You will be surprised, but Russia is not really such a religious country as it is presented everywhere. Most people do not believe in God, some believe "because it is fashionable" (judging by the cars parked near the church) and only a small part are true believers. But this is EVERYWHERE.

The exchange rate or the cost of items is irrelevant. How much money do you get paid in your country. Do you get my point?
Yes, how many minutes, hours, does one need to work to buy a certain product.
Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope the politicians will come to an agreement, ordinary people have nothing to share) 👍🇷🇺🇬🇧🇺🇸
1 liter of Russian Standard would be about 30.00 USD
Really?? 5 years ago it was ~ $10

So here it would be $9:00

Unbelievable!!! Dozen eggs price was $2.50 in NJ 5.5 years ago...
@@Donaldperson7 In the USA the chickens got a big salary increase, and the cost is being passed on to consumers.
Those cheeses look great and prices don't look too high at all.
For people getting $

Sam, have you ever seen irony of fate,
I could not afford many gifts this 🎄 Christmas things are a bit tight
I do enjoy watching your videos our stores here seem a bit boring as the American pallet is not quite diverse
In WA state we have to have eggs from cage free chickens so they are more expensive 3,50 to 5 dollars a doz
When I can I buy my eggs from locals selling them. From well cared chickens 🎉🎉
Eggs here in Alabama ,USA are 6 dollars a dozen .Good Luck on your diet ,Stevia is a very safe alternative to sugar,I am tryin to stay away from sugar too !
Relatively speaking it's cheaper than Russia, remember they earn significantly less
Stevia will be forbidden soon as a supplement.
Greetings my friend , HAPPY NEW YEAR 🇷🇺🤘
Same to you! Happy New Year (soon)
Omg! Awesome store!
This store is similar to Walmart in the US.
If there’s no buyers how do you think the owners of stores with this huge inventory can afford to continue to stock the shelves and keep their employees employed? I visit Walmart everyday weekend in Chicago and most of the time the store is not full with people. Every shopping center has peaked hours. I don’t like to shop during peak hours. Don’t be surprised and happy at the same time because you don’t see crowd.
Keto diet? Hope everything's fine with your health. Happy New Year & move to your new house!🎉❤
I have been eating way too much sugar lately and I think I could be on the verge of being diabetic!
Sam, I'm not sure, if you are not taking the Mickey ouf of your viewers from, say, Texas or California, when showing those slege or banya things, The sledge thing is called "ледянка" [ledyanka] in Russian btw.
It's like a walmart in the states!
Notice the difference between the two? There's public etiquette in the Slavic cultures.
I was wondering if Sam noticed fresh flowers and didn’t film them or, if they can’t get such things.
06:30 "I put my fifty rubles here..." - puttung hundred ruble bill😂
It was a 50!
if you stop the image you see the number 50 on the banknote
@@SamsRussianAdventuresyeah, sorry😂 My bad. I guess they slighly changes the design. The last time I used it was 10 years ago))
$84 dollars will not get very much in a US supermarket, or even in a gift shop.

Love you're video 👍thanks you Sam happy new year
That's what I'm talking about. 😀 That's a nice volume of nice and expensive vodka.
Sam, have a good New Year's Eve! 🎄☃🎉
That place is insane how many products you have there?
It was quite surprising to me, I would say there is more than enough food for everyone. But it’s not my favourite shop.
Funny Sam! Exactly the same format here in Minsk except.... The Isles there are clear! Drives me mad in Minsk, any supermarket, that the isles are always fettered by employees stocking shelves! And they are always far more important than any customer! 🥴 Give me an Aldi or a Lidl in Europe, any day!
Aisles. Just saying.
@StaMel604 You're absolutely right! Humble apologies! I've been living here too long and I seldom talk to anyone now!
Wishing Sam a happy healthy New Year 2025 with God's blessings. The shopping mall is awesome, pretty miniature cars, lovely flower decorated pans tea pots that I have not seen since ages in our country Indonesia😂. Pet houses are cute. Your selected gifts are very beautiful. This is called bankruptcy by the western sanctions. Thanks Sam for your walk around the best shopping mall. God bless your hard work. 😃🐈👑
It looks like an older Walmart Supercenter where most of the stuff you buy is made in China.😁
Nope. Most of foods (except for tropical fruits) are produced in Russia. Moreover, it is China who is bying foods from Russia.
That's a huge market , bigger than anything in my area in Wisconsin , U.S.A.
The amount of choice and variety is crazy.. I must correct.. the amount of choice is insane.. wow
I was shocked and quite surprised at how expensive some of the basic foods are in your part of the world. Would it be that sanctions have made an impact on Russian prices or is it that Macron is trying to make a few euros, I wonder? Russian alcohol looks like to be the the only cheaper product from what I can make out.
What exactly?))
Finally
Low carb diets work wonders. Especially because you cut sugars. Stick to it and combine it with frequent workouts and salads. Worked great for me!
i like these videos Sam its amazing we pay 3and 4 and more here in australia for the same items as in Russia and you have a better choice
The shopping carts with money are now almost in entire Europe.
All the prices are significantly cheaper.
So are salaries
Are most stuff made in China?
I would think food stuff is mostly from Russia. Non food articles are probably mostly Chinese
it is a cheap to average supermarket, so probably 50% of non food goods are from China.

Happy Holidays Sam!!⭐️💕🎄

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! I wish you a great new year!
Maybe a title photo showing FULL shelves would have been better? but a good watch nonetheless.
I'm on a carnivore diet Sam, but I do break the rules for Christmas and Birthday's. I'm in my 70s, so it doesn't matter much, but I do feel the "glucose spiking".😂

Thanks for all your practical videos of your country. They are all fascinating!
Thise sanxtionsare really worjing😂😂😂😂😂😂
Which sanctions you mean?

this IS fascinating to be sure, but like in America, we too have packed supermarkets but the trick is CAN you afford to buy anything?
Well, Russia is not much different from the rest of the world in this respect. In my small town, the shelves with sausages are filled with goods, but I can only look at most of them or choose how much my pension will be reduced. 😁
Sam, you're about 3 years late hyping on this ))
UA-cam seems to like these videos. Look at how many others have done sanctions videos. 1 guy just did a shopping centre after sanctions and got 100k views in 1 day!!!!
"Russia" and "sanctions" are the key buzzwords I imagine ))
@ I think people like to compare reality with what they have been told and also to see how things compare to where they live.
@@SamsRussianAdventures maybe, but there have been so many videos on different channels about this over the past 3 years or so. In terms of the viewings, I imagine the search words do the trick.
@@RomanVarl it's not about search words. It's about the content, as Sam says. For me it is also interesting to compare with where I live, and it is the same for the other people.
Because if people are not interested in a topic - no search word will help you.
