter your name and email and immediately you will be forwarded to the landing page where everything you want to know about the course and registration. I am thinking seriously to enroll early next month as I want to build up a strong foundation and will accompany my studying with stories readings
The best thing about Paul's teaching is that he takes the fear of speaking sentences away. I have been learning Spanish for a year and only after I stumbled onto Paul's courses I became confident about sentences together. All the sudden, I felt like yeah, I could speak some meaningful Spanish!
I am a beginner. Started learning Spanish 3 weeks ago, I am constanly looking for the best teachers and formulas to acquire the language ASAP. ....Having just "discovered " you, I instantly saw the light at the end of the tunnel. PERFECT LESSONS !
You couldn’t have written truer words in your accompanying Email. This lesson is a perfect example of your teaching methods. A verb that is essential to us all the time. Many thanks Paul.
I have genuinely learnt more in a matter of weeks from your videos than I did with months of other material. I was learning new words previously and memorising sentences but I am now beginning to understand sentence structure allowing me to apply what I have learnt else where.
here in Spain I've got used to using the verb "recordar" which most people seem to use....and it's easier than using this reflexive verb ....."acordar " I use for agreeing with something....
I am currently learning French but to brush off my Spanish I sometimes listen to your lessons. Your way of teaching is THE BEST. I wish all the languages were taught this way.
I have been learning Spanish with you for a year with my husband and you are the best teacher for us so far. We say “thank you ,thank you, thank you” for creating this job opportunity for yourself and for helping us be able to go forward with our plans in the Spanish field.
Gracias, muchas gracias. *thumps up I've been struggling to get just one of 10 translations (sentences from English to Spanish at Duolingo) correct until I found and watched this video yesterday and today I got all questions right the first time! *big smile But it's not "just" the material that is perfect, so is Paul's voice, and it might sound a little crazy, but it means more to most of us than we might realize. Especially when listening and learning things where you have to concentrate on the things that are said, it's SO important the voice itself is really nice to listen to. *I'm not kidding smile NB I'm a quiet, very easy-going and nice person, but I've listened to a recording with me talking and I was shocked and couldn't believe it was really ME...?!! My voice would be perfect in cartoons to portray the wicked stepmom in Cinderella, the evil monster's even more evil stepmom or simply a narcissistic and very rich Housewife in Beverly Hills.... ) *evil smile
So happy to receive your email about your you tube channel. Got back from Peru recently. Will be getting back to my lesseons soon. I kept talking to people throughout my travels about what an incredible teacher you are. Dar
Hi Paul...Although I’m a subscriber to your paid course, I still really love your Monday weekly UA-cam lessons. I sincerely hope that you will continue these lessons and not cut back. They are efficient & introduce short useful concepts to try out with my Mexican friends. Thanx, Keith Bris
Paul thanks so much for being such an amazing teacher. I listen to your videos every day since I found your videos! I am actually german, but your course is explained much better then any other german ones I found. Regards from Munich
I signed up for your course last month Paul. I'm glad you said to start from the beginning even if we know some Spanish. It's really helping me to fill in the gaps (in learning). Thank you!
I have been enjoying practicing Spanish with Paul on UA-cam videos. I have used lots of tutors, classes, dvds... but I really enjoy the way Paul teaches, plus he has a super calming voice. I’m going to look at the cost of enrolling, I would like to advance my basic Spanish. Despite knowing a lot of words, making a sentence is difficult. And even when I do, I often don’t understand what is said to me in return.... Help!
Awesome video! This helps my husband and I a lot. Do you have any videos on how to use the verb tocar? Our Spanish friends say " te tocas", "me toca" etc etc and we just can't wrap our heads around it yet.... much appreciated!
I'm native spanish speaker, and we no only use the verb "me acuerdo" is most comun say "recuerdo" exemple " no me acuerdo de tu direccion" or " no recuerdo tu direccion"
You can use "recordar" interchangeably with "acordarse" as long as you remember that "recordar" does not take "de" and cannot be used in the reflexive form. So you can say either "me acuerdo de ella" or "recuerdo ella" with no practical difference in meaning.
But he drops the de when using 'me acuerdo dónde está ...' I'm baffled why they have reflexive verbs if you can say the same thing just using a conjugated infinitive verb. Can anybody explain ?
i'm definitely not the spanish pro around here but it seems to me they just have multiple ways of piecing together a sentence that all say the same thing, just as in english.
Recordar se utiliza muy poco, es muy especifico el uso que puede tener, Ejemplo: Puedo recordar cuando tenia un perro. I can remember when i had a dog. O podria ser: "Recuerdo que cuando era chico me gustaba dibujar"
Scary Hi there, we use the same words Recordar or Acordarse. Both verbs are used a lot and you can use them with the same meaning. It is the same. Just if you use Recordar you have to use Lo...... Lo recuerdo or No lo recuerdo. If you use Acordarse , then you have to use Me ..... Me acuerdo o No me acuerdo( that’s for the first singular noun Yo) I hope you can understand a little bit better.
bought the course, super helpful, actually learning Spanish from it so thanks. a couple of things i wonder though: what happened to the comments section in the members area on your page? any idea when the course is gonna be finished and uploaded in entirety? thanks!
Paul, I think I remember one of your earlier lessons where you use the word 'de' to change the meaning of its preceding word. Acabo DE llegar hoy. Is this another example where that small word 'de' makes all the difference to the meaning of the sentence. Thanks, Steve from the UK
Buenas noches, Senor ! Mi nombre Heri. Yo Vivo en Cipatujah. Es muy importante para mi, porque me gusta aprender El Espanol todos los Dias. Ahora qreo Que me acuerdo de El leccione. Me gustaria de saber Todo sobre El Espanol. Gracias por ayudarme Ahora. Tengo Que saber mucho. Hasta manana.
I was taught to use "lo que" instead when placing a "what" in the middle of a sentence. Does that not apply here? example - Me acuerdo de lo que paso as opposed to Me acuerdo de que paso.
"Estoy de acuerdo" = "I agree" and not "I am in agreement" "Tengo frío" = "I'm cold" and not "I have cold" ("I have a cold" = "Tengo gripe") The sooner we realize it's only a few sentences we can translate word by word, the easier it will become to learn new languages. But we'll still be confused about many things, especially the grammar. F.x: Irregular verbs! Uy! ;)
Either "recuerdo" or "me acuerdo" work well. For instance: "Me acuerdo de tu nombre" or "Recuerdo tu nombre" Both of them mean the same. "I remember your name."

