We all have lives and we're not constantly checking championship stats. So when we sit down to rewatch a meet with full coverage, WE DON'T NEED TO KNOW THE CHAMPION FROM THE OUTSET!!!
Competing with an injury in a heptathlon and still winning silver... An injury like that can totally mess with your mind. It's easy to become too careful and hold back or completely plow through the pain and do more than is wise just to perform well. It's a difficult balancing act. I'm interested to see how Nafi is going to come back when that elbow is healed.

Provide more analysis with the commentary, not just a stream of useless words about the competition between Thiam and Johnson-Thompson (I can't believe how much time was spent dissecting the point spread between the two over the whole video). Periods of silence can work wonders for enhancing the viewer experience, particularly with regards to building anticipation.
I don't know what all time list they are looking at because Jess Ennis was never 4th on it. Her best is 6955, he's missing Larisa Nikitina 7007 and Sabine Braun 6985. KJT goes 6th All Time after this performance.

Not really they r training super hard right now and improving and they dont have the stress of competition and they dont need to stop training so hard a week before the comp they can just keep training hard! It's better also for the athletes who were injured and now they can heal
