ITALIAN STREET FOOD in Tuscany 🇮🇹 1.5kg Florentine Steak + PANINI INSANITY in Siena, Italy!!

- This is Siena, an ancient Tuscan town which has become a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has a ton of amazing things to offer… One of which being DELICIOUS ITALIAN STREET FOOD!
For breakfast, we went deep into Siena’s historical centre to Gino Cacino di Angelo for their famous paninis. We ordered their eggplant specialty panino, and their porchetta panino. It was a perfect breakfast! You can also order amazing charcuterie boards and a wide variety of Italian wines. After a little sightseeing around the medieval squares, we stopped at a local caffe for a double espresso (doppio espresso). For lunch, we went to a super local “hole-in-the-wall” restaurant called Osteria Il Grattacielo dal 1840. For lunch here, there is no menu and you order either the “cold” lunch (Tuscan cured meats & cheeses) or the “hot” lunch (pasta). We both opted for the hot lunch, and had two different kinds of tagliatelle - one with pesto and the other with pomodoro and cheese. We washed it all down with the house wine, which was the best wine we had in all of Italy. For dessert we tried a unique treat called Cantucci e Vin Santo. The cantucci is essentially biscotti and Vin Santo is a strong, sweet wine. They pair by dipping the cantucci into the vin santo, which was surprisingly good!
Since it was our last day in Italy, we popped into a traditional wine shop called Cantina in Piazza and picked out several bottles of Tuscany and Italian wines to bring home. After a short break, we drove outside the city of Siena to the countryside of Tuscany. There, we went to a restaurant that specializes in Bistecca alla Fiorentina. This massive chunk of steak is seared on high heat briefly and is served shortly after almost raw. You can choose different types of beef, whether you prefer bone in/out and how many KGs you would like. We also ordered their risotto, since we didn’t have the chance to try it in Milan.
Addresses:
Gino Cacino di Angelo
Piazza del Campo
Torrefazione Fiorella
Duomo di Siena
Osteria Il Grattacielo dal 1840
Cantina in Piazza

It's in the nature of Italians to live life with a positive tone and to celebrate the invitations that come along in life. Italian food is so conducive to all of that. Love from Korea 🇰🇷💕
You know how we say in Italy….”La Dolce Vita” (The sweet life). 😊 Love from Italy ! 🇮🇹 ❤️
Antidepressants exists in Italy too
Don’t believe in what you watch on Tv. Italians are not the people you described
Visited Tuscany in Dec 2019…… made me really appreciate the fresh simple flavours and texture of pasta
Absolutely!
Woow, I’ m Italian and I can just say thank you! For sharing with everyone such an amazing country that’ s full of great food and even more important for its history, art, literature. So proud and thankful!
I would looove to tour Italy and just indulge in food and art history the entire time!
The Italian food we find outside of Italy is just a small portion of what Italy has to offer
Italian food is the same thing in global cuisine, what Dante's Divine Comedy is in Italian poetry. ;)
Beautiful vlog, Italia is amazing and italian food is the best
Totally agree!
@@LukeMartin respect bro 👏
What a drooling 7th episode night😊😋 The T-bone steak is 🤤, plus nice and amazing place😍 Thanks Luke and Sabrina, keep safe always😇😇
👍🙏
No way could I eat that! Knives need sharping!
OMG! My friend and I went there today based on your recommendation! We scheduled our day around it! Lol. The food was wonderful as was the vino! We met a young man who was celebrating his birthday so we bought him a glass, toasted him and enjoyed his company for an hour or so! Thanks, again! Love your channel. Heading to Florence tomorrow and will get to your recommended restaurant that opens at 11! Can hardly wait to try the pasta and amazing beef dish! 😍
remember watching a jazz concert in that square one night sitting on a blanket sipping on wine and eating some cheese ...memorable night .
I come from an Italian/Italian-American family. Those simple pasta dishes, we have eaten on a weekly basis since my childhood. I love watching the Italy videos because I see all the things my family eats (especially Rome, Tuscany, and Sicily). I didn't realize how much is very specific to Italian culture. When I share food and recipes with friends, they are perplexed (but also in love) which should have given me a realization that the food is not normal for what people are used to here in America, especially in Florida where I live.
You were a bit unlucky about the whether, glad you enjoyed my hometown though! Hopefully you'll come visit again! Il Grattacielo is one of our "vinai" (now "osteria"), most of us locals have had launch or dinner there - or even better, a "champion breakfast"! :D Vinsanto and "cantucci" (the typical biscuits you had) are a huge classic!
@Mr.Rupert Angelo Non ho capito cosa vuoi dire, scusa!
My absolute favorite town in Italy! Wish I was there.
Such a beautiful part of Italy! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Italy is Amazing!❤️
What a terrific series. I want to visit Italy now to experience the beauty of the land and their food.🤗🤗
Hope you can visit Italy some day Alice!
I am living in Tuscany for almost 15years at montalcino countryside with my family It's a undiscrible chalm life with nature genuine food (olive oil, wine ) just giving you sense of living
Those simple pasta dishes from the osteria looked delicious. I learned in Italy that a small dish of pasta without tons of sauce all over it is more than sufficient to satisfy. I love it. Side note: An osteria is akin to the English 'tavern' with a little more emphasis on drinking than eating, but it totally depends on the particular establishment. In the early 70's I would go to a local osteria where they would serve a bottle of wine, a plate with a few cheeses, a few slices of salami, some fresh garlic cloves and a chunk of bread. I loved it.
Sienna is SO gorgeous!! It’s like stepping back in time there🥰
I loved that there are NO billboards or advertising there. It’s so chill. I was only there a day and I wish I could’ve stayed a week💗
Delicious food, beautiful town people are friendly, good-nature
What a great country, hope you enjoyed your trip!
I lived there for a few years. Loved it.

