I do have a question that I don’t see mentioned in these videos, where are the dryers typically in these apartments and how rare are both a washer and a dryer in an apartment?
I dunno about those smaller apartments, but in regular ones you'll pretty much always have a washing machine which also has a drying function. Afaik actual separate dryers aren't a common thing in Russia.
Nowadays it's a combo - washer and dryer in one unit. PS. personally I hate these "eco" dryers but it's getting harder and harder to buy good old school dryer.
Very nice building and brand new in a great location. Closer to the size of a hotel room though than an apartment. I could live there for maybe 3 to 6 months temporarily but then would need more space. It wasn't mentioned if this apartment building has any other amenities either like a gym, etc.

Dear Mr. Russell, the studios apartements in Moscow, the new studios, are VERY, VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE and I wonder how is possible to live there the majority of russian people !!! Here in Greece and especially in Athens, in a very good suburb very near to the sea (a rich suburb), in second floor and a apartement of 4 rooms (big salon and 3 bedrooms, big separate kitchen and 2 bathrooms, very big balcons), a building of 10 years old like a new building, the rent is about 800 euros !!! Of course are more expensive than Russia, the prices of electricity, water, telephone and internet. And of course the conditions in Health and Education in Greece are not better than Russia. That's all. Thank You very much.
Really beautiful building and i love that studio, great design but i think rent is pretty high or maybe thats normal price in new builts? I love these apartment tours.👌🥰
It is, indeed. Thing is, 20% yearly interest rate makes it impossible to take a loan of $200 000+ for these apartments rn. OK, maybe $150 000 for this one. Well, anyway, it creates a demand pressure for the rental market so prices went up considerably in the last 6 months.
9:17. In the states we put the laundry(&dryer) in the closet, not bathroom. I think it's better this way. The bathroom would have a sink with doors below for bathroom storage.
About 387 Australian Dollars per week. In Sydney Australia we pay 740 per week for a one bedroom in a good area shops and schools but to jump 200 per weekly in Sydney. Russel is to much here. . Not to mention electricity almost double per quarter and gas then water. Just far to much. As law is not to pay this electricity gas at a fraction of this price only. It's shameful. Thank you, Russel. Great video we like to see if not any problem a two-room Moscow new for rental be very good. All the best and Merry Christmas 🎅 🌟 Hugs from down under. ✨🎄✨☦️🌹🇷🇺
You're doing a great job on these videos, and I love the apartment tours, but I would also love to see the neighborhoods they're in if you could showcase that as well.
Yes, it is very luxurious but I would say it is 1000 dollars a month. probably 18-20 m2. It is for short time rentals as you don't have a desk to work at.
The new modern apartment you showed 3 days ago was much nicer. What I don't like about this one, is that one has the bed in the kitchen. I suppose if one owned the apartment, one could furnish it differently and it could be very nice.
I can't complain about this, since I love the series, but let's be real, a 2-3 bedroom apartment would look better, then we can see how an average family lives and rent prices.
In germany this kind of houses are called "wohnsilo" residential silo. It is not very popular but it is affordable. This silo´s are often in bad conditions in germany.
I’m wondering if they have 1-2 bedrooms apartments for sale and how much. Nice and modern looking buildings. The price for the studio in my opinion quite high, but it’s my own opinion. Thank you Russell. Mary Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your wife!
Of course, 2-room apartments from about $ 220,000 and above are for sale, 4-room apartments from $ 300,000 and above, there are studios and apartments from 1 to 4 rooms, square meters from 26 to 103 (Google translate) :)
Judging by the internal structure of the building, it looks like an apartment in a commercial building (hotel style) rather than an apartment in a residential building. Is the "Amsterdam Tower" a commercial building or a residential building? According to the information I found, it is a commercial building and accordingly the apartments there are rented/sold as apartments in a commercial building.... FYI In Russia there is a legal distinction between these two types. The main difference is that the resident of an apartment in a commercial building cannot have permanent registration at the place of residence, only temporary (up to 5 years)...
But I really can’t, and not for the apartment in itself but because those chicken coops buildings and neighbourhoods are all alike and very similar to the ones of the soviet era. Isn’t Russia the largest country on earth? Why then build so high and tight.
