You know Bob? The more I see these beiers, the more I'm starting to like them. I just might pick one up from ya on my next build. So much customization
I am so glad I'm watching these Beier Videos again. I FORGOT just how AWESOME it is!! I'm not stuck with what comes in the Sound Unit (MFC!), and things like being able to adjust volume from the RECIEVER! Just incredible!
I just want say thank you for doing these videos I love the Beier system (I have USM-RC-2) it shows people it's not as complicated as they think and the versatility of Beier system is I think the best controler on the market for price. I use mine with a Taranis x9 using sbus giving 8 channels to USM-RC-2 and 8 channels to receiver 😁
Apparently the THIRD time watching these! So Bob... Have you ever tried replacing one of the toggle switches on the Radio with a momentary ON switch for Ch. 6?? So you don't have to switch back and forth to start the Engine.
Hi Bob Thanks for all the videos. They are fantastic. My Beier gear arrived yesterday and I am also using a FS-I6X radio and 10 channel receiver. I am trying to get an overview straight in my head and to understand how all the parts join up. However I am missing something when I consider the following... - I have ten channels on the radio and receiver - I can patch up to six of these to six proportional channels on the SFR-1. If a channel is not patched how do I have access to it? Why do I have 16 Prop channels in the configuration tab? - I have outputs to 3 servers and one motor and to 16 lights - Is the mismatch (in my head) of inputs and outputs all related to S-BUS - what does sbus do? I am a newbie so maybe there is something basic that everyone knows. Have I missed a nugget in one of the videos? Post a link here if there is one I should watch Thanks again Ray
@@HobbyconceptsLLC i ran all my wires on my dozer and ordred the sound unit through wess and will be installing when i riceive it , will be looking for your video , great job on your channel ,i allways look forward to your next video , keep up the good work.
Hi,just loving your vids with your clear explainations.Good job. Got my sfr-1 up and running but having trouble with the smoke generator,. Bought the unit from AD-RC but i'm confused by the connections. Can you suggest a good smoke unit that is easy to connect to the sfr and will fit in tamiya trucks without a seperate battery to power it ?
Bob.... SIXTH time!!! HEEEEELLLLLLP!!!!! 😳 I can't get the Steering to work, at all, no matter what. And I've only got Prop 1, 2 and 3. AND, NOTHING saves!!! I go to close it out, it asks "do you want to save project?" Of course yes. But it WON'T save. It says it's a write protected file!! I'm LOST! Is the Beier USM RC-2 THAT much different?
Welcome back Bob. It,s great to see some great videos
Looks alot easier then I first thought it was.i will have to get one when I get my first truck.
Like eating an Elephant - one bite at a time......

Bob, this is the best tutorial ever.
Greetings from germany 👋🍻
Thank you very much! I am just trying to make it simple and show how you can set it up one piece at a time.
@3:21 just click "Delete Assignments to clear all settings for that Prop
Nice, I did not know that!
Almost convinced. Now to part 3.
Great work man. Got me going.
Thank you! This is amazing! Simple but still very advanced, I just love this!
Sounds like you are having a lot of fun figuring it out. I wish this was available when I did my truck.
Take the other suff out and put a SFR-1 in. Rc semi trucks are never finished!
Thanks for the video Bob! you're a good teacher.

So AWESOME! I can't wait to get one!!
Thanks for the great info Bob. 👍
I like to put the engine start on a rotary knob. It is like turning the key 🔑
Nice👍
If you select direct start/stop in the program, then you can start and stop the additional sound with the same switch movement
That is the beauty of the SFR-1, you can set it up anyway YOU like it.

I have used other radios set up that way and it works great.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC GOOD! I'll try it.

❤😍🔥👍
If you have SBus output on your rx, you should use that option. It is so much easier to setup and use. A single cable for all radio fun
Does what you were explainning also apply to the sound and light module
Yes, pretty much. The software is very similar. I will do a video on the USM unit also.

But where in the software do you set the length of time needed to distinguish between a cold start and a hot start?
You forgot to add a Jake break sound for when you are slowing down.

As a personal preference only. Would you choose the MFC option or these units price aside?
In my personal trucks the Beier for sure. On most trucks I build for customers or for stock I use the MFC because it is simpler.
Is it possible to get this all setup and renning with a trigger based controler? Flysky GT5?
No problem. However most all pistol grip controllers lack the nicer selection of swithces and knobs needed to get the best use of the system.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Just bought my first truck inc MFC03 and trailer, will have to look into modding my GT5
put the file in to youtube converter and it just ends up with error and the file is nowhere to be found ffs
Email me and I can help you out. My email is in the video descriptions.
Tried this but it says libraries not found. Been trying for hours! Has anyone got the same issue?
Doesn't work for me either

This video may help: ua-cam.com/video/bhTIBk67mFA/v-deo.html If you have specific questions email me.
The volume control from the radio using the VRA pot would be better if you assigned the Prop#5 to directly control the volume (General tab - Volume).