I am guyanese,l have learnt so much from your lesson, thank you
Mucha gracias, ahora me acuerdo de cómo esta.😘
Thanks Paul
Thank you for the lesson, Profe. Anyway you can explain how to use "se suponía que"?
Quizas te pueda ayudar.
"se suponia que" se utiliza para hablar sobre algo que la otra persona deberia de haber hecho pero que no hizo.
*Ejemplo*: Le dijiste a un amigo que salga a comprar y cuando vuelva que te compre las entradas para ir al cine, cuando vuelve tu amigo no trajo las entradas.
Entonces vos dirias: *Se suponia que traerias las entradas*
Espero que te haya servido, saludos!

what happened to the comments section in the members area on your page?

Amazing
so recordar and acordarse we can use them both at anytime or does one apply to a rule
Paul, I think I remember one of your earlier lessons where you use the word 'de' to change the meaning of its preceding word. Acabo DE llegar hoy. Is this another example where that small word 'de' makes all the difference to the meaning of the sentence. Thanks, Steve from the UK

Can I use recurda for remember too
me gusta leer con paul pero creo que hablar espanol un poco ; gracias paul
Good stuff here
good class
I was taught to use "lo que" instead when placing a "what" in the middle of a sentence. Does that not apply here? example - Me acuerdo de lo que paso as opposed to Me acuerdo de que paso.
If I check the dictionaire remember is recuerdar. Is this the difference between mexican and spanish spanish?
Paul is better than Google Translate. "No shit Sherlock," I hear you say.
estamos esperando nuevos videos
😍😍😍😍
I get confused with i am in agreement..
"Estoy de acuerdo" = "I agree" and not "I am in agreement"
"Tengo frío" = "I'm cold" and not "I have cold" ("I have a cold" = "Tengo gripe")
The sooner we realize it's only a few sentences we can translate word by word, the easier it will become to learn new languages. But we'll still be confused about many things, especially the grammar. F.x: Irregular verbs! Uy! ;)
Si me acuerdo de ti
No me acuerdo de ella
Si, me acuerdo de su nombre
No me acuerdo donde esta
I feel smarter now
Süper süper süper
Habla claro
when we used te,ti,tu or me,mi,
Why can’t we say te recuerdo? What’s the deference between recuerdo and acuerdo?
No me acuerdo de nada
I thought I remember was recuerdo
Sheila McGarry That's like 'remind'.
Either "recuerdo" or "me acuerdo" work well. For instance: "Me acuerdo de tu nombre" or "Recuerdo tu nombre"
Both of them mean the same. "I remember your name."
Where you been Paul!! We miss you
The same word with agreement 🤔🤷
No creo que me aquerdo de nada de esta leccion.