Canadian here. With the supposedly housing crisis, Canada could definitely need to build more of these types of units. They could be a little bit bigger, but as a single person myself who doesn't need much space. Affordability would be another cause of concern. How many working homeless out there that just can't afford a place to call home
That's handy having a pull out sofa bed right where you walk in. Imagine if you were in a hurry to get out at night and forgot the sofa bed was open, lol.
You should understand that UA-cam in Russia does not pay an author for views. What is it that Russell accepts an offer from realtors to advertise rental housing in his releases? Does it, for sure, It's not free, but why can't he make money from his content? Send him donations, support him financially, and only then will you get the right to reproach him for something! Personally, I understand his situation, and I wish you the same. As for apartments with 3-4 rooms? And who invited him? Or should he pay the apartment owners out of his own pocket for the pleasure of watching his review? Be realistic and appreciate the work of Russell, who has been trying for many years to satisfy the curiosity of complete strangers, simply because he is a good person. Happy New Year to all Russell's subscribers, and happiness and health to him and his family!!!
I can’t imagine myself living in a apartment without a balcony. Here in Croatia if it’s not an really old building they all have it. For that reason i find it very claustrofobic even to watch. I could spend a few nights in a need, but i would’t want to live there.
Airbnb maybe. Not suitable for family. I had such apprtment as student. It can be your 2nd apprtment if you live in another city but do business in Moscow.
It's going to be listed as a monthly rental for now. It would also work as a daily rental as well. Especially as its full furnished, right now to the knives and forks.
Great vlog, Russell. Come on mate, it's a dunny, loo, or even a toilet. Bathroom is puritanical Americanism. I'm referring to the toilets on the ground floor by the lifts. Every time I have American guests round at my place, I'm prepared and will greet them at the door with bath towels and soap because I know they'll want to use my bath, although I only have a shower, at some time during their visit. Just wondering what Russians call the dunny. I bet they're not so coy as our American cousins! Keep up the interesting vlogs from Russia so we can see Russians are just ordinary folk like us and haven't got two heads like they're portrayed in the West.
It reminds me of apartments in Toronto. Personally, it feels more like a hotel suite than a flat. I used to live in a studio and hated to have kitchen in the same space as bedroom. The giant bed is what I once had in Canada I hated it. I prefer a Murphy bed to such a space or a loft bed with a desk below the bed. I will prefer to have two rooms or 1 bedroom in a less fancy building from 80s or 90s and own furniture. I wonder how the floor to ceiling windows are practical for the Russian winter. I had this in a short-term stay in Calgary, Canada and it was a nightmare with -20. Unless windows are of excellent terman isolation quality. I think this is amazing, business-class short-term stay. Not so good for long term, for me at least.
I like this one better, a balcony would be great but that big window makes it not feel claustrophobic. We have a 1/1 bedroom apt in FL since downsizing. Its 685 sq ft and still feels small. Bedroom, bathroom, stacking washer/dryer and living area plus a sliding glass door to a large patio runs $1529.00 but we are trying to pay off debt before retirement and moving afterwards.
you can buy literally whatever you want here, but prices for western brands which “left” are 15-25% higher than it used to be prior to sanctions - the goods come from other countries now (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, et cetera)
While this brand-new Russian apartment looks modern and appealing, do you think having 29 floors is practical in terms of elevator wait times and maintenance costs? Or do you think high-rises are the future for urban living?
I like the heated floors and the furnishings but the layout bugs me. The kitchen should face where the couch is, and the couch should be replaced with the breakfast eating area. Maybe change the bed out for a futon and it give that small space a much better layout. Just my opinion though. Thanks for the Russia apartment vids! Price was probably cheaper there than where I am (Los Angeles) lol
This looks very similar to flats constructed in the docklands area of London. They are always overpriced and very small. But you basically pay for concierge and various communal areas which cost a lot to maintain. There is a huge problem in London with such flats because of very high services charges that go out of control and bankrupt those who bought such flats. UK operates a very weird "leasehold" system, so many people who paid millions for such flats and think the "own" them do not actually own them. They are leasing them on long term basis and can loose these flats easily if one of the many bills is not paid as an example.
Thank you for the tour. Twenty years ago I rented a slightly larger apartment in Alexandria VA next to Washington DC. I paid a little more for rent and the apartment had a separate bedroom and glass enclosed dining room. I experienced no security with the brakes on my car being tampered with and my apartment being entered when I was not at home. I lived there during 911 and the building was attacked with an elevator being ransacked in the basement. It appeared a terrorist lived next door and no matter how many times I reported it nothing was done. The bay windows was not completely installed and on the eighteenth floor was open to the sky. The refrigerator was the cheapest and rattled all the time. I was harassed by the neighbor who replaced the terrorist and I painted a Nazi Swastika in the hallway. From my dinning room I could see the Pentagon, the White House, the Capital and the Federal District.
