Your husband is so right about being in the moment, a perfect way to be!!! I loved this video, your choice of music just drew me in, and your filmmaking is stunning!!! Thank you for letting me share Italy with you both, what a special, blessed life you lead!!!
Lovely visuals and sounds; as usual. Your videos are like jewelled journals. Siena looks so beautiful. Wonderful architecture. A dream. You two, are so cute and romantic. What memories, you are making 🌟👌✨I find living in the moment so calming and immersive. Wonderful share and enjoy the rest of your adventure 🙏🌷🪻🌷🙌
Oooh this was lovely! I am always so impressed with your beautiful filming and storytelling Sam! Thank you for allowing us to come along to Tuscany with you! Brings back so many good memories of when I met my husband there in 2005 ❤
Thank you Marloes! We had so much fun in Italy and I can’t wait to return. I love that you met your husband there 😍 you guys must have some amazing stories!
Sam, your videos, editing, music, and storytelling skills are so impressive! I left my couch and escaped to Tuscany with you. Thanks for letting me tag along. I love Tuscany!
So glad you made it to Italy Sam! It is such an amazing country! It’s so funny, I am in Lucca right now just an hour and a half from Siena! We will be here for a week exploring the Tuscan countryside. So happy you are enjoying yourself! I hope you are not too taken aback by the crowds in Florence because it is such a wonderful city! Just left there…my second visit there.❤
Ingrid! I am so happy to hear you are in Italy! How exciting, I hope you are having the best time exploring. I didn't make it to Lucca but it looks beautiful. I honestly was very overwhelmed in Florence, haha.
How spectacular is the Duomo in Siena! I had the same reaction( emotional) as you, being inside. When you open those massive doors and enter, seeing the black+ white striped walls and all of the lapis it’s overwhelming! The town of Siena is small but really incredible.Had one of the best meals of my 4 visits to Italy,in Siena.BTW enjoying seeing you and Paul together in your posts, very sweet.
I am glad you felt the same emotions I did, there is so many details and it really takes your breathe away. This is definitely the one place I could return to, I really loved it here. Thanks for watching and sharing your experiences with me.
What in the thicker beard is going on here😂?! It looks good on you Paul, so distinguished! And just so totally in love with the shots of you two between all the door ways! That should be one of your travel collages..."the doorways to love."
😂😂😂 he’s growing out his beard and hair. I’m excited to see the scruffiness 😍 Miss you friend, I can’t wait to show you around when you’re able to make it this way.
Beautiful video once again, Sam! Brings back so many wonderful memories, thanks. I remember waking up very early one morning in Siena and looking out the window of the room my son and I had rented. I was a little shocked at how beautiful the scene was. I could see Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico surrounded by trees (olive? oak?). What struck me most was the COLORS. Beautiful tan, orange and many shades of green in the different species of trees. Then I remembered people have raved about the light in Tuscany. I just googled: "The light in Tuscany seems to shine from within the landscape itself, as if the hills and valleys were infused with their own luminosity." D. H. Lawrence. So very, very true! As far as why we're happy when we travel, I think Paul's right about it encouraging us to live in the moment. Travel also makes me say to myself, over and over, "Holy cow, there is so much beauty in the world just waiting to be seen that I knew absolutely nothing about! Why am I so focused on so much other gunk that doesn't really even matter???"
Thank you Will! Isn’t it so magical! You are absolutely right, the lighting and how lush and green it is, it’s such a gift from Mother Nature! So happy you have already experienced Siena as well, I always love hearing about you and your son’s adventure. Have a lovely week!
Being a person who just started travelling across europe I also sometimes plan to visit tuscany but then I think it would be better to go there after I find someone as my partner😅 because tusacany has just so romantic and chill vibes. Loved this vlog by the way, waiting for the florence part.
You should go, I am sure doing a solo trip is just as special. Plus you have full control on what you want to do! Thanks for watching and I hope you are enjoying Europe.
Paul is totally right, travel makes us happy for many good reasons, by rewiring our brain and building new neural pathways! Any tips for long road trip and driving long distances?

Hi Brenda! It was such a wonderful trip and so many memories were made ☺️ I’m so happy to hear you got to go to Bali! That sounds so so lovely, I hope to experience it myself one day. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Avete mangiato i famosi “Pici”. E’un tipo di pasta tradizionale toscana. Pici all’aglione (è un aglio meno forte).Intorno a Siena ci sono tantissimi paesi da vedere e tante zone termali. Dovete ritornare per stare più tempo.
So , recap: You like pasta( pici all'aglione), you like bruschetta (brusketta) with tomatoes, maybe not the stain on your gown, you love Siena, so.....when are you going to buy a house here? I have one for you 😉
I apologize but I have to point out some things to you: they say "IL dolce far niente", "LA dolce far niente" is wrong; Siena is a medieval city, NOT a renaissance one, there are no renaissance sculptures; CH in Italian is pronounced like K, so Venchi is pronounced Venki, not Venci; the she-wolf breastfeeding the twins represents the myth of the foundation of Rome by Romolo and Remo, raised by a she-wolf and the connection with Siena is caused by the legend which states that the founders of the city were Senio and Ascanio, sons of Remo and fled from Rome to save their lives. Enjoy Tuscany!.
Thanks Paolo, I guess I’m getting my French and Italian mixed up 🤦🏽♀️ I’ll change it in the thumbnail 😉 We looked up the story about the she-wolf when we were in the square but didn’t share that part on camera so thanks for sharing it here.☺️
Your husband is so right about being in the moment, a perfect way to be!!! I loved this video, your choice of music just drew me in, and your filmmaking is stunning!!! Thank you for letting me share Italy with you both, what a special, blessed life you lead!!!

Beautiful City. I love the architecture so much. Is Italian easier to understand than French since it sounds more Latin than French?
Oh Rocco, I fell in love with Sienna 😍 I can’t wait to return. I think learning Italian would’ve been easier for me 😂
@@SamFournier So beautiful!!
This makes me so excited to travel Europe with my man soon 🥲 looks incredible!!!!