I really love watching these videos! 😊👍🏼
Wow that was amazing 👌just wish your episodes was a bit longer i could watch them all day😁.. Love you guys 😍
Glad you liked "vinsanto". This is a "vino passito" that means: wine made with "dried" grape. When the grape dries, loses water and so the concentration of sugar increases, therefore when the wine is made with this grape the alcool rate increases to at least 15/16% and it is also very sweet. Let's say that it is between a regular wine and a liquor, so it's best to be tasted as a dessert with cantucci, for example. The "vino passito" is common also in other Italian regions.
I'm Italian, I just discover your videos.
I'm really happy to see you discover, taste and love our country like most of us do. You male me proud of this! Thanks!
I would like to give you one advice: it is much better if you wait at least an hour or two before drinking a bottle of Brunello, after opening it.
Cin cin
I want to visit Siena NOWWWWW! I feel like their foods have their own unique style and taste (I mean obvi) but it's just so much more apparent in this video. As a foreigner, I don't see these nuances of different Italian cuisines but something about these foods in Siena made me 'connect' with their cuisine. Not sure if I'm connecting for the right reasons but I get a sense of Rustic, Raw (not literally lol), Unapologetic, Simple, Delicious, Unpretentious... love these qualities in foods and cultures. LOL Sabrina 4:14 - "unfortunately it started raining so we're going to head out and get some coffee"
Thank you for sharing your experience 🙂

First time watching. Said their from Canada. Was waiting to hear the all famous about. He totally said about the Canadian way! My night is complete. Also. This food looks soooooo good!
Italy is a wonderland for everything...sea, mountains, arts, everything.
But the food is something impossible to show. You must taste.
From the north to the sicily you can have an amazing trip about taste, really different from region to region.
And the different types of wine...love it!!
I'm italian (but my father came from France) and i love cooking too.
You have to try Umbria. Simply delicious

Excellent 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Thank you! You too!
Love you guys! And italy is probably the most fun country to do food-vlogs in. Where are you going next?
Thank you for the video. The steakhouse was a win for me. The massive steak itself looked absolutely yummy, and the outdoor dining area looked cozy and relaxing.
If you come to Italy in late Spring or Summer you'll definitely find that every restaurant has outdoor dinner places. Very beautiful expecially in the countryside.
What a way to end the Italy tour with that Steak!
Couldn’t leave without trying it!
Loved all of the Italy videos, thank you guys!
Man that Risotto looked yum 😍
I love your videos so much from Kaslo BC Canada :)
Great video I'm going to Tuscany right now :D
The Steak look so Great
StaySafe Luke&Sabrina

I liked Italy, Thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed the series!
Everything looks delicious. You both are funny. We love wine too🍷😁
Very nice 😊 Yummy!! 🤤
Thank you 😋
Dip..dip..dip, Luke. My mouth just watering. Sweet
Out of curiosity, when going from Rome to Sicily, did you consider going on the Night Train (which goes on a ferry from mainland Italy to Messina) instead of taking a plane? Because of its uniqueness, that would have been a good video to make for your second channel.
They are common ugly and not so clean trains . They are not really beautiful that is why 1 hour flight is better than 10 hour train
Nice good experience !
NYC sharing 👍
Italy is the most beautiful country in the world. Period.
Nice Italy trip :)
Ah! The sun flowers, the presentation of the steak. 😋 mouthwatering. Beautiful city, nice refreshing atmosphere all in all.
Bell video
Luke, to "fare la scarpetta" means to make a little shoe for what sauce is left from your pasta dish. You guys like Italy a little too much, don't blame you. ;)
Now you too are members of the "scarpetta club"!! Always nice exeriences!! Buon viaggio raga!!!
Beautiful ❤️
Nice vedeo very interisting VIVA Italia
Haha funny when you said its a type of beef called Manzo beef. manzo means Beef. So you called it Beef beef hahaha.
Great video! :)
Your content of food evaluation are pretty reasonable. Unlike some others everything’s into their month are delicious regardless or eat very unhealthy foods etc., you both are very cute couple. Enjoy ur videos, keep safe.
My Whole Family Sit Down In The Coach And Enjoy Your Show :]
This is my city Siena, am happy you enjoyed everything.
Hi , I'm proud that you like my city and our specialities.
You ate the steak at Grillo Moro restaurant...basically at half mile from my home.
Il Grattacielo.... my friends Matteo , Luca and Lonzi are the owners. Amazing place . Do you know why its name is grattacielo?
Killer trip you guys. Wow.
Hello Luke and Sabrina such beautiful content you guys make. I wish to see more about the places you visit though and not just the food. Take care!
Italian pasta, a real delight
Sos this looks amazing I miss Italy so much 😭😭😭
Hope you guys get more subs and views.
great video thanks for sharing ,you may like to know that vin santo is made from grapes that are picked and then left dehydrate until like sultanas then pressed , the duomo would have been 4 times bigger but for the plague and manzo means beef in Italian chiania which is local to siena and florence
Very nice
What do I have to say? Siena is my home, you' ll be always welcome. Really nice doc. 😀
Hi guys. Great video and great Italy series. Can you tell me where you got the panini? I would love to go the next time I am in Siena.