I think the dog room is for dogs to do their business when it’s too cold or the owner is hurried. It would serve no purpose for cats- they use a litter box. I would think if you could afford to live there you’d go to the groomers.
Hi Russel. In your future visits to these types of 'typical?' New builds, please ask what type of residents that they they are aiming for and expecting to attract? It is a nice little studio flat... but 'Business class?' Let's not kid ourselves! It certainly seems as if we are seeing a 'gentrification' process going on in Moscow for a newly planned working demographic... and who is that!

You couldn't swing a cat in there Russell. A country boy like me needs something a little bigger, lol.
What an interesting building! I'd love to stay there for a few nights when I travel to Moscow next time.
Great price !!! In London you need to add minimum £1000 for a studio.
Lucky to live in such a rich country ❗️
You're doing a great job on these videos, and I love the apartment tours, but I would also love to see the neighborhoods they're in if you could showcase that as well.
Yes, it is very luxurious but I would say it is 1000 dollars a month. probably 18-20 m2. It is for short time rentals as you don't have a desk to work at.
Can you try and cover more houses 🙏
Super !!!
The new modern apartment you showed 3 days ago was much nicer. What I don't like about this one, is that one has the bed in the kitchen. I suppose if one owned the apartment, one could furnish it differently and it could be very nice.
Could we see something bigger than a studio in this class of apartment? Thanks!
How nice! Amsterdam is the town where I live 🙄
The appartements are very small !
Was just looking at this area of moscow on yandex street view yesterday, what a coincidence
Please show us single homes on property with a garage and at least a garden house shed. That would be excellence!
If i can find an agent who sales these types of homes.
Whatvi have seen, iam ready to move in . This is awesome!
Love all your videos 🤗it looks really nice and clean. It would be great to see a 2 bedroom
Tell 'em they're dreaming!
I would like to say very nice 👌
But I really can’t, and not for the apartment in itself but because those chicken coops buildings and neighbourhoods are all alike and very similar to the ones of the soviet era. Isn’t Russia the largest country on earth? Why then build so high and tight.
Great one 🎉
Do people live in actual houses in or around Moscow? Seems like it's all shared living spaces.
The very wealthy do
10:24 no Russell you were right the first time it’s Xbox
Canadian here. With the supposedly housing crisis, Canada could definitely need to build more of these types of units. They could be a little bit bigger, but as a single person myself who doesn't need much space. Affordability would be another cause of concern. How many working homeless out there that just can't afford a place to call home
Very nice. About electricity gas? Doorman? In Milan or Rome it s not to easy that price so luxury. Thank you 🙏
Дверцы холодильника нужно перевесить, сейчас они открываются на неудобную сторону.
Very nice,keep it up....
Love Russia 🇷🇺 🇮🇳❤️
Cute home ❤😊😍
Studio, a bit small for me. It’s very modern though. Thank you nevertheless for the video. Greetings from Sydney
That's handy having a pull out sofa bed right where you walk in. Imagine if you were in a hurry to get out at night and forgot the sofa bed was open, lol.
Boy Russell you show Russia as a very great place love it need to come there.thanks for a great video
Russell can only show what he is invited to show. It's not like he can barge into people's apartments. Be nice people. ❤
@@TravellingwithRussell It should work like that, good for business trips or couples as tourists.
I like all the gold accents
Too small but thanks for showing!
I would be interested to see some affordable apartments in St. Petersburg.
Russell, what did you mean by most people don't receive mail anymore? Just curious, thank you. Great video,as usual. 968 Dollars a month!? Great price!
Рассел показывает только то , что он арендовал на один день ! 😂
😂
Truly beautiful, very interesting to see! ❤
Pretty 🇷🇺✨☃️❄️🌟
Really nice!
It's quite small. It looks like a business class hotel room. That price seems expensive for Russia. But it is nicely presented.
This apartment is real nice, even though I liked the last en you showed more.
It’s very classy 👍🏻 but too pricey for the little size
Love it!
Looks very nice and reasonably priced but I would like a bigger place.
Premier Inn 😃
